Chapter 3786 Hopping Ships
Chapter 3786 Hopping Ships
Evelynn looked at the hundred-meter-long and twenty-meter-wide battleship.
She had acquired this Mid-Level Immortal Emperor Grade Battleship from the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan using her pocket money just in case she needed to use it to travel. After all, she couldn't be sure if she would regain her inheritance from the Grand Beginnings Continent, so she bought a lot of items, constructs, and talismans from various places that would be beneficial for her.
Its defense was average, but its speed was as fast as a High-Level Immortal Emperor Grade Battleship.
As far as she could guess, the speed should be the same as the cargo ship.
The two of them boarded it and left, voyaging through space once again. They burned millions of High-Level Immortal Crystals.
Fortunately, they didn't seem to encounter any spatial storms. The path was relatively mild, occasionally erupting with a spatial blade that was like a ripple.
Halfway through their journey, they passed by a Realm Ship, a few unknown vessels that may belong to bandits.
In the vast expanse of space, it was difficult to spot anything. Even the detection formations wouldn't react to the vessels around them if there were too many spatial ripples, so much less needs to be said for spatial storms.
Regardless, they stopped at nothing.
They were getting closer and closer to the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm. When the fourth hour passed, Zenova Artoria narrowed her brows.
At this point, she guessed she needed to reconsider her options.
Fortunately, an unknown spaceship appeared in their sight.
"Slow down the ship. Act as though we're running out of fuel."
"…?"
Evelynn blinked, wondering why.
The unknown vessel in front of them could belong to space bandits. If they made contact, it would only bring trouble.
However, she didn't ask a question and followed her words.
She slowed the ship down and throttled the thrusters using the ship's core, making it look like there was some kind of malfunction or they were simply running out of fuel. The battleship floating in the distance abruptly shot towards them at full speed.
When they approached closed, almost brushing past them, they slowed down, and a strange device on the wing of the battleship abruptly started releasing some kind of waves.
Evelynn and Zenova Artoria stumbled as they felt the battleship shudder and come to a complete stop. It seems like their thrusters were obstructed from working properly, appearing like they were stuck in some kind of invisible spider web that disallowed them from propelling forward or in any direction for that matter.
Their battleship was pinned down.
They could hear the victorious screams of the space bandits as they tried to land on their ship and hack the armor away while trying to get in, although Zenova Artoria's expression couldn't be any more amused.
"Good, these bandits should have some sort of secretive landing point near the Three-Headed Hydra Border Town's port. Let's hijack these bastards' ship and return to land."
She took to the space through the hatch in the deck, appeared outside, and raised her hand.
Black lightning arced from her dantian, crackling over the tip of her fingers. She circulated the Firestorm World Ode and summoned Blazing Thunderlight Kirin's lightning. It danced across her fingers and flickered, creating layers of flashes that allowed the bandits to recognize that someone had appeared outside the battleship.
Their eyes flashed with greed when they saw her silhouette, but that flash only lasted for a second before their bodies were fried beyond comparison.
*Bang!*
The bandits, initially caught off-guard by the situation, lost over five men instantly. However, realizing that they were battling with a mere Level One Immortal Emperor, they didn't retreat.
"What a beauty! She's also a supreme genius if she's this powerful. Capture her! She would sell for a high price!"
A kilometer away, the space bandits' battleship floated. From there, a white-haired man with a lanky figure pointed at Zenova Artoria and laughed.
"Boss, please come help us! She's too powerful!"
Shouted one of the bandits who was about to receive a bolt of lightning.
The space around Zenova Artoria distorted as it shimmered with heat. The black lightning danced and flickered across her fingers as she moved with grace. When the tip of her finger reached the end, the black lightning beautifully curled before a brilliant and searing bolt of extinction lightning cut through the void of space and smashed against that bandit with pinpoint accuracy.
It blasted his face into a shower of blood while his entire body seemed to be fried like the others.
"Haha! How valiant…!"
The so-called boss laughed and jumped from his battleship, taking it to space before landing on their battleship. When his feet landed on the battleship, it sank almost forty-five degrees, indicating his superior power as a Level Seven Sovereign.
His prowess didn't seem to be ordinary.
"Young Miss, I don't know what family you are from, but obediently surrender. As long as your family pays ransom, nothing is going to happen to you."
"Is that so?" n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Zenova Artoria dropped her hands and walked towards the bandit leader. Her footsteps that landed across the metallic surface of the battleship resounded, making the bandit leader whistle.
"I admit you're valiant, but one must know when to- "
*Pow!~*
A resounding slap echoed across space as the bandit leader spun around and crashed into a protruding metal head in the center of the ship. His neck seemed to have spun thrice and tore as it hung beside him, his lips barely moving as he was yet to comprehend what the fuck happened.
How come he couldn't circulate his energy!?
On the space bandits' battleship, a purple-robed figure stood.
Two of her scythes jutting from her back seemed to have stabbed into a woman and another one a magical beast man. Around her, there were a few more bandits, but they seemed to have all turned into corpses, their eyes all having popped into a tiny blood fountain.
She was a silent killer, having taken care of things on this end before anyone could even realize it.
Upon killing the magical beast man, he seemed to have returned to his magical beast self and weighed on her spider bone, so she threw him away.
It seemed that he was some kind of space shark.
However, she didn't pay attention to them; instead, she stared at the bandit leader, who was almost a kilometer from her. However, her third eye, which shone blue, cast an even more deadly gaze that sealed his cultivation base.
Evelynn didn't know what Zenova Artoria learned from the bandit leader, but she blasted him into dust with her black lightning after soulscouring him.
"Take back your battleship. We'll leave shortly."
Zenova Artoria landed on the bandit's battleship and cleaned up the corpses. After making sure no one was left with her soul sense, she entered the battleship and made it to the deck to check a few things.
At this time, Evelynn also entered.
They roamed their newly acquired battleship before confirming there wasn't anything of concern before they resumed their journey. This whole time, they had been suppressing their cultivation base and battling so they could easily clear their remnant undulations and sweep any trace of aura left.
This was space.
As long as a few minutes passed, their aura would eventually recede, but if it was Empyrean Stage aura, it was obviously going to take longer as even the spatial layers would be inflicted with their remnant.
If one could compare spatial layers to a fabric or cloth and their aura as the scent of their skin, it would make sense that the intensity of the odor determines how long it would stick to the cloth until it is eventually washed away by water or in this case, sparsely distributed heaven and earth energy.
An hour later, they finally could see a huge landmass.
The more they closed in, the more it covered their vision, and it wasn't long before it covered their entire periphery. They found out that their altitude was low since the port was above. To their shock, the battleship actually began to ascend as though being pulled by some kind of power.
It didn't seem like the pull belonged to anyone, so they guessed it belonged to the realm.
It seemed one couldn't easily fall, ascend, or hover around the edge, just like Evelynn predicted. Zenova Artoria could also confirm this hypothesis through the man she soulscoured.
However, Zenova Artoria didn't approach the dock of the Three-Headed Hydra Border Town.
Instead, she used the core of the battleship to change directions and head elsewhere, making it to another point where these bandits used to come and go. It was another border town known as Space Desert Town, a place where various kinds of people gathered to buy stolen goods and sell them off in various settlements for a large profit.
Fortunately, they weren't blocked or pursued by any other patrolling battleship that guarded this area and managed to dock in the Space Desert Town, finally setting foot on the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm!
