Earth's Alpha Prime

Chapter 146

It took a good while for the Rock Magmoids to digest the new revelation and the shock that came with it.

The information they learned in the past quarter-hour was against everything they thought they knew about Holt.

Never did they expect Holt to stoop too low just to replace Halbor and become the highest-ranked individual among his trial zone team members.

Soon, their expressions changed to obvious anger and resentment, but none of them took action to beat Holt up, who was defenceless with no arms and legs.

Among them, Halbor was the one who suffered the most emotional toll. After all, he treated Holt as his own brother.

Never in his wildest dreams did Halbor expect Holt to harbor such hatred towards him.

Although he didn't say even a word, the pain in his eyes was clear to everyone in that room.

It took a while for Halbor to regain his composure from the emotional turmoil.

He then took a deep breath before saying to the Rock Magmoids, "Being the strongest one in our trial zone team doesn't mean I could hold power over you all. Instead, I bear the responsibility to bring our team and our planet to the greatest possible heights in the Alpha Program, within our capabilities."

Halbor made a short pause as he looked at Holt and continued after a sigh, "But one of us interpreted my intentions as control of power and schemed behind my back. With a taste of power, it wouldn't be long before some of you would do the same if the opportunity presents itself. You all might think I am being pessimistic, but truthfully, at this point, I don't know whom to trust. So, I have made a decision. Once the 1st Tournament ends, I will step down from being the Leader."

Halbor's statement brought a round of commotion among the rest of the Rock Magmoids.

The most loyal ones to Halbor hurriedly requested him to reconsider his decision and continue to lead them. But none of them was able to change Halbor's mind.

Jay nonchalantly watched without interfering as all that unfolded in front of him. It didn't matter to him if Halbor stayed as the Leader of their group or not. All that mattered to him were the teleportation devices.

Meanwhile, Min-soo stood by Jay's side, but his attention was fixated on the storage ring worn on his right hand. It was the same ring Jay extorted from the Lycanthrope, Raul.

Since Jay already has <Limiter Ring> as a storage item, he gave Min-soo the newly obtained storage ring.

But as a Space Innate Talent user, Min-soo's insight into the inner workings of a storage ring was relatively high. He was fascinated by how a portion of space was torn from reality and stored in something as small as a ring.

Other than that, Min-soo also inspected the pair of teleportation devices stored there through his bond with the space ring.

He was impressed by how Halbor spirit engineered the materials used for <Space Platform> to be compatible with the Space element. After all, it was the one thing missing in his research on Warp Technology.

After inspecting it for a while, Min-soo did as Jay asked him to do and brought out the pair of Space Platforms from that Space ring.

The appearance of two circular stages with a 3-meter radius each and an incomplete arch over their centres caught the attention of the Rock Magmoids. With that, what was left of their commotion came to an end.

{For a better picturisation of <Space Platform>, I would suggest you guys scroll down to find the pic link in this chapter's author note before continuing from where you left off.}

At the same time, Jay used the upgraded version of <Analyse>, <Scan> on those teleportation devices to find detailed information on them.

<Space Platform> (Rare Grade)

A stationary teleportation device that could create a short-range space gateway with another device of its kind.

Transmission Range: 100 Kms. (62 Miles)

Power Source: Spirit Crystals

(Charging it with 5 Grade-1 Spirit Crystal allows a single teleportation jump to any other Space Platform within the transmission range.)

(Charging it with 5 Grade-2 Spirit Crystal allows 10 teleportation jumps to any other Space Platform within the transmission range.)

(Charging it with 5 Grade-3 Spirit Crystal allows 100 teleportation jumps to any other Space Platform within the transmission range.)

(Charging it with 5 Grade-4 Spirit Crystal allows 1000 teleportation jumps to any other Space Platform within the transmission range.....and so on.)

Installing this device in any location requires 100 Grade-1 Spirit Crystals or 10 Grade-2 Spirit Crystals, or 1 Grade-3 Spirit Crystal.

The information Jay could see was much more detailed than what he found on <Exchange Market>.

As someone who has loads and loads of Spirit Crystals in possession, Jay didn't flinch at the expenditure of using Space Platforms.

The only problem was the short Transmission Range of 100 Kms.

Meaning that if one needs to make a teleportation jump from one Space Platform to another, those Space Platforms have to be within the transmission range of each other.

On the scale of typical short-range teleportation devices that were commonly used across the Universe, the range of 'Space Platforms' was on the lower end of the spectrum.

But Jay wasn't dissatisfied with that because as long as there were more Space Platforms, they could be used as a network of teleportation portals.

So, he right away said to Halbor, "I will provide you with all the necessary materials you need to mass-produce these Space Platforms. How long will it take you to create one hundred of them?"

Halbor was taken aback by that since the materials required to create a single <Space Platform> were so rare that he only found enough materials to make just two teleportation devices.

Reading Halbor's thoughts, Jay replied, "You don't have to worry about that. Just give me a number."

"Sir, refining the raw materials and using them to create well-proportioned components is quite a lengthy process and takes three-fourths of the entire process. All around, it would take me a day to create a single Space Platform."

Jay then looked at MJ, waiting to hear something from him.

"Master, as long as I once observe the refining process and the exact proportions used, I can replicate it with utmost precision in the least amount possible."

Jay then turned his gaze to Halbor, "You heard MJ. Demonstrate everything he needs, leave the time-consuming part to him, and focus solely on configuring the space element to the teleportation devices. Also, I have brought someone who could assist in the configuration aspect."

Min-soo then stepped forward and introduced himself while extending his arm for a handshake, "Nice meeting you, Halbor. As a space innate talent user, I admire your work a lot. With my understanding of the space element, I believe I could help improve the <Space Platform>'s efficiency and learn from you simultaneously. Let us get along well."

However, Halbor and the other Rock Magmoids gave him awkward looks. Not for what Min-soo said but for his hand-shaking gesture.

On their planet, Falud, only male or female prostitutes use that gesture when searching for their customers.

Jay, who had been through their memories, could read the situation with ease. He could only laugh inwardly at the awkward situation before walking off from there.

They would soon learn that Min-soo was just greeting them, so he didn't bother to clarify it.

Leaving MJ and Min-soo there, Jay returned to the Earth Trial zone team's Rest House.

Whilst relaxing in their respective rooms on the three floors above the common room on the ground floor, most of Earth's Alpha Chosen were still busy going through <Exchange Market> in the hopes of finding anything useful to them.

As for Rex, the leader of Lycanthropes, Jay planned to go meet him after Round-2 since he had more important things to do.

Jay entered his respective room among one of the four rooms on the 3rd floor and sat cross-legged on the floor before opening his <STATUS> to look at the cooldown on Qew's third Innate Exclusive skill, <Innate Talent Convergence>.

Actually, the cooldown should have 6 hours left in it since it was just 18 hours ago that Jay had used <Innate Talent Convergence> to create a tetra-elemental Innate Talent but strangely, that skill's cooldown clocks back into action every time it ends, even if it was not activated.

At that moment, the cooldown had less than 10 minutes before that skill could be used again.

Once the wait was over, Jay activated <Innate Talent Convergence> chose Darkness Innate Talent to merge with Thunder Flame Innate Talent and watched as the notifications rained in his vision.
