Chapter 143 – Peacefulness was restored
Chapter 143 – Peacefulness was restored
Aiko slept well throughout the night... or at least that's what she hoped for.
A very noisy a customer had visited the quiet Inn and was causing trouble outside.
The sounds were muffled and they couldn't tell what he was screaming about, but it was still pretty bad on Aiko's ears.
She stood up with a blank expression. The duo looked slightly worried since they couldn't feel Aiko's presence at all.
Aiko walked to the door and left the room, her team hurriedly followed her.
...
"What do you mean that the Heavenly Suite is already taken?! Do you know who I am?!" The Youth was screaming at the Elderly man.
The Elderly man sighed silently, it was tough to live in this city with bastards like these in charge.
"I'm-" As he was about to brag about his lineage the Elderly man spotted a small girl with black clothes approach.
Her expression was dark and unsettling, yet he couldn't feel her presence at all.
She easily bypassed all the guards, like she was never there to begin with.
That little girl from the Heavenly Suite slammed her fist into his balls, making him twist in pain and stop what he was saying.
Aiko easily picked him up and threw him with all her might before the guards could do anything.
*Swish**BOOM*
The body flew through the air without stopping, leaving the Inn and breaking the stalls outside until stopping in the middle of the building across the road.
The youth's guards were startled by what just happened. They pulled their weapons at Aiko, but they suddenly lost all their strength and collapsed on the ground.
"I will leave them to you." The Umbra Fox smiled gently, yet sinisterly.
The Blood Fox smiled in a kind manner and picked one guard after another throwing them in similar fashion outside.
The Elderly man recovered a few breaths later, and wiped his sweat
Aiko walked away emotionlessly and went back into her room.
...
Aiko yawned, but couldn't find her favourite tails.
She was completely ignorant of the fact that her team had helped her to dispose of the bodies.
Aiko was looking around trying to find her tailbed when the doors opened.
Her team came back to the room and Aiko moved like a ghost and wrapped around Blood Fox's tail.
The Blood Fox almost yelped from being startled. She was wearing the Recognition Inhibition Bracelet, so her tails were hidden, yet Aiko could accurately find them.
It felt like she had some kind of taildar that would allow her to locate any and all nice tails...
Aiko rubbed on those tails and fell asleep promptly.
The Blood Fox sighed, while the Umbra Fox giggled.
"Mistress is quite the handful." The Umbra Fox sighed, but she was still smiling.
"Tell me about it, when we entered the Village she would always haunt my tail..." The Blood Fox shook her head and moved to the bed since Aiko was no longer as light as she was before.
"It's still amazing since we even have these bracelets." The Umbra Fox fiddled with her bracelet.
The Blood Fox didn't say anything, like she was already used to Aiko's abnormality.
...
Aiko woke up somewhat rested. She was still wrapped around those tails, unmoving. She sighed slowly, she felt like she had forgotten something...
Aiko got up and washed her face since a lot of fur would be stuck to her from the Blood Fox.
After cleaning up she picked up the menu, looking through it.
The Blood Fox looked towards Aiko. She was wearing a long loose shirt for sleep. That shirt was baggy, but for some reason it hugged her body well, revealing her curves and tempting anyone present.
"I wish I had such a nice body..." The Umbra Fox murmured. She had pyjamas on her. She was much more slender than the Blood Fox, but she still had significant curves.
The Umbra Fox pouted unhappily when she saw the Blood Fox smirking.
"Do you want something?" Aiko asked, staring at them oddly. They reminded her slightly of the battles between Mei and Blood Fox, just less destructive.
"Does it have anything interesting?" The Blood Fox asked looking at Aiko.
"Not really, but I would like to taste some of them." Aiko shook her head, but her stomach still rumbled.
Her team chuckled and Aiko slightly blushed. "I can't help it, my appetite is returning..." Aiko mumbled in her defence.
Her team laughed and the Blood Fox lazily came close to Aiko, hugging her from the side and leaning on her.
She studied the menu slowly while the Umbra Fox blushed like a teen girl.
'H-h-how obscene!' She was looking at the duo, Aiko still had her black clothes on since she didn't want to risk embarrassing herself, but the Blood Fox had that loose long shirt on her. That shirt slowly slipped from her shoulders, revealing part of her ample bosom.
The Umbra Fox screamed in her mind until Aiko turned towards her.
"What do you want to eat?" Aiko asked after seeing the strange, yet blushing Fox.
"I will look through it." The Umbra Fox stabilized her mind and took the menu from Aiko. She browsed it, but nothing really attracted her attention.
"I'm good." She said slowly.
"We will have to hunt later, you know that right?" Aiko narrowed her eyes.
"I will take it upon myself, Mistress." She elegantly bowed.
Aiko rolled her eyes. She liked her attitude, but not that way of addressing her, yet she could do nothing about it since Umbra Fox had insisted and insisted until Aiko eventually caved in.
The Umbra Fox smiled innocently at Aiko.
...
"Here is your food, dear guests." The Elderly man brought them their food without mentioning any additional payment. He was impressed that they dared to do that to the Mayor's son, yet they also still lived through the night.
They were a force to be reckoned with and he would not dare to instigate them with his pettiness lest he wants to end up like that young master.
Aiko smelled the food, it was subpar compared to Mei's cooking, but much better compared to the stall foods.
Aiko gave him a gold coin as a tip and munched on the food.
The Blood Fox munched nearby. She was enjoying her food happily and slowly, since it's been quite a long time since she last ate human food.
The Umbra Fox watched over them, leaving periodically.
At this, the Blood Fox frowned at this, but didn't say anything to Aiko.
Aiko would cause a much bigger mess if she knew that the Mayor was sending assassins after them.
...
Aiko finished her food and felt much more energised than before, so she stood up and stretched.
The Blood Fox copied Aiko's movement, but...
*Bounce Bounce*
Aiko's face darkened as those formidable peaks had minds of their own and that pissed off Aiko.
She really, really wanted to slap them, but restrained herself with some difficulty. The Blood Fox was part of her team, she couldn't act on her impulses since they would be spending a lot of time together-
*Bounce**Slap*
"Ah..." Aiko was startled and so was the Blood Fox.
Aiko blushed a deep red as her inner devil acted on her impulse.
Meanwhile, the Blood Fox was laughing loudly at the little tomato. She hugged Aiko and soothed her. 'How cute.' The Blood Fox thought.
She was much happier about this reaction, since the usual reaction was someone trying to grope them. This difference pleased her greatly.
Aiko sighed unhappily, she was being suffocated by them, but her shame would not allow her to slap them away.
...
The Blood Fox was dressing up. Every single move from her was alluring and tempting...
Tempting Aiko to slap those annoying jiggly milkbags.
Aiko snorted coldly and left the room.
The Blood Fox laughed and got dressed, before meeting up with her.
Aiko nodded happily as those annoying jugs were restrained by the assassin's uniform.
...
"Leaving already?" The Elderly man smiled with slight sadness as this lucrative business opportunity was coming to an end.
"Yeah, this is not our final destination." Aiko nodded. They would return here later, but for now, they had to continue on their journey.
They left the Inn, meeting up with the Umbra Fox.
"Are we leaving?" She asked.
Aiko nodded gently and led the way, they were almost at their destination.
...
A month passed without anything major happening. It felt strange that it was so peaceful... so very strange.
Aiko looked around, but could not spot anything out of the ordinary outside of the fact that it was too quiet.
They could not feel any Beasts, no matter how far they stretched out their senses.
"We are in front of the capital, so maybe...?" The Umbra Fox said gently, but she didn't believe what she had said for a second.
The team frowned, but they still entered the main gate.
...
"Master, are we going to follow them?" One of the team members of the Mirage Fox asked.
"Their mission is pretty simple, but let us make their journey much easier, that way they will lower their guards. We can then seek them out and I will charm the Vicious Cub. I have no desire for the others, I only seek the Jade Fox." He said slowly.
When the Jade Fox was visiting the Shadows Peak to rattle the brain of the Libra Fox, he had the honour to gaze at her body and from that point onwards, he had held the desire to possess it.
'It's said the Jade Fox is obsessed with the Vicious Cub, so if I charm her, that would mean that I have the key to her mind and body as well.' He smiled from ear to ear and his team members shivered.
...
"Master..." One team member asked after slaughtering the surrounding Beasts.
"What is it?" The Mirage Fox frowned. It was so difficult to keep up with them. 'The Elder said that they would be muddleheaded for a few weeks, but they recovered way too quickly! Especially that Demonic Fox!' He didn't believe for a moment that the Demonic Fox would be able to clear the residual smell off her so quickly.
"They angered the Mayor..." The team member whined, that the whole team was a walking disaster that attracted endless troubles and he was forced to clean it since his Master ordered it.
A vein popped up on the Mirage Fox's forehead. He was really upset that they were so high maintenance. He would have to seek to join them as soon as possible so that he could start the charming process.
...
"Master..." One team member approached his Master cautiously.
"WHAT IS IT THIS TIME?!" He yelled from his irritation.
"T-they have left the city and are heading towards the capital." He was shaking like a leaf in the wind.
"FUCK!" He cursed. He was still cleaning up the disaster with the Mayor from this shitty town, yet those rascals left without saying anything?! The Mirage Fox was so incredibly upset that his hand joints popped.
"How is the cleaning process? Who is tailing them?" He asked in a grave voice.
"The Thunder Disaster Fox is tailing them. The clean up is almost done, too." He replied respectfully, he no longer felt any desire towards the team as they were just too much trouble for their worth...
More veins popped on his forehead. "Finish it today, we are pursuing them!" He ordered his team and swiftly cleaned up the rest of the Human Cultivator assassins.
