Edge of the Apocalypse

Chapter 285: Collusion

Chapter 285: Collusion

Alan looked at the man seriously.

He had the same pale hair as Alan. However, the difference was that his white color was grey, with a hint of malnutrition. The man's complexion was slightly dark, as if he had been active on the ground for many years and had been exposed to the sun. He had a pair of icy blue pupils, and ice fragments seemed to dance in the depths of his eyes. The part below his nose was blocked by the yellow-brown cloak collar on his body. Beneath the cloak was a black suit of strength.

There were two sharp blades on the left side of his waist, one long and one short, and a row of throwing knives stuck into his belt. His hands were naturally hanging down on both sides, but it gave off the feeling that he could attack at any time.

"You have guts enough to know that the predators are still planning to hunt them," Allen said.

'"I'm a predator hunter who specializes in hunting these bastards. I've been tracking them for two years, and I've found them with great difficulty. I won't let you ruin my good fortune."

"Then I'll tell you." "Nine years ago, the predators destroyed my town and killed my mother. Now they're there, and I'm going to take them away. If you want to stop them, I can only use force."

The man's eyes shone with surprise. He looked at Alan seriously for a moment and nodded, "Alright. Since that's the case, I'll go with you. But leave the head of the steel hammer to me. I'll trade him for the bounty."

"What's the steel hammer?"

"You don't know their leader?"

Alan shook his head and said, "We really don't have much information. If you don't mind..."

"I can tell you, but it's not free." The man said.

So the man joined the team. He was very silent on the road. He rarely spoke except to Alan about the information of the predators. This man's name was Yin. Of course, this wasn't his real name, but some kind of code name. According to what Silver knew, this group of predators had more than 200 people. Their leader was called Steel Hammer. This name seemed to have something to do with their leader's abilities.

The troop walked through the mountains to a high ground, where Alan and Silver were looking down on the ground. Not far below was a cave, guarded by a few predator soldiers. There were all sorts of modified vehicles parked beside it. It looked like a simple parking lot. Some of the guards were sitting on the hood, some were sitting in a shadowy corner, smoking, drinking, or talking loudly. They didn't look like ordinary people.

'"I've already stepped on it. There are a few gaps that lead to the belly of the mountain. I was going to sneak in and plant high explosives, blow up their nest and force the steel hammer out. But the noise is too big. It's hard to say if I can catch the steel hammer. Now that I have you, it's another matter." Silver shrank back and said.

Alan asked, "What are your plans?"

"It's very simple. Your men are holding back, while I sneak into the belly of the mountain. Once you attack and attract the attention of others, I will be responsible for killing the steel hammer."

Alan nodded, "That's it, but I'll go with you."

"Alright, as long as you can keep up with me. Also, don't alarm the steel hammer beforehand." Yin said simply.

Alan called Matt over and conveyed the idea of silver. Mark, head down. Prepare to attack. Allen and Silver left first. They circled the front of the mountain exit. During this time, Allen paid attention to Silver's movements. He always leaned in one place and then moved quickly without any light. The cloak on his body was the same color as the mountain rock, and it was extremely hard to discover when he was still, but it was more like a mountain chameleon.

The two of them didn't say anything and occasionally only used their eyes to make eye contact. Silver was evidently well aware of the area, and he led Ellen down a narrow crevice that was so narrow that he had to walk sideways. It was not that Allen and Matt were skinny, so it would be difficult for them to squeeze in. A moment later, the rift widened and became a narrow path. The further he went, the more complicated the tributaries were. However, between some of the cracks in the mountains and rocks, there was a flame that could be heard, and human voices could be heard.

Allen looked down at a stone crevice. In a natural mountain belly below, the men and women of the predators were falling asleep. A small number of them were not sleepy. Either talking loudly or having sex. These people did not shy away from the public even when they were enjoying themselves.

These people were no different from wild beasts.

Silver beckoned for Alan to follow. The two of them walked or climbed in the winding passageway until they came to a stop. Silver lay on the ground and carefully removed a stone. There were some round holes under it, and one could see the scene below. Alan followed his example and lay on the ground, looking through a round hole. Below was a relatively narrow cave. The ground was covered with animal hides. A middle-aged man was sitting on the ground, and a few naked women surrounded him.

Allen and Silver exchanged glances and found it strange, because this man did not look like a predator.

As the two of them were chatting, the sound of gunfire suddenly came from outside. Silver raised his head and gestured for action. Alan nodded and followed him forward. On the other side of the passageway, Silver kicked a rock in front of him, which he should have dug up beforehand. After being kicked by him, it actually rolled out, revealing a gap. Alan followed the silver drill and jumped into a small cave. The air here stinks, and the stone walls on the ground are stained with blood. There was also a headless corpse piled up beside him. There was a natural stone platform with a meat cutter stabbed into it. Compared to the missing flesh and blood on the corpse, the effect of this cave was very obvious.

This was a slaughterhouse, and the target of slaughter was humans!

A figure appeared at the entrance of the cave. A naked man wearing an apron made of animal hide came in with two bone chopping knives. Seeing the two of them roar and raise their sabers, Silver waved his hand and a silver light flashed through the cave. Suddenly, there was a throwing knife at the predator's throat. The blade was completely gone, and blood was constantly flowing out of the wound.

Silver didn't even look at this man as he drilled out of the cave. Alan also took out Qianjun and drilled out. The predators outside were mostly alarmed by the battle outside the cave. When they arrived at the cave where the bronze hammer was located, a man with clothes on was running out of the cave. Seeing that Allen and the others were shocked, Allen was just about to shout when he smashed his fist into his head and knocked him unconscious on the spot.

Yin looked at him, seemingly wondering why Alan didn't kill him. Alan said simply, "He's still useful."

Just now, this man clearly had dealings with the predators, and there was an organization or force behind him. Alan couldn't let go of the thought that someone was cooperating with a monster like the predator. Especially since the predators seemed to be under someone's orders, the person behind them deserved to die. Alan had already decided to pull this line out completely and would not let go of any of them.

Without stopping, Silver rushed into the cave where the steel hammer was. The woman's shouts and gunshots immediately rang out from inside. Alan rushed in with a knife and a predator woman rushed towards him with two knives in her hands. This woman's movements were as vigorous as a leopard's, and she was extremely explosive. The two blades danced into a ball of light in her hand, and Alan snorted coldly. The heavy saber pulled out a winding black tide and broke through the ball of light.

The sound of a broken flesh rang out. The woman screamed miserably and flew backwards. There was a bloody hole between the two peaks in front of her chest. Blood flowed endlessly. These predator women were naturally not kind, and Allen was merciless as he took their lives with a single saber.

Silver waved his hands and the flying knives swept across the space like silver threads, nailing the two women who had picked up their machine guns and shot them to death. Then, he took out his long and short blades and whirlwind them towards the two naked women who had pounced over with knives. Silver's double saber curves were obvious. Combined with his two main saber techniques of circle and rotation, his entire body danced out circles of silver saber rings, but he had both offensive and defensive abilities.

Amidst a series of clanging sounds, the sharp blades in the hands of the two women were swung open. The silver saber momentum exploded, and it disappeared from the two women's bodies. The two women coughed up blood and threw them to the ground. Allen's feet were already filled with two corpses.

This battle was extremely short, but it was extremely intense. The air was filled with a faint smell of blood. Alan and Silver stood with their sabers in their hands, staring at a tall figure standing in the shadows of the cave. "I recognize you. Your name is Yin." The steel hammer laughed at the two strong enemies.

"As for you, who are you? What kind of predator hunter are you?" Allen's face was filled with a strong sense of being injected. In the shadows, the steel hammer cast a pair of sharp eyes.

"No, I'm just here to take revenge. Nine years ago, a small Gobi town was destroyed by you. That's my home!"

Steel Hammer laughed loudly, "What a pity, countless towns were razed by me. I can't remember any Gobi Town."

"You don't have to remember" Alan raised Qianjun and the red saber on the heavy saber slowly melted away. "As long as I remember it, it's fine!"
