Chapter 151 – Yummy? And Aiko’s Terror!
Chapter 151 – Yummy? And Aiko’s Terror!
They stared at each other, neither of them wanted to yield to the other.
"We should start the extraction while the Emperor is still playing nice." Aiko suddenly said.
The Inscription Saint sighed, but didn't stop her. It was important that they extract it now when they had time, so they could leave without needing to clean the mess that it would become if they stayed too long.
The Blood Fox came to the sleeping princess, she was still weighing whether she should accidentally kill her or not.
She sighed, leaving it to fate, if she survives the procedure then she survives, if she doesn't survive then it’s too bad for her...
The Blood Fox placed her hand on top of her chest. It was an incredibly soft chest and she could somewhat understand why the prince was so infatuated with her.
She was focusing on the flow of blood, trying to find the thing that injured Aiko.
The heartbeat was very smart and it was avoiding her, but there was only so much room to hide from her. Once she scanned the whole body, she was able to find that thing quite easily.
The secondary heartbeat was powerful, but not omnipotent, it couldn't do much without blood. So the Blood Fox had done her best to isolate it in the princess’s right hand. She would then just slash the hand open and extract it by force.
She had no remorse if it left scars or anything of that sort. The Blood Fox didn't like others much, but she wouldn't go out of her way to harm others.
The heartbeat was pushed into the hand in 9 hours. The hand had very little blood, but still enough that it would survive, albeit barely.
"It's almost ready, you should prepare a container for it." The Blood Fox said softly.
The Chen Boy immediately pulled a precious container, but Aiko was near the Blood Fox and pulled her own vial, which already had some of that liquid.
"You have that treasure on you?!" The Inscription Saint was shocked.
Aiko ignored his outburst and waited for the Blood Fox to finish her work.
"I will slice her middle finger so try to catch it." The Blood Fox said slowly. She felt exhausted from trying to battle something that was alive and quite powerful
That would not be the case if she had unlocked her Divine Sense, unfortunately, the Demonic Foxes were prohibited from unlocking it until they were completely stable when it came to their emotions.
The Blood Fox slashed the finger. A golden, yet clear blood flowed out of it. Aiko was ready to catch it, but that golden, yet clear liquid had other ideas as it stuck to the finger.
"Oh you bastard, drip down already!" Aiko cursed it again and again. The clear liquid quivered.
"Oh you shitty saliva, I will feed you to-"
*Gulp*
*Cough*
Aiko choked badly and the room went silent. Especially Chen boy, as he didn't expect that kind of outcome.
The clear liquid didn't want to enter the vial so badly that it would rather get swallowed by Aiko.
[Your body has been nourished by [Primordial Chaos Dew]!]
[The nourishment was postponed to not harm the User.]
At first, Aiko felt discomfort in her body, like something trying to rip and twist her organs, but that feeling quickly vanished.
Aiko huffed weakly. Her throat was sore and she had a hard time talking.
"Are you alright?" The Umbra Fox came close to her, hand in hand with the tired Blood Fox.
Aiko nodded slowly, it hurt to talk, so she would just explain herself with gestures.
Meanwhile, the Chen boy was left speechless. He didn't expect that the Dew Essence would just jump from one host to another! This was distressing and concerning, since he wanted to use this Dew to nourish Lady Liu's body, but it doesn't seem to be feasible...
'It jumped into the body with the greatest Vital Energy...' He narrowed his eyes. In other words, it would be impossible to give it to Lady Liu... 'Unless this little rascal willingly surrenders it.' He narrowed his eyes towards the Blood Fox and Umbra Fox, but quickly discarded that idea.
Lady Liu would stop talking to him if he hurt these girls in any way. He would have to find another way to deal with this.
He shook his head at his foolishness and stared into the horizon. The extraction was successful. They could leave after they finished with the Emperor, but...
'What are Cultivators doing here?' The Chen Boy was puzzled.
"Greeting Inscription Saint," They bowed and cupped their fists with respect. "And goodbye." They immediately attacked.
He was slightly flustered. He was an Inscription Saint, a being that would never be slighted, but now a few old fossils in a Nascent Soul attacked him out of nowhere?!
...
The Emperor sat down with his son. "Is what you are trying to say true?"
"Yes, I feel more powerful from having sex with her." His son used crude words, but the Emperor was convinced.
His son was not a Cultivator, yet he was able to bend the sword with his bare hands. This was surreal for the ageing Emperor. He wished for Immortality, but had no talent in Cultivation.
The Emperor was looking for ways to attain Immortality, these days he even contacted the Fiendish Cul-Sects. He had great respect for those Sects, as they allowed him to learn a few secrets about Immortality.
Needless to say, he was now a Fiendish Cultivator, but he still needed a way to strengthen his body before he could start consuming Vital Energy by itself, and this was the perfect opportunity.
"Call the Cultivators and seize her." The Emperor ordered, he could feel the Immortality at the tips of his fingertips.
"Father, we should also capture the little one." He chuckled perversely.
"Why?" The Emperor tilted his head, he would rather not mess with the Inscription Saint people.
"Because she has the same smell as that princess! And it's even more potent!" He licked his lips.
"Is that the truth?" The Emperor narrowed his eyes. At this point, he was slightly tempted to capture them.
"Yes, father." The prince nodded obediently.
The Emperor frowned, but if he could get more powerful and reach Immortality.
"Contact the Ancestor!" He shouted loudly. "Capture all of them and we will brainwash them slowly!" He laughed like a maniac. If he could own the Inscription Saint, his Empire could develop to a size comparable to the mainland!
...
The Inscription Saint drew a simple Rune into the air.
That Rune shone softly, but the attacking Cultivators felt the breath of death.
They tried to avoid it, but it still hit half of their body, obliterating them.
There were even more Nascent Soul Cultivators and even a few Soul Formation Cultivators.
He frowned, but another voice stopped him in track.
"Inscription Saint, let's take it outside." It was the ancestor speaking.
"Will you be alright?" He asked the group.
"No problem." Aiko gave the okay and smiled sinisterly.
The Inscription Saint left with the ancestor, since it would be difficult to protect the little Fox's team, while at the same time holding back enough that he wouldn't flatten the Capital. Lady Liu liked this place, so he needed to at least try to avoid that fate.
...
Aiko smiled at them from ear to ear. All of them transformed into Foxes, since they were shackled by the pseudo-human body.
The Fiendish Cultivators smiled perversely at them, they already had ideas about them, but the fight came first.
*Swish*
*Bang*
A head was immediately injured by Aiko. She didn't want to use the Spirit Stones, since she intended to run away right after and she didn't want to leave those Spirit Stones behind.
The Fiendish Cultivators went after the Blood Fox, since she was the most treasured one.
They were careful about capturing her, but that allowed the Umbra Fox to sneak around and behead a few of them with her claws.
Meanwhile, Aiko was sprinting between their legs. A moment before, she took a spear and cut it into smaller pieces.
Those pieces were now used as pseudo-flags.
"ARGH!"
"Catc-RGH!"
Aiko was weaving between their legs using the short sticks as nice penetrators.
The Fiendish Cultivators screamed in pain or delight, but all of them were in a similar situation.
Temporarily stunned.
While the duo initially shivered at Aiko's ruthlessness, they recovered much quicker and started killing the Cultivators one after another.
It turned into such a chore that they even returned to their pseudo-human forms since they were now more used to them.
This allowed them to not only kill them, but also loot them. They would not leave anything precious behind and would strip them bare of their treasures.
There weren't many treasures, but they still had a couple of hundred Spirit Stones.
Meanwhile, Aiko ran out of the short stick made out of the spear and glanced at nearby ornamented swords.
The Fiendish Cultivators followed her gaze and shivered in dread.
Aiko smiled from ear to ear in her Fox form, but for the Fiendish Cultivators, it felt like a Demon was smiling at them.
"Retreat!" They called a retreat. They did want to manipulate the Emperor and harvest many, many Souls from the Human Empire, but not at the cost of their lives.
Those bastards were selfish Cultivators who didn't want to risk their lives unless necessary.
Aiko snatched the first sword and dashed towards the closest Cultivator.
*Slide*
A painful and bone-chilling scream spread throughout the entire Capital.
It had to be said that all mortals had their cheeks subconsciously clenched.
The Fiendish Cultivators abandoned all reason and ran away at the top speed.
That scream even alerted the Inscription Saint and ancestor.
They looked over only to see dead bodies with sticks and swords sticking out of their butts.
The ancestor gazed at the Inscription Saint, who was looking away, like they were not part of his group.
"... Interesting taste, Inscription Saint." The ancestor murmured.
"That's not my taste!" He yelled at him.
"It's nothing to be ashamed of, I on the other hand like lizards." He proudly said. "Their scaly yet smooth bodies are perfect for good-"
The Inscription Saint was completely red in the face, he didn't want to hear about old fossils' taste and immediately drew multiple Runes to annihilate him.
He was so upset that he didn't gauge the power correctly and flattened part of the Capital.
The Runes sang powerful tunes as they created a vortex out of Qi. The ambient Qi dropped sharply and part of the city was flattened due to the turmoil.
The ancestor barely blocked it, but he used a Talisman right after to teleport himself somewhere safe, otherwise he would've died right there.
The Inscription Saint snorted coldly, but let him escape. He didn't care about them, he was worried about Lady Liu and if she was still in his study.
He also cared about the little Fox's team, since it would be problematic if rumours spread that his team liked to target... Ahem.
He moved next to the group. "Everything alright?" He asked them, even if he didn't want to.
"Everything alright." Aiko smiled in her Fox form, she still had trouble speaking.
The others also nodded, they only had superficial wounds thanks to Aiko's terror.
"We will move back to the Inscription Palace and leave the Capital as soon as possible." He said.
"No punishment for the prince and Emperor?" Aiko asked.
"You..." He massaged his temples. "No."
"Awww..." Aiko's ears lay flat on top of her head.
The Inscription Saint rolled his eyes, taking them away...
