INNATE TALENT: ????
___________
Through <Inspect>, I learned many details about his <STATUS> but nothing about his Innate Talent. I couldn't find other information in <STATUS> such as Weapon Mastery, Spirit Items and Skills.
Maybe it was due to the low level of my <Inspect> Skill.
I also noticed that his Stats were higher than what an Lv.4 person should have.
Just then, I sensed another 15 Halos approaching the from the left side of the other side of the lake. Suddenly, those 15 Fate Halos changed their direction as they moved towards that person.
As those 15 halos got closer, they separated and surrounded that person from different directions. Only when those 15 Fate Halos appeared out of the dense line of trees could I tell that they were monsters, more precisely Wolves.
Among them, one was double the size of other wolves, and it even had two Fate Halos above its head.
Then, I used <Inspect> on it, and the skill levelled up thrice in an instant.
Even though its level and Stats were not visible, I could still see that it was a Tier-2 monster. That was when I learned that a Tier-2 monster will have two Fate Halos.
I saw Jay's Fate Halo turn from white to red, indicating that he was in danger for the next 10 seconds.
He was still drinking water and didn't even realise that he was surrounded by monsters.
I wanted to alert him by shouting, but right then I saw his Fate sequence as his virtual trajectory headed towards the nearby treetop and then moved from tree to tree.
With that, I understood that he would be able to escape them. Just as shown in the Fate Sequence, he escaped as he jumped to the nearest treetop and started leaping from tree to tree.
Soon, those wolves chased him as they disappeared into the dense trees.
Even though I couldn't see them, I perceived their Fate Halos as the back of my hand since they were within my 1000 meter range.
What puzzled me was that after crossing 300 meters, his movement speed at which he leapt from tree to tree explosively increased as I could sense his Fate Halo moving 30 meters with each leap.
Even though the other 14 single Fate Halos couldn't keep up with Jay's Fate Halo, the Tier-2 monster's Halo continued to chase him closely.
Soon, Jay's Fate halo and all the monster's Fate Halos exited my 1000 meter range, and I couldn't perceive them anymore.
I wanted to cross the 500-meter vast lake to see if Jay escaped the monsters.
But, right then, 200 meters to my left, I found five humanoid creatures that had lizard features, walking out of the lake to the same side of the lake bank that I was at.
Four of them carried a shark-sized fish, and they had a single Fate Halo above their heads, but the bigger one leading them had two Fate Halos stacked together on top of its head.
I instantly understood that it was a powerful Tier-2 monster.
I freaked out thinking that they might find me and hid in a bush beside the tree that I hid behind till then.
I didn't try to peek at them and instead activated my <Fate Sequence Perception>. I was relieved when I perceived that their Fate Sequences weren't heading towards me.
Together, they walked into some kind of underground entrance that's hidden within the meadow field. I didn't even know that there was a hidden entrance there.
Then, by keeping my <Fate Sequence Perception> activated, I sensed another 8 Fate Halos a few meters beneath the meadow field.
Among them, another one had two Fate Halos stacked together, indicating that there was another Tier-2 monster there.
Finding that there were two Tier-2 monsters just a few hundred meters, I didn't dare to stay there anymore and carefully moved away from the direction the lizard monsters were at.
With extreme caution, I travelled for a few hundreds of meters and looked towards the top left of my vision that showed the time. It has been 23 hours and 48 minutes since I was teleported.
Right then, a notification popped up in front of me.
[One of the Earth's Alpha Chosen reached Lv.10 and unlocked a new function, <Trail Zone Alpha Leaderboard>.]
When I found that someone already reached Lv.10, I was shocked since I knew that Life Energy required to Level up gets higher per each level.
I opened the <Trial Zone Alpha Leaderboard> and looked at the list of the 11 Earth's Alpha Chosen names and their respective levels.
I found that I was second from the bottom, and when I saw Jay's name, I was mind blown since he is the first one in the leaderboard with Lv.10.
Only a few minutes passed since I saw him being in Lv.4 and he already reached Lv.10. That got me thinking just how powerful his Innate Talent was.
As I was in my thoughts, a few gigantic notifications appeared in the sky as it resounded within my mind. It was about an Alpha chosen that was the first one to reach Tier-2 in the Trial Program.
Then I obtained something called Basic Tier-2 Information' and only then did I learn the true scale at which the Trial Program was taking place.
The Trial Zone that I was in was nothing but a small part of the vast Trial World.
Another few minutes passed and a similar situation repeated as another set of gigantic notifications appeared in the Vast sky. Another Alpha Chosen reached Tier-2.
For them to reach Tier-2 within a day, it got me thinking about how they could reach Tier-2 just within 24 hours of the start of the Trial Program.
As I thought about it, I suddenly remembered Jay as he was able to level up from Lv.4 to Lv.10 within a matter of a few minutes.
Then, another set of gigantic notifications appeared in the Sky. When I was about to get numb of those notifications, I jumped in shock as a familiar name resounded in my mind.
I was sure that it was the same person that saw before since the notifications mentioned that he was from Earth.
Anyhow, out of curiosity, I opened the <Trial Zone Alpha Leaderboard> to find that he reached Tier-2.
With how fast Jay levelled up, I would have mistaken him for a monster in human form If not for me personally looking at his species being a human in his <STATUS>.
To my glee, a minute after that, I received a notification saying that I will be teleported back to Earth for an 18 hour rest period.
Just like that, I was back on the same road that I was on before I abruptly got teleported from a cab.
But, with me popping out of nowhere in the middle of the road, I was almost hit by a car.
I suppressed my urge to vomit in the middle of the road and successfully managed to save myself from the embarrassment.
Except for the lady who almost hit me with her car, almost no one seemed to notice me suddenly appearing on the road.
At least that was what I thought until she scolded me for trying to commit suicide. Without correcting her, I excused myself to the roadside and waited for a cab.
In no time, I found a cab, and to my surprise, it was the same cab driver in whose cab I teleported from.
When he realised that it was me who got in the cab, I once again received a proper scolding.
Since I couldn't tell him that I was teleported to a mystical world filled with monsters, I paid him twice the fare for my previous disappearance. He took me to the hospital that the Restaurant owner, Uncle Roberto, was admitted in.
With that, the cab driver's mood brightened and took me to the hospital. He also handed me my phone that remained in his cab when I was teleported to the Trial World.
When I looked at the date and time on my phone, I was shocked to find that only 6 hours passed. After that, I also noticed the 18 hour-long countdown timer on the top left of my vision.
Soon, I reached the hospital and soon entered Uncle Roberto's Ward. Unlike what he told me, he wasn't recovered and instead was on his deathbed, on the verge of dying.
When I learned that, my mind blank for a few seconds, and I experienced a pain that I have never felt before. It originated from the thought of losing the only person you love as a family.
He wanted to talk to me one last time, and hot tears rolled down my cheeks when he even prepared his will that contains the restaurant's ownership, for when he dies.
I rejected his offer several times but was met with his stubbornness. He said that after his wife and son died; he lost his hope to live until he met me, whom he treated as his own son.
He also said that God seemed to end his time in the world and that he would be reunited with his family soon. His every word sent me bitter chills of pain.
Then, I remembered the existence of the Trial World that I momentarily forgot, and it got me thinking about the mystical trial world and that it might have medicine that could help Uncle Roberto improve his health.
After that, I blackmailed him the same way he did and made him promise that he will not give up on his life.
I stayed with him, and we talked for a long time, and like that 17 hours in the timer passed. In the last hour, I prepared food and other necessaries just in case and waited for the timer to end.
...….
I reappeared in the exact location before I was teleported back to Earth. Then some notifications appeared in the sky, showing that more Alpha Chosen reached Tier-2.
But they were smaller than those that appeared at the end of Day-1.
As I looked at the notifications in the sky, my <Fate Sequence Perception> activated by itself. I could see a virtual trajectory in the shape of an arrow pointing towards my head.
I traced back the arrow's virtual trajectory to the top of a tree branch that was 150 meters away from me, and there I saw a green-skinned creature with a bow and arrow and a vicious smile on its face.
I could tell that it was a Tier-2 creature from the two Fate Halos stacked together on top of its head.
Along with that, I could see several other Fate Halos spread on the ground that was not so far away from the green-skinned creature with a bow.
Once they found that I noticed them, the Fate Sequence changed into a different one. I could perceive virtual trajectories of more than 15 monsters rushing towards me.
Other than the green-skinned monster with a bow, two more monsters had two stacked Fate Halos each.
I was scared out of my wits and started to run for my life. Against three Tier-2 monsters and tens of Tier-1 monsters, my ability to perceive their fate sequences for the next 10 seconds wasn't much help.
All I could do was to dodge the arrows and fire projectile attacks, but that didn't matter as the monsters got closer and closer to me. I even left my backpack that I brought food with, as it hinders my comparatively slow sprint speed.
I did my best to run away from them, but even with my ability, it didn't take long before a ball of fire exploded just two meters behind me.
The impact sent me crashing into a tree, which broke a few of my ribs along with other bone fractures. On top of that, the fire burned most of my skin on the back.
My body screamed in pain to even barely move as I laid on the ground.
The first ones to arrive near me were the three Tier-2 monsters.
The one in the middle, stepped forward and pointed the staff in its hand and flames started to form out of nowhere, and when the ball of fire reached 2 meters tall, it began to condense into a smaller size.
A crazy look appeared on its face as if it wanted to see how I would die from its attack.
Even though I lost all hope, I was unwilling to die like that. Thinking about what would happen to Uncle Roberto, hatred towards those monsters burned within me.
Just then, a notification popped up in front of me.
[Congratulations! You have awakened your 2nd Innate Exclusive Skill, <Fate Sequence Alteration>.]
