Chapter 183.11: First Segment. (Part-11)
Unlike the audience, Felarial didn't question the vast gulf between Tiers. After all, he had seen the impeccable timing behind Dante's every move.
Even the deck of illusionary cards that allowed Dante to slide across the Stage in a rather strange manner didn't surprise him as much as the raw potential of Dante's Innate Talent.
Felarial assumed Dante's ability was to predict opponents' movements and attack patterns. If that were the case, there would have been one or two instances where he would have failed to estimate his opponent's moves.
However, throughout the 2nd Bout, what Dante showcased wasn't just having the upper hand but having everything on the back of his palm.
Among the last three arrows Dante fired, the first one made Seath use <Draft Glitch>, and the second one forced him to teleport to the location of a Time Draft, but at the same time, it served a hidden purpose as well.
As for the third one, it was launched in the direction of the Time Draft with which Seath used to switch his position.
As soon as the duration of <Draft Glitch> ended, Seath was left with no choice but to switch to the last Time Draft location.
The next moment Seath did that, he was still struck by an arrow, not by the third one but by the Second one, as it was perfectly timed in a way it would hit him the moment he teleported for the last time.
As someone who could see other's Fate Sequences, Dante could basically see the virtual path trajectory of anyone's actions in the next 100 seconds.
Because of that, Dante knew precisely where on the Stage Seath would be at any given moment.
If the audience were to learn Dante has such an ability, winning the Bout wouldn't have been dumbfounding for them.
The rest of the members of the Owlite Team were still in shock, finding it hard to digest that their Team leader lost without much retaliation.
When Felarial removed the barrier around the Stage, a bunch of the Owlites carried the unconscious Seath back to their seating area and ingested some Health recovery treasures to let him recover.
That worked, and by the time the second strongest Owlite walked onto the Stage to face Dante, he regained his consciousness.
As Seath tried to recall how he lost, Felarial announced the start of the 3rd Bout, and when he noticed Dante draw three Aura Arrows within the bow rack, a sense of déjà vu filled him as that was the very same thing he saw just before knocking himself out.
As Seath observed the three arrows Dante released that travelled side by side towards his team member on the Stage, he screamed within his mind, 'The one in the middle is the real deal, Okut, dodge it!!'
Okut, the 2nd strongest one among the Owlites was smart enough to notice the same as Seath.
As someone at Tier-3, his time perception was high enough to glimpse through the three arrows shot at him were respectively aimed a little bit to his left, his current position and to his right.
From what he had seen in the previous Bout, Okut was wary of the enlarging arrows as they posed the most danger.
Taking Dante's ability to predict the opponent's moves into consideration, he would still be within the envisaged range of Dante's arrows, whether he remains unmoved or moves to his left or right.
He chose the best possible course of action and flew up to dodge the arrows. But little did he know Dante had long expected his move.
Among the three arrows shot at Okut, the one in the middle expanded in size as expected due to the skill <Arrow Gigantification>.
At one point, the size of the middle arrow's shaft grew large enough to deviate the arrows to its left from their original course and elevated them, just enough to pierce through the vital spots of Okut's wings and throw him back on to the Stage.
By the time he fell, Dante had launched another set of arrows and pinned his legs to the Stage before dealing the finishing blow by raining down arrows on him.
When Okut couldn't take it anymore, Felarial intervened and announced Dante as the winner.
From the beginning to the end, the 3rd Bout took at most a couple of seconds before coming to an end.
Under the audience's astonished gazes, Dante stepped off the Stage before taking his seat among the Earth's Alpha Chosen.
They began to wonder how strong the rest of the Earth team members were if a Tier-2 Low-Phase individual was already so powerful.
"Uhh! The headache is killing me." Dante kneaded his forehead while taking his seat beside Jay.
The rest of the Earth team members didn't find the headache odd since it was a common occurrence when one exhausts their Spirit Energy.
After defeating Seath, Dante was left with just enough Spirit Energy to use <Arrow Gigantification> twice.
Instead of using it on two arrows, he used it on only one arrow and used the rest on utilizing regular Aura Arrows.
Although regular arrows couldn't bring out as much damage as the gigantified ones, he compensated for the high damage output with accuracy by striking Okut's vital points.
But by the end of 3rd Bout, Dante's Spirit Energy was utterly exhausted, leaving him with a pounding headache.
"You did well. Here, have these." Jay brought out a bunch of Grade-3 Spirit Fruits from his storage ring.
Dante hesitated since it was wasteful to eat them all at once, but with Jay shoving all those fruits into his hands, he reluctantly accepted and began munching on them to replenish his Spirit Energy.
Since Dante chose to step down from moving to the next Bout, the Earth team could send anyone of their choice.
As Felarial waited for the 4th Bout's combatants, Jay turned to Brandon, "Go. Make it quick."
