Doomsday: I Become Invincible By Picking Up

Chapter 41

C41 – Do You Know Who He Is!!!

The dean of Dongfang Academy appeared to be a man in his forties, wearing gold-rimmed glasses that gave him a gentle appearance.

Despite his gentle demeanor, no one dared to underestimate him.

This was because he held the distinction of being one of the few Level 3 Evolvers in Jinling City.

As the dean listened to the Vice Principal’s words, his countenance shifted from calm to anger.

To think that someone dared to stir up trouble within Dongfang Academy; was this not a blatant challenge to his authority?

Just as the dean prepared to speak, his attention was drawn to Loong Chen. His expression transformed from anger to astonishment.

“Sir, why are you here?”

Fear crept into the dean’s visage. He had witnessed Loong Chen’s confrontation with Mo Qitian firsthand.

Subsequently, he had heard that Loong Chen held a position of great esteem within the Dragon God Temple.

Crossing paths with such an individual was something he couldn’t afford to take lightly.

The Vice Principal and the teachers and students present all observed the dean’s reaction.

They were collectively taken aback. Just who was this young man before them that could elicit such a fearful response from the dean?

Loong Chen found himself momentarily puzzled, but soon he grasped the situation. It appeared that the dean recognized him.

This made things much easier.

“I want my sister to study in your Academy.” Loong Chen said.

The dean was excited when he heard this.

He had always regretted not roping in Loong Chen with Zhang Qibing, but now, Loong Chen actually wanted his sister to join the Dongfang Academy.

Wasn’t this a good opportunity to get closer to Loong Chen?

“Master, do I need you to come here personally for such a small matter? I will definitely settle it for you.”

The dean of Dongfang Academy said hastily.

“If I hadn’t come this time, I wouldn’t have known that the Dongfang Academy, which is widely known in the outside world, also has a dark side to it.”

“I don’t feel at ease letting my sister stay in such a place.”

Loong Chen sneered.

The dean could clearly feel the displeasure in Loong Chen’s tone, and he immediately panicked.

If he provoked Loong Chen, the Dongfang Academy of Jinling City would no longer exist, right?

After all, the Mo family had fallen into Loong Chen’s hands.

“Sir, what do you mean?”

The dean hurriedly asked, hoping that there would be a chance to remedy the situation.

“What do I mean?”

“This individual is exploiting his status as the Vice Principal’s nephew to engage in wrongdoing within the Academy, yet your institution turns a blind eye. What does that say about me?”

Loong Chen emitted a cold snort. A chilling aura emanated from his being, causing the dean to involuntarily shudder.

He could deduce some key details from Loong Chen’s statements.

He had heard about how Fann Wei had abused his uncle, the Vice Principal’s authority, for illicit activities within the Academy.

However, in consideration of the Vice Principal, he had consistently looked the other way.

He had never anticipated that this very matter would now entangle him in such a grave predicament.

Whom are you all trying to provoke? Why associate with this malefactor? Are you all under the impression that you have exceptionally long lives?

“Sir, it’s true that I mishandled this situation, but I’m committed to providing a satisfactory explanation.”

The dean hurriedly said.

He aspired to make amends, if not win Loong Chen over, then at least avoid making him an adversary.

“Fann Wei, you’ve been engaged in wrongdoing within the Academy for so long, yet you dare to provoke someone of this caliber. Your fate is well deserved.”

“Today, I shall administer punishment in the name of Dongfang Academy. Execute him immediately as a warning to others!”

The dean spoke righteously.

Fann Wei, who had narrowly escaped Loong Chen’s clutches, had his expression shift abruptly upon hearing the dean’s words.

Anxious, he cast an imploring gaze at his uncle.

The Vice Principal furrowed his brows, discerning from the dean’s demeanor that this young man likely had a formidable background.

The dean appeared genuinely infuriated.

Yet, he couldn’t stand by and allow his nephew to meet his demise before his eyes, forcing him to speak.

“Dean, Fann Wei is indeed guilty, but his transgression doesn’t warrant death. I implore you to show mercy.”

Before Vice Principal could complete his plea, the dean curtly interrupted him.

“Faan Tianxing, you can’t evade responsibility either. You permitted your nephew to commit wrongdoing within the Academy. He has committed a grave offense. Henceforth, I hereby revoke your position as Vice Principal!”

A shadow descended over Vice Principal Faan Tianxing’s countenance.

He had never expected that the dean wouldn’t merely disregard his request but would also terminate his role.

“Dean, I believe you lack the authority to dismiss me, do you not?”

Faan Tianxing retorted coldly. Since the dean failed to accord him respect, he had no intention of reciprocating.

His appointment had been authorized by the Dongfang Academy’s central office, and the dean lacked the power to dismiss him.

“I will promptly report this matter to headquarters. Your dismissal is only a matter of time.”

The dean snorted coldly.

Although the dean didn’t have the authority to be dismissed, with his relationship with the Dongfang Academy, it was easy for him to dismiss Vice Principal.

When Faan Tianxing heard this, his face darkened to the extreme, because the dean had to hold him accountable.

“Qin Mo, are you really going to pursue this matter? This won’t do us any good.”

Faan Tianxing began to threaten the dean.

“Faan Tianxing, I’m actually trying to protect you.”

Qin Mo sighed.

“Protect me? You killed my nephew and exempt me from my duties. Are you doing this to protect me?”

“Which is more important than Fann Wei’s life and Vice Principal’s identity compared to your entire family?” Qin Mo asked.

“What do you mean?”

Faan Tianxing didn’t understand what Qin Mo meant.

“Do you know who this master is? Do you know why Mo family was destroyed?”

When Faan Tianxing heard Qin Mo’s words, his body trembled.

He seemed to have thought of something terrifying.

Faan Tianxing hastily looked at Loong Chen. Before this, he only felt Loong Chen looked familiar, but now, he had completely remembered him.

Loong Chen was the expert who had forcefully killed Mo Qitian!

He had actually offended Loong Chen!

Although the Faan family held significant influence, it paled in comparison to the might of the Mo family.

Loong Chen possessed the power to obliterate the Mo family, making the elimination of the Faan family a simple task.

Faan Tianxing finally grasped why Qin Mo had claimed it was to protect him.

Fann Wei’s life and his own position couldn’t be equated with the survival of an entire clan.

Realizing this, Faan Tianxing approached Fann Wei and struck his palm against Fann Wei’s forehead.

Fann Wei’s life was extinguished in an instant, his demise unforeseen.

Faan Tianxing hadn’t anticipated Faan Tianxing would come to end his life.

Ensuring Fann Wei didn’t suffer was the final act of kindness Faan Tianxing would grant him.

After concluding these actions, Faan Tianxing knelt before Loong Chen.

“Master, I’ve transgressed against you previously. You may end my life, but I implore you not to implicate my family.”

Faan Tianxing spoke, bowing repeatedly before Loong Chen.

He could accept his own death, even Fann Wei’s, but the Faan family must endure. To do otherwise would be a betrayal of their ancestors’ endeavors.

A smile appeared on Loong Chen’s face upon observing Faan Tianxing’s response.

Did these people view him as a malevolent entity capable of annihilating any family?

Did he truly appear that formidable?

“I stated my intention to kill Fann Wei alone. So long as you refrain from provoking me further, I won’t bring any more trouble to your family.”

Loong Chen gestured for Faan Tianxing to rise with a wave of his hand.

“Thank you, master.”

Faan Tianxing expressed his gratitude.

Revenge was an unthinkable notion for him now.

With the Mo family as a cautionary example, he could only let go of this grievance.
