Chapter 249 – Evolution is upon us

A huge vortex formed around Aiko as her body slowly changed. This effect was still concealed by the Arrays that the Ghosts created, but it would be impossible to conceal it forever.

The ever-hungry Aiko who would gobble up everything in her path during evolution was even more hungry as this Bloodline was not from the Mortal World. The requirements to evolve safely were astronomical.

The Qi Gathering Arrays could not collect enough Qi without compromising the ambient Qi stability.

The First thing to go were the weapons enhanced with Qi that were littered in Arrays to provide more Qi. They crumbled to dust as Aiko squeezed everything from them.

The next thing to go was the Water Shard. It was sucked dry by Aiko, which allowed her to obtain yet another Elemental Affinity. This time it was Water Affinity.

The next step was the Qi Gathering Arrays that were created from Ghost Qi. Aiko's body munched on them like they were candies, which collapsed all of them.

This boosted her Soul's Affection by a bit.

Yet, Aiko was still very hungry. The whole place was so drained from ambient Qi that even the Ghosts shivered at that consumption.

The weakest Storage Ring crumbled and was consumed by Aiko.

The second Storage Ring crumbled, and 100,000 Spirit Stones went into Aiko's stomach.
