DEVIANT

Chapter 82

82 Chapter 82: Disagreement

Wilder said nothing more. He just stood up and states walking towards the door with a facial expression void of all forms of emotions. Meanwhile, Alex gazed at his back calmly while tapping the desk next to him with his fingertips. He seemed to have something in mind but he didn’t know how to say it.

“Why is the Culture here? A team f seven elite S-rated guardians is not something anyone can ignore!” Alex asked calmly and only then did wilder stop.

He turned and shot Alex a meaningful gaze for a while before finally deciding to speak.

“There is something else out there... Something far beyond our comprehension... Something that needs the world to unite and fight against if they ever hope to survive... It’s not just the Culture of Nigeria... The other super powers of the world have even gathered... Including the God sect!” Wilder said those words with furrowed eyebrows.

Hearing this, Alex was consumed by fear and shock. He gazed at Wilder as if he has just seen a ghost. The Hall family were are known for birthing powerful deviants and that’s why they even qualify to be amongst the United States’ big four. The God sect of the Hall family is comprised of what people believe are the four most talented members of the Hall family’s newest generation but in reality, there was a real God sect that existed before those four.

Chinese pride and joy known as the God sect can be considered one of the most powerful groups in the world, rumored to be even stronger than culture even though they have only four members. Each member of the group is a deviant with the power of a specialist. Their strength far surpasses the S ratings, reaching the level of the SS ratings, that is why it is believed China can compete with the united states in this new chaotic world.

Many are even forced to believe that if a war breaks out between the two, China’s god sect may end up wiping out the United States’ big four! The thought of that sent chills down the spine of everyone who watched. They were all shocked and terrified but what was more annoying was the fact that they were just as cocky as they are strong. Many complained about this but Alex didn’t think too much about it.

In his opinion, as long as they have the strength to back it up, there are no issues. The strong can do whatever they want.

“Focus your attention on the Tyrant gang... Don’t get distracted or try to look into this... It’s ar beyond your level...”Wilder added coldly.

.....

“Then why did you send me to the academy? I was growing fine back home, far faster than I am right now... I need to know why I was sent out, why I was used as a scapegoat for your little experiments and what I’m supposed to do here” Alex said coldly.”

“It’s none of your business... I made a decision and chose you... You have no say in this matter” Wilde said coldly before holding the door only to see, Silver, Tracy, and Jason terribly shocked for a while as their gaze that of the mighty old figure.

Wilder didn’t care about these people, he was about to leave but then a suffocating feeling washed over him, leaving him stunned. His body shivered involuntarily as he felt like he was been watched closely by a predator.

He quickly turned around to find the source of this feeling but all he saw was Alex smiling at him strangely.

<> Wilder muttered in his head while looking at Alex.

He found it hard to believe someone as young as Alex would possess such a terrifying presence.

“You think you can do as please? Do you think I am just another pawn on your chessboard? Hehehe... No one can decide my fate... Not even you so watch your back” Alex said coldly and finally stopped paying attention to the man.

Wilder simply nodded before walking out calmly. He really didn’t put Alex’s words to heart since he didn’t see any possible means where a D-rated human can but him. Until Alex reaches the S ratings, there is no need for him to take him seriously.

..............

“Are you okay?” Tracy finally ran into the room after Wilder Briggs left. She couldn’t help but check Alex all round to make sure he didn’t sustain any more wounds outside what he did in his fight with the unstoppable spear.

“Damn! Your old man is like the fucking terminator!” Jason commented with beads of sweat on his forehead.

He had read about Wilder Briggs online and he knew the old man was a terrifying person but seeing him in person was even more terrifying! It felt like social media underwhelmed his oppressing effect on people. The man felt like a demon wearing human skin.

“Why was he here?” Silver asked with a cold look on his face.

“What do you expect? We gathered enough attention... I’m sure Bruce will get in touch with you soon so you will get the whole gist from him... Also, I’m done with this thing... I’m leaving today... I believe it’s best we stop cooperating here” Alex replied nonchalantly and walked into the bathroom.

Not bothering to look any of them in the face.

“What the hell is his problem?” Silver asked with a frown on his face.

“When you were little you kept playing tricks on your friends and everyone except Alex left you because of that... I thought you would have grown old enough to know the difference between loved ones and outsiders but I guess I was wrong... You still treat everyone the same... Alex on the other hand, plays mind games but only uses it on his enemies... You, you just see everyone as a piece of one big board game... You are no different from our grandparents and I won’t blame Alex if he chooses not to work with you anymore” Tracy said disdainfully before leaving.

Jason also sighed and followed her out. He had a rough understanding of what happened and even though he didn’t like Alex, he couldn’t deny the fact that Alex was a far better person than Silver. He knew the difference between friends and enemies, meanwhile Silver saw everyone the same way. He only acts based on his interest!

The only reason he joined was that Alex acted as a shield, protecting them from Silver. He always stepped in if things went too far but now Alex is leaving, he had no reason to stay either.

They all left the room, leaving Silver there all alone. He just sat on the bed in silence and waited while thinking. He still couldn’t find anything wrong with what he does. His method may go against the will and intentions of his teammates but then he gets the job done and this is the only method that will lead them to the top without any issues so he couldn’t understand why everyone would see him as the bad guy.

Alex stepped out of the bathroom a few minutes later with a white towel wrapped around his waist. His eyes hovered around but they never stopped at Silver. He entered the changing room and put on some clothes before packing everything else. He picked up his bags and walked towards the door, only then did Silver speak up.

“You seem to have forgotten our goal! You are losing focus!” Silver said with a frown.

“You are the one who forgot our goals... We wanted to create a new family that will act differently from the big four... We hated our fate getting decided by others... Only for you to walk in and do the same... You are no different from the rest... I refuse to work with another Tyrant” Alex said with so much disdain it could be heard in his tone.

He wanted to leave but the three white triangular-shaped items shot past him and formed a shield to block the exit. This is the shield that was used to stop the unstoppable spear, there was no way Alex can break through it.

“You can only leave when I say so!” Silver said coldly.

“And who the hell are you to make such claims... In such an enclosed space, fighting a member of the Briggs is no different from asking for death... Or do you think your little toys can save you from me?” Alex dropped his bags and stared at him coldly.

“Why don’t we find out!” Silver roared as the blue lightsaber appeared in his hand and he lunged forward.

If he couldn’t have Alex work for him, he will cripple him here and now. As the brightest star of the Ainsworth family, even Bruce won’t stand by and let Wilder harm him.

His blade raced forward, twisting and turning like a serpent but Alex remained calm and watch with narrowed eyebrows. The look on his face was that of disdain and hatred! It looked like he was contemplating whether to kill Silver or not!
