Chapter 3905 Leaving The Perimeter Of The Heaven's Warriors
Chapter 3905 Leaving The Perimeter Of The Heaven's Warriors
Davis's time in this fake bandit hideout was short-lived. He didn't get the chance to mend the relationship with Saintess Lunaria as he was busy speaking with his friends about their future.
Within an hour, they left. However, they didn't use any kind of techniques but moved in absolute secrecy, carrying each other with soul force while Qiyra Darkstar's strange light kept them hidden.
"Chances are that the Celestial Transcendent already descended and is now looking for us, so we must absolutely not get caught. Otherwise, it would spell the end for us."
Laphria Rinmei placed a finger over her lips as she indicated that all of them should be silent. Despite the solemness in her voice, she was still cute.
One wouldn't take her seriously, thinking she was a little sister in the neighborhood, but the moment she mentioned the Celestial Transcendent, everyone more or less became tense.
"Who exactly is this Celestial Transcendent?" Saintess Lunaria asked, her tone curious.
"You didn't know and came to save me?" Davis looked at her with narrowed eyes.
He didn't peg Saintess Lunaria to be someone who didn't consider the pros and cons as she was also a ruler of a sect, a Divergent one at that. He felt that there was no way she wouldn't consider the dangers first before making a move, especially when considering her intellect was way above most of the people he came across.
"Well, I do know that he is powerful enough to wave my first disciple off like an annoyance, but I don't know such a person's story or why he is touted to be the Supreme One. Surely, he must be the most powerful figure of the human race or one of them. I'm interested in learning, and only through learning can we possibly find something that could be of use to us." Saintess Lunaria explained.
"For example, a place that even the Supreme One couldn't enter…"
Her words caused Davis to nod. He opened his mouth, "I don't know the places he couldn't enter, but I do know a place where everyone is treated equally."
"Oh, there is such a wonderful land?"
Jaiyan's attention seemed to be piqued as he turned to look back at Davis. It caused Davis to nod smilingly.
"Yes, where death comes equally."
"…"
That answer instantly caused some fists to rise in the air, which made Davis quickly continue.
"It is the same place where the Vacuous Beasts came from, and I should've also gone there to cross my tribulation originally, but through a fortuitous encounter, I was able to do it here and not get lost in the Primeval Universe Ruins. Who knew how long it would've taken for me to return? Would I still be alive by then? Heh."
Davis sneered. The number of options given for his survival was really crappy.
Although he had the Nether Dimension as an escape route thanks to Nyoran, it was difficult to say if it would amount to much as the Celestial Transcendent could also possibly enter it.
"So it's called Primeval Universe Ruins." Laphria Rinmei's eyes were wide.
The latter four disciples seemed to nod their heads as though they had heard it for the first time.
"Junior, you shouldn't name these things so lightly." Jaiyan shook his head, sighing lightly, "You've imparted some karmic burden to those who don't know not that we're going to suffer since we're already powerful, but people like her would have a tough time crossing their tribulation."
He shot a look at a black-robed woman, causing Davis to shake his head.
"It's fine. I'll take care of her."
Davis turned to look at his fortuitous encounter, Rokushi Mirai. Some part of him wondered if the World Master planned it or if she just hoped it would eventually get to him one day. Either way, he was grateful to both of them.
He was grateful to the World Master for preserving such a treasure and grateful to Rokushi Mirai for being present at that place regardless of her intentions. However, that gratefulness didn't amount to much since Rokushi Mirai was hostile to him in the beginning, which was understandable, but his actions had consequences, so right now, he only needed to fulfill his words to her, which was to give her compensation.
However, because she fulfilled her words to him without a single hint of complaint, he was willing to do more. He liked such people.
"You already added another woman to your harem?" Fenren raised his brows at him.
"What do you take me for? I have stopped."
"I won't believe a man saying he has stopped drinking the next morning after a hangover."
"…" Davis blinked.
"Fair enough. It is indeed difficult to stop as the temptations are endless, and my women also support me if I truly want someone, and they also see something common in that someone. Regardless, there should be limits to many things. Even becoming too powerful at the wrong time is enough to end your life."
Davis shuddered inwardly.
If he became too powerful in one go without relying on external strength, a Divine Punishment Tribulation would fall on him. Life was unfair.
"Like a speeding boat crashing into a mountain, indeed." Andiron nodded. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
The others also liked this simple analogy as they nodded.
Davis glanced at Saintess Lunaria's disciples, who nodded as though those words resonated with them much more than he thought.
'Come to think of it, they're still in the Empyrean Stage after a million years?'
Davis wondered what took them so long to advance.
Was it the lack of resources? He could understand their rate of improvement was low since they had to figure out their physiques and expand their comprehension of many laws by themselves, but to take more than a hundred thousand years was still too long to him, which left him thinking that it was the lack of resources and also they never revealed themselves to the public which meant they didn't go out more than necessary, keeping their notoriety to an absolute minimum.
Perhaps they went through using other names and may even have a fake public identity they created, which lasted more than a hundred thousand years, giving them more secret influence. Regardless, floating in the empty space, Davis finally asked.
"Where are we going, by the way?"
He wanted to go back to his family as soon as possible as he was still worried about them. There was no news from Fallen Heaven about its torn part being used, so he wasn't that worried, but he still couldn't help but be concerned.
"We're going to a Minor Realm nearby." Laphria Rinmei giggled.
"…?"
Davis blinked. What Minor Realm? The only Minor Realm here was the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Minor Realm. If there was another one, it would be-
Davis's brows squinted, feeling like it couldn't be the case.
'Wait… if one of Saintess Lunaria's disciples found the Minor Realm and hid it, then it would make sense that the Minor Realm Myria found never went public, but other than Laphria Rinmei, who else is strong enough to hide an entire Minor Realm, a giant floating land mass!?'
Davis shuddered inside, feeling his heart turn cold.
He was also looking forward to binding that realm core or at least trying to enhance his own insights over Life Laws and possibly other laws, but it seems like Saintess Lunaria got ahead.
In the case of realms, it wasn't exactly a finders-takers type of scenario, so if it went public, only the higher powers could decide who it would go to next.
Davis had heard that voting rights would go to the nearby rulers and the racial ruler of the person who found the realm to possess backing. Together, they decide if the person who found the realm will become a ruler through a tournament, which would eventually get the finder ousted, and they would have one of their own seat in the realm as the ruler.
Of course, to avert this disaster, the Upper Realms will step in and monitor it, but they also have their own agendas.
Together, they were like a cartel, deciding who to cede the Minor Realm to through a long process. It was never decided easily. A lot of blood would be shed in the undercurrents.
There were only a few rare cases where the person who found the realm managed to hold their position as the winner in a tournament. All such individuals had long gone to the Upper Realms to pursue their cultivation to far greater heights.
Nonetheless, Davis didn't probe too much as they were not exactly too close yet. Wherever they constructed their hideouts was their own business, and he couldn't ask where it was or what it was. He could only wait.
Eventually, Davis found out that he was wrong.
They arrived at a well-populated Minor Realm that was to the west of the Azure Tree Lower Realm. This also meant that they escaped from the perimeter of the Heaven's Warriors successfully!
