Chapter 575 Returning to a Familiar Land

Chapter 575 Returning to a Familiar Land

Edited by Aelryinth

Zhang Che couldn’t help but feel a mix of emotions after returning to this familiar land.

Back then, he had to be careful of every step he took when he was trying to get out of the area. He didn’t dare to relax in the slightest, afraid of provoking powerful exotic beasts and becoming their food.

Now, during this several thousand kilometers journey, he flew straight through on the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon without having to care about any potential danger.

Although it had only been a few months, it was like he had experienced half a lifetime.

Perhaps it was due to the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon’s extremely powerful aura. Although Zhang Che was flying very flashily to his destination, no exotic beasts came to disturb him. Some decently powerful exotic beasts he had encountered on the way all chose to flee far away, afraid of becoming Hanming’s prey.

Although those exotic beasts weren’t weak, none of them were at legend-quality or higher.

Zhang Che couldn’t be bothered to chase after them, either, allowing those aboriginal inhabitants to live a little longer.

\"I have really swelled up. Back then, I would go chasing after gold-quality exotic beasts with my eyes shining, not letting a single one go. Now, I can’t even get excited about so many dark gold-quality exotic beasts. Tsk, tsk...\"

A faint smile showed on Zhang Che’s face as he watched the powerful exotic beasts flee, one after another. He shook his head, ultimately deciding not to bother with them.

Time slowly passed as the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon flew on...

---

Finally, a few hours later, Zhang Che arrived at the outskirts of the area where countless powerful dinosaur exotic beasts inhabited.

\"Stop here. Heavens know how powerful the exotic beasts that appear will be if we go any further. We can’t act so arrogantly.\" Zhang Che patted the back of the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon’s neck, signalling him to land on a peak.

Hanming groaned unwillingly, obviously disagreeing with his master acting so cautiously.

Having advanced to eight-star epic-quality, the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon was of the opinion that no one would be a match for him unless they came across a divine-quality and above exotic beast.

Sensing Hanming’s thoughts, Zhang Che couldn’t help but slap the dragon’s head and scolded in a joking manner, \"Enough. An army of ants can bite an elephant to death. Even if there aren’t any overly powerful exotic beasts here, the number of legend and epic-quality exotic beasts shouldn’t be low. It’ll be very dangerous if we strut into the area so openly and end up being surrounded.\"

-Ai, looks like I’m not the only one that has swelled. Even my pets are the same way. This isn’t good. It’s very easy to get into trouble being complacent. I have to educate them better.-

\"Come, we’ll enter stealthily. Don’t drop the ball on me!\"

Zhang Che waved his hand, signalling the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon to hide his aura. They snuck their way into the area ahead where countless dinosaur exotic beasts dwelled, flying very close to the ground inside the forest.

------

At that moment, a few hundred kilometers to the west in the beast world southwest of San Diego, a large group of beastmasters were silently circling around a mountain top. None of them made any sound.

General Mihill’s large figure stood above a huge golden lizard’s back, looking to the far west with a grave expression.

Several beastmasters with powerful auras were at his side. They were silent as well, similarly looking west.

After a long time, General Mihill retracted his gaze unwillingly and sighed, \"Damn, that Hua Xia brat is really looking to die. He actually went deep into the west forbidden land. It’s best he dies there; it’ll save us much trouble and not offend those Hua Xia officials unnecessarily.\"

However, Mihill was very unwilling to give up just like that.

He grit his teeth and cursed for a while before turning back and sweeping his gaze across the men nearby, instructing, \"Leave some men behind and monitor the surroundings. Once they discover that Hua Xia brat is returning, inform us right away. If he is lucky enough to not die in the western forbidden lands, then we’ll turn this place into his grave!\"

\"Yes, General!\" the beastmasters responded. Afterwards, they spread into the surroundings on their own, ready to monitor all paths back to the safety zone in secret.

At the same time, the huge golden lizard under Mihill moved without stirring a wind, rising smoothly into the sky.

This subdued beast of his actually possessed strength no weaker than epic-quality. It had no wings, yet it was able to take flight!

The huge battle it was anticipating never came in the end. The golden lizard opened its mouth and roared in disappointment. Although its voice wasn’t loud, it spread more than ten kilometers.

For a period of time, the nearby mountain forest fell into silence. Anywhere the golden lizard’s roar reached, all the creatures shut their mouths and didn’t dare to make any noise.

Mihill rode his subdued beast quickly back in the direction of the safety zone. The expert beastmasters he had brought here followed behind, returning together.

Since Zhang Che had gone deep into the western forbidden lands, they had missed their chance to kill him. There was no need to waste their time waiting.

They were all high-tier beastmasters. Why would they waste their time here?

------

Unbeknownst to Zhang Che, him hurrying to his destination had helped him avoid the ambush specifically targeting him.

He was currently flying on the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon’s back, silently advancing into the forbidden area. They didn’t make any noise, and tried their best to conceal their auras.

Although he didn’t think there were necessarily any exotic beasts that could easily threaten him in the area ahead, there were plenty of powerful creatures around. It was better to act more cautiously. He wouldn’t have anyone to cry to if they messed up!

As they slowly advanced deeper into the area, various roars, loud and soft, near and far, entered his ears.

It went without saying that those were noises of those exotic dinosaur beasts fighting or hunting for food.

The dinosaur species really loved being rowdy. They weren’t like other powerful exotic beasts, that usually wouldn’t cause too great of a commotion.

\"If it wasn’t like this, I wouldn’t have left this area so easily...\"

This was naturally good for Zhang Che. If it wasn’t for the stronger exotic beasts here calling out loudly back when he was trying to leave, he might have unknowingly walked into their territories as free food delivery.

Even now, Zhang Che could rely on the noises those exotic beasts created to easily determine their strength, helping him find his targets.

Despite concealing their auras and trying their best not to make any noise, the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon wasn’t slow when traveling through the forests. His nimble body left a string of afterimages, moving not any slower than cars driving at full speed

His body was over twenty meters long, and about half a meter wide. Moving a body like his nimbly wasn’t something ordinary exotic beasts could do.

-Soon! We’ll enter that wide area with lots of dinosaurs in a few more minutes!-

Zhang Che leaned forward slightly, laying down on Hanming’s back. His squinted eyes shone with a resplendent light.

Suddenly, the heavens and earth darkened. All light instantly disappeared.

The Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon couldn’t dodge in time and crashed into the thick forest, producing a wave of crashing noises. Heavens knew how many trees were knocked down.

\"Damn it, I forgot to keep track of the time!\" Zhang Che cursed softly. He hurriedly ordered the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon to quickly leave this forest.

It was already night time in the beast world!

There was no transition between day and night. Either it was bright, or it’d suddenly enter an endless darkness, not giving people any time to react.

Zhang Che didn’t keep track of the time carefully as he made his way here. Otherwise, he would have found a suitable place to rest for the night long ago. He wouldn’t have advanced into the dinosaurs’ territory recklessly.

The Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon had night vision. However, he wasn’t able to adapt in time when the sky suddenly switched from day to night, resulting in them crashing into the forest.

Soon, Hanming recovered his nimbleness and quickly turned back in the direction they came from, as per Zhang Che’s order.

With the arrival of nighttime, heavens knew how dangerous it would be in here! Zhang Che didn’t dare continue exploring deeper, only hoping he could find a safe place to spend the night. Everything else would have to wait until it was bright tomorrow.

While they were leaving, Zhang Che heard wave after wave of roars from the forest behind. Loud commotions came from all directions, all gathering at the location where the Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon had crashed into the trees earlier.

Heavens knew how many powerful exotic beasts they had alarmed!

\"How unlucky...\" Zhang Che grumbled as he cast a glance back at the darkness. The Darkfiend Abyssal Dragon flew away nimbly, quickly disappearing from this forest...
