Chapter 60

60 Chapter 60: The real Silver

Silver walked through the halls of the Hunters detention Facility(HDF), created to detain hunters who go against the laws. This place was built to house the craziest hunters who have done the most despicable things and those who are suspected to have gone crazy from spending too much time away from civilization. The place was an undergoing detention facility that hid these men from the life at the surface. Silver was guided by some guardians who work as guards here and he wondered if the government is just dumb or plain stupid. How will you seclude crazy people from the outside world and expect them to recover? He knew the government has given up on these people and he felt bad about it.

“To lose powerful hunters like this is truly a shame but there is nothing that can be done about it” A guardian could tell what was going on in Silver’s mind responded.

Silver on his own part simply nodded and kept walking. Soon they reached a massive white room with comfortable sofas, a king size bed, a flat-screen TV, and many more things. Jason lay on the sofa while watching a dance video. He looked bored and when he saw Silver walk inside his face twitched but he tried to control his facial expressions.

“You are the one that put me here to be monitored because you fear my mental condition is not stable... Now you are here, let me guess your friend is not waking up and you need my healing powers... ” Jason said with an unusual grin on his face.

Silver did not respond, he simply gestured for the guards to leave before he sat down and pulled out a strange looking smartphone.

Those in the security room watched and suddenly the monitor in Jason’s room turned off when Silver pulled out the device.

“He cut us off... Should we send people to retrieve the device?” A guard said with a confused look on his face. It was obvious Silver did not want his conversation with Jason to be leaked.

“If you want to do that and get on the bad side of the Ainsworth family then be my guest but I will not be a part of it! If he wants a private meeting, we are gonna let him have one... It’s what we call Big four privilege!” A massive man in military attire said coldly.

Even though it’s improper for this to happen especially when it can alter the testimony given in court, he knew how this country works. The Ainsworth is of more value to them than him and everyone in this room combined. Should they barge in there and try to disrupt things, they will be the ones punished for doing their job!

.....

Meanwhile,

“You sit here calmly like you own the place... You have cut off the cameras, what makes you think I won’t kill you?” Jason asked coldly while gazing at Silver who was seated right beside him.

Silver ignored his words and picked up the remote, going through channels while his brains worked. The fact that Jason is kept in a comfy place like this is not because the government is fair but because they want him in their ranks. A deviant with strong healing abilities like his cannot be found just anywhere, so this is them buttering up to him.

<> Silver sighed before he finally dropped the remote and turned his attention to Jason.

“I sat here confidently because, unlike Alex, if you come at me now, your headless corpse will be dragged out of this room” Silver said coldly with a voice filled with confidence.

“Ha! Tough words for a man who ran at the sight of the enemy and abandoned his allies...” Jason sneered but Silver didn’t look fazed.

“Alex is my Knight... He is the powerhouse of the group meant to intimidate my foes... But that doesn’t make me weak... I am the strongest and most talented Ainsworth in the history of the family for a reason... I choose to hide my strength and show it only when necessary” Silver said coldly.

“Should a fight break out between me and Alex... The Alex who killed the evolving demon bat will die at my hands in less than two minutes” Silver added and for some reason, Jason couldn’t help but believe him.

After staying in the wild for so long he developed keen senses. While Alex gave off the vibe of a powerful but cunning being who only plotted against others when necessary but will always pick strength of smarts, Silver gave him the vibes of two different beasts at once. A spider and a snake! And right now, he felt like he was trapped and just a moment away from getting swallowed.

“And no, Alex is not dying... He just fought Wilder Briggs to protect us... But yes, you and your healing powers are needed!” Silver said calmly making Jason frown.

He may have been away from civilization for a while but after coming back, he began researching on people to be afraid of. He actually searched that on the internet and the first person he saw was Wilder Briggs, head of the Briggs family and an Ss rated being! He read up about the Big four and realized how powerful Silver and Alex are even though they are still teenagers.

“The kid really fought that monster? Damn! I have to say he has balls... I know he got knocked out instantly by his old man” Jason said.

“Nope, Wilder didn’t fight back... Alex got hurt by punching the man twice... ” Silver sighed bitterly.

Hearing this Jason froze and his face turned pale. He still couldn’t get the image of Alex battling the mutant bat and back then he thought Alex was extremely powerful. The thought of someone that powerful, getting hurt by attacking someone else sounded too crazy and farfetched but based on the expression on Silver’s face he could tell he wasn’t joking.
