Chapter 11
C11 – This Is so Troublesome!
The First Prince’s arrival was like a stone thrown into the water, bringing about a huge wave before calming down soon after. The county magistrate court returned to its previous tranquil state after the third fragment of the night.
After the fourth night watch, most of the people had fallen into a deep sleep. A human figure climbed out of the side wall of the side yard and quickly walked towards the main yard.
As he neared the main courtyard, he saw the man take out a dusty bag from his bosom, take out two pieces of paper, and place them on his body. Then, he openly entered the courtyard through the main entrance.
Although Yin Xu did not have a body of cultivation, he knew a lot of unorthodox techniques. A low level talisman like the Invisibility Talisman was something that practically every cultivator would know.
He came to the outside of Huo Yiloong’s room. Seeing that there were two guards standing guard at the entrance, he found the rear window and quietly went in through it.
The room was completely dark, and only one person’s scent could be heard. Yin Xu touched the bedside, and revealed a smile that said he was determined to win.
He took out a small porcelain bottle and placed it under Huo Yiloong’s nose, letting him smell it for a while. Only after hearing his breathing become even longer, did he finally take back the bottle.
Logically speaking, the best way to set up the array was using Spirit Stones, but who knew if Spirit Stones existed in this world. In any case, Yin Xu had never seen or heard of it, so he could only use Jadestone as a substitute.
Furthermore, laying down such a simple array would consume all the jade the Huo Family Villa had stored up. Fortunately, it was more than enough to deal with these commoners, otherwise, these currently destitute and panicking Demon Lord would really not be willing to waste it.
After the array was set up, Yin Xu returned to the bedside and extended his Demon Claw towards the person on the bed!
He first took out a dagger from under Huo Yiloong’s pillow, using his finger to feel it, then put it back with regret.
Compared to his previous high-grade magical equipment, mortal weapons were far too backward and crude. When he had the resources, he would definitely refine his own weapon.
Putting away the dagger, Yin Xu touched Huo Yiloong’s body, and took out a black bag from the undergarment.
“If he’s even sleeping close to us, it must be something good!” Yin Xu opened his bag and fished around. First he found three thousand taels of silver notes and then a high-quality jade pendant.
Yin Xu felt that this jade pendant looked familiar, and then he remembered that he also had a jade pendant that was about the same as this one. It was just that on Huo Yiloong’s jade pendant there was a vivid dragon carved, and on his jade pendant was an empty one.
However, that jade pendant had already become a part of his soundproofing array and would turn into powder in two hours.
Yin Xu put away the silver notes, and the jade pendant back into his bag. This kind of thing was useless to him, it would be better to just keep it for himself.
Actually, he did not have much of a concept towards silver, but County Magistrate Chen had only given him a hundred liang today, and the butler was all smiles, thinking that three thousand liang should be enough to make him happy for a whole year.
Yin Xu searched Huo Yiloong’s body from head to toe and did not even let go of his underwear, but unfortunately he did not find what he was looking for.
However, this was not strange. It was impossible for anyone to bring a family heirloom cultivation technique out of the house. It would be too much of a recruitment for thieves.
If it was the past, he could immediately search Huo Yiloong’s soul, but now that his cultivation was gone, how could he pry open Huo Yiloong’s head?
The punishment would definitely not be possible, if everyone found out that Huo Yiloong was injured, then things would definitely get out of hand.
Demon Lord’s experience of the past thousand years had taught him that before a person lacked strength, it was best for them to act in a low-key manner.
The sound-insulating array could only be maintained for two hours. Yin Xu listed all the various soul search methods that he knew and finally selected the most feasible one.
He searched the room and found a box of embroidery needles used by an unknown concubine. He muttered to himself, “I’ll just use it.”
He helped Huo Yiloong to sit up and lie down on his undergarments. Then he used his fingertips to prick nine acupuncture needles into nine of his acupoints accurately and then flicked his forehead.
“Open your eyes!” he ordered in a low voice.
Huo Yiloong opened his eyes and stared blankly at Yin Xu.
“Who am I?” Yin Xu went up to him and asked.
“Seventh brother, Huo Tian, trash!” Huo Yiloong’s answer was really short and refined.
The corner of Yin Xu’s mouth hooked up, not surprisingly at all as he received such an answer.
“What is the secret technique passed down in the Huo Family?”
“Flame Yang Spell.”
“What’s the content?”
“I can’t say.”
“Hmm?” Yin Xu opened his eyes in shock. Seeing his pupils contract, he did not seem to have a clear mind.
As Yin Xu held onto the last needle, his eyes narrowed as he asked in a dangerous tone, “What is the content of the Flame Yang Spell?”
“…” Huo Yiloong’s expression became twisted, his lips moved, he chanted an incantation, but suddenly stopped in the middle of reciting and struggled: “You cannot say it!”
“I can’t see that this stinking brat’s willpower is not bad. Originally, I didn’t want to use the last move, but who told you not to appreciate my kindness!” As Yin Xu spoke, he inserted the needle into the top of his head, and Huo Yiloong groaned. The lifeless look in his eyes became even more hollow.
His entire body was trembling slightly, and his forehead was gradually covered in sweat. His face was completely red.
Yin Xu stared into his eyes, and ordered with a solemn tone: “Tell me, what is the content of the Flame Yang Spell?”
This time, Huo Yiloong did not disappoint his, and recited the contents of the Flame Yang Spell word by word. After saying the last word, Huo Yiloong’s face suddenly flushed red, as if he had a fever.
Yin Xu chanted the incantation once in his heart, and then he slowly pulled out the needle on Huo Yiloong’s body and pushed him onto the bed.
After dressing him, covering him with a blanket, and wiping off the sweat on his forehead, Yin Xu muttered to himself after everything was cleaned up: “Truly troublesome!”
In the past, he could kill as many people as he wanted and rob as he wanted. However, now that he had become a trash, he had to wait upon others to dress. How could he not feel aggrieved?
“Using my golden hands to exchange for your cultivation is worth it.” Yin Xu said narcissistically as he placed his palm on the bed to wipe it clean.
From tonight onwards, it would be difficult for Huo Yiloong’s cultivation to advance any further.
After finishing all of these tasks, Yin Xu put away the shiny jade stones in the room and quietly left along the way. Everything was quiet once again, leaving behind the almost invisible needles on Huo Yiloong’s body.
