Chapter 246: Bullies, Bullied.
Chapter 246: Bullies, Bullied.
Jay recognized the person in the lead right away. He was no stranger to Rohan, a schoolmate and a sadistic bully who thrived on the suffering of others.
As the son of the Quadnite Conglomerate Chairman, Rohan ran amok, bullying anyone unlucky enough to cross his path.
His cruelty knew no bounds, and he seemed to take perverse pleasure in the pain and humiliation of his victims. There were rumors that in his previous school, Rohan had bullied a kid to death.
The victim's parents filed a police case against him, but no action was taken. In the end, all charges magically disappeared, and all the punishment he received was to drop out and join another high school. He did so within a week, carefree of the past incidents.
Rohan didn't stop his deeds even after everything. He started anew, bringing every fledgling bully in the school under his control. His charisma and fear tactics drew in those eager for power or too afraid to oppose him.
They did the dirty work for him as he reigned over the high school, with no one to keep him in check. Even the teachers turned a blind eye to his actions after being warned by his father.
After all, the Quadnite Chairman's subordinate ran that high school. The administration was complicit, their silence bought by Rohan's influential family.
He had an uncanny ability to manipulate situations to his advantage, using threats, blackmail, and even bribery to maintain his iron grip on the school.
Rohan's reputation as an untouchable tyrant only grew with each passing day. He operated with impunity, his every whim enforced by his loyal followers. The school became a breeding ground for fear and unease in just a matter of months, with Rohan at the center of it all, orchestrating the chaos with sickening glee.
If there was anyone who clashed against him that he couldn't handle by himself or through his minions, Rohan always found a way to deal with them. The fear and influence he wielded were absolute. That was until he clashed against the eldest of the popular siblings in the high school. Jay stuck to his group of friends and didn't put his finger in others' matters.
Despite relentless bullying going on around him, he didn't set out to save everyone from the menace. As long as his bubble wasn't interrupted, he wouldn't act.
There were times when a few bullied Jay, but he kept his head low and didn't take down those bullies despite having the capability to do so easily.
But everything changed one day when his sister accidentally bumped into one of the bullies. They threw his sister out of her wheelchair, stamped on her, called her a cripple, and added more insults.
Although Qew kept it quiet, the matter still reached Jay's ears through the students who witnessed it. What she feared came true as Jay went berserk. He thrashed the bullies to the point they suffered several bone fractures.
However, that didn't end there. It all began with that incident. The words of a bully made Jay take drastic measures—so drastic that for the next week, every bully in their high school had to suffer for it.
"You know who I answer to? Rohan. Heard of him, right? Well, listen up. From today onward, you, your siblings, and your friends won't know a moment's peace. Tomorrow, all hell breaks loose for you."
The bully got one thing right. All hell was loose, but the roles reversed. From the following day, Jay actively searched for bullies and thrashed them left and right.
It didn't matter how big or muscular the bully was; he knocked them cold with ease. He made sure to break some of their bones while he was at it.
Rohan had created a climate of fear and control, but Jay's retaliation sent shockwaves through the school. The bullies who once terrorized others found themselves at the receiving end.
Jay's rampage through the school was nothing short of legendary. Each day, he would find new targets, targets to dismantle. He moved with precision and purpose, his strikes calculated to inflict just enough damage to lay waste to the bullies.
The once-feared bullies, who had thrived under Rohan's protection, lived in terror of Jay. They tried to fight back, but Jay was relentless. His anger, honed into a weapon by his training, was unstoppable.
The atmosphere in the school shifted dramatically. Whispers of Jay's vengeance spread like wildfire, and for the first time, students who had been victims of bullying walked the halls with their heads held high.
The fear that had gripped the school for so long began to dissipate, replaced by a newfound sense of hope and defiance.
Jay had become more than just a student; he was a symbol of retribution, a beacon of resistance against the tyranny that Rohan and his bullies had imposed.
Jay's reputation soared even higher than before, surpassing his status as the top athlete. Whichever class he went to in search of bullies resulted in positive responses from the students who had suffered at the hands of the bullies.
By the weekend, Jay had weeded out almost every single bully in the entire school, leaving just Rohan and a few others.
Rohan had sent several bullies after Jay, but they met the same fate. He even sent some hooligans after Jay during after-hours, but they were all dealt with by Aadrik, the chief of security for Jay's family, who came daily to pick up the triplets and their cousin, Lokesh.
Within the high school, Jay was unstoppable, and even Rohan's attempts to bring the school higher-ups to his assistance didn't go well. Many students united together and testified against Rohan because of the atrocities committed by him and his bullies.
On the day Jay came after him, Rohan made his last stand with the final bunch of bullies. After a one-sided beating, Rohan suffered the same fate as his underlings.
His situation worsened every time he threatened to destroy Jay's siblings, friends, and family. He did the very thing that triggered Jay and paid for it. It took tens of security guards to stop Jay from crushing Rohan.
After that incident and the undeniable proof of Jay's savage beating, he was placed on a month-long suspension while Rohan had to spend his time in a hospital. Jay hadn't seen Rohan ever since, and there he was, limping his way toward Jay, his right arm still in a fracture cast.
It had been two months since then, and Rohan had been admitted to the same multi-speciality hospital Jay was at—the most prominent one in the nearby cities.
The memory of that violent confrontation was still fresh in Jay's mind as he watched Rohan approach with a sadistic smile on his face.
