Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3765 Natural Defense Mechanisms

Chapter 3765  Natural Defense Mechanisms

Clara, Yilla, Panqa, Lanqua, and Zanqua traveled on a golden battleship. It was over two hundred meters in length, rivaling the size of smaller Immortal Emperor Magical Beasts.

Its front was like a cone, perhaps a drill, as it appeared to have the ability to ram into something and utterly destroy it while piercing through it, but like the golden palace before, its metallic surface shimmered underneath the sunlight, creating a majestic outlook.

Its grandness rivaled that of most battleships that Yilla had seen in the First Haven World- no, it was even more durable as it seemed to be a Peak-Level Sovereign Grade Battleship. But considering that this was a power that existed for three million years, she wasn't surprised.

She had gone through the Wesley Family records and naturally knew of its history.

It had even produced three Empyreans in its lifetime, but it seemed like they were all gone to the Upper Realms, their fates unknown. It seems that even life jades wouldn't work when the jade and the soul are separated by an entire layer.

However, that was only true for Immortal Emperor Grade or Sovereign Grade Life Jades and below.

As long as one could obtain an Empyrean Grade or Autarch Grade Life Jade, then it was possible to sense if the soul was still alive in the second layer from the third layer. In other words, they were able to sense if the soul was still alive in the Upper Realms from the Lower Realms and Minor Realms. The vice versa was also true.

She was shocked to learn that Commander Dalun was a million years old, as there were records of him from a million years ago. Of course, at that point, he wasn't a Commander, but it made sense now as to why he practiced the Immortal Cultivation Method instead of the Transcendent Cultivation Method while the Town Lord appeared to have practiced the Transcendent Cultivation Method.

The Town Lord was a child compared to Commander Dalun since he was just around ten thousand years old but still stronger than him. Even then, Commander Dalun was a loyal individual as he seemed to have served hundreds of masters from the Wesley Family ever since he became the Commander half a million years ago.

Therefore, he was a trusted individual, enough to oversee everything in the Town Lord's absence.

He got them permission to pass through other towns and make it to their destination.

The Wesley Family's battleship was unimpeded, and they arrived… an hour later.

'How tiring… the distance between towns is crazy…'

Yilla inwardly scoffed.

Each town was a hundred million kilometers away, but that wasn't the problem as there were huge mountains soaring through the skies blocking their path, unlike the Great Desolate Plains, which were just flatlands. They could apparently travel to space in this battleship, but if they tried to enter space, the fuel consumption would be tremendous when leaving the realm's protective layer, which seemed to be some kind of natural forcefield.

It was true for the opposite.

However, the ones intruding into this region weren't affected unless a certain rule was imposed by the ruler of the realm who controlled the realm core, and this Eternal Twilight Lower Realm seemed to be imposed with such a rule, making it so descent would also cost an enormous amount of fuel as the forcefield reacts opposite to the direction they're traveling in.

Scholars theorize that this was the natural defense mechanism of realms to defend itself against invaders and to even keep its aboriginals from leaving so that it doesn't die out but mainly to retain the heaven and earth energy from leaving its area. Apparently, it was also theorized that realm cores could even form Wills of their own. However, no evidence of this has been seen despite realms reaching their ends in a burst of apocalyptic flames.

This was public knowledge, but it is unknown if anyone would reveal that their realm had gained sentience even if they were aware of that information. After all, their realm could be robbed from them by the higher powers as every Lower Realm was more or less backed by an Upper Realm.

Needless to say, the people worshiped such a fantasy, and there were many ceremonies to celebrate the existence of realms and the heavens.

Nonetheless, they arrived at their destination after going through so many zig-zag paths and finally alighted from the battleship.

This town's walls were smaller compared to Highnode Town, but the town itself appeared to be more prosperous due to its connection to many towns nearby. This made it a trade town where the streets were boisterous during the day and the nightlife quite interesting.

"Heavens…!" n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Someone exclaimed and ran towards them from the distance on the platform.

It was a purple-robed man with a rather untoward appearance, not because of his face but because of his body because he was fat like a ball.

Each step he took made his flesh ripple across his body.

Clara had to blink a few times as she had never seen a man this fat. She had seen some bloating stomachs, but not to this degree. The others also looked at him as though he was a travesty. However, they knew that this appearance could be a complication from flaws in a cultivation method or engaging in dubious cultivation sessions instead of eating too much, so they didn't say anything.

"You really are a Heaven's Warrior. Incredible!"

The purple-robed man said with an excited expression before he cupped his hands and bowed but seemed to struggle.

"Reporting to the Heaven's Warrior. I am the Town Lord of Revera Town, Maluk Revera. It is true that there was an inheritor spotted in this town, but they have escaped, probably hidden somewhere in the town, as there are no reports of someone exiting the gates since I have sealed the town and imposed a curfew until the inheritor is caught. The guards have all been informed of your arrival, so please use them to your heart's content."

"Mhm~"

Clara nodded, not saying much.

Inwardly, she was shocked that this incompetent-looking man would take care of such issues with immense speed. Besides, his undulations also told her that he was a Late Stage Sovereign.

Her opinion of him increased.

However, it seems like she would see more strange body appearances from now on as it is possible the cultivation methods here were still unrefined. On the other hand, the cultivation methods in the First Haven World were all close-knit and followed the immortal cultivation method, which had long rectified such issues, mostly leaving energy problems in terms of flaws.

"By the way, they are…"

Maluk Revera gestured at Yilla and the others, finding them a bit suspicious as a Heaven's Warrior usually wouldn't travel in groups, and even if they did, it would be with another Heaven's Warrior. However, it was obvious that they were not Heaven Warriors as they lacked heavenly aura.

"They are people with a vengeance against Divergents, willing to give up their lives."

Clara stiffly gave an answer.

"…"

Even Yilla and the others had to admit that it didn't sound good as it came out unnaturally, but their expressions were hidden behind their opaque veils, giving nothing to guess.
