Chapter 5 – My Principal Challenge

Even in the darkness that was all around me, I had a glimpse of these messages from the system.

My voice could echo in the darkness, but it seemed that no one was there to hear it.

The silence of the darkness was unbearable.

My empty, self-deprecating thoughts were interrupted by a new message that shone through the darkness of that supernatural void.

"Ah! Finally! I thought I'd be stuck here with myself for all eternity!"

Soon, an intense wave of light enveloped me and pulled me back into the consciousness of my body. When my eyes opened, I saw the ceiling above me, a simple sight, but one that seemed almost surreal after the out-of-body experience I had had.

I blinked a few times, trying to adjust my vision. I was no longer in the park where Yumma had pierced my belly with the spear.

System windows began to appear, filling my field of vision with information.

I stretched my right arm toward the system messages and pulled them aside, closing them. Every muscle in my arm felt like new.

"I'm alive..." I muttered to myself to convince myself that my crazy plan had worked. "But where am I?"

I was lying on a bed, surrounded by a modestly decorated room. The softness of the sheets and the scent of flowers in the air were strange to me.

I slowly stood up, and it was then that I realized something strange: I was completely naked. My face immediately flushed. How the hell did I get naked?

I looked around the room I was in, trying to find any trace of my clothes, and that's when I heard a soft sound behind me, the subtle sound of the bed covers moving. My heart raced.
