"That was fast." Yuan smiled when Bai Lianhua returned to the room much faster than he'd anticipated.

"Well… everyone's eager to move…" Bai Lianhua replied with a bashful smile.

"Then it's settled. You guys can make the move whenever. I'll speak with the Lord once I return."

Bai Lianhua nodded, "Okay. Thank you for giving us this opportunity."

Yuan left with Yu Rou a few hours later.

As Yuan and Yu Rou made their trip back to the Dragon Spiral Mountain, government officials were already there to speak with the Lord.

However, before they could even reach the Lord, they had to deal with the manager first. Even as government officials, they couldn't enter the Dragon Spiral Mountain without her approval.

"What is your reason for visiting?" Liya asked them with a nonchalant look on her face.

"We have some urgent matter that requires the Lord's attention. This world's balance is in jeopardy, and we believe the Lord is the only individual who can deal with it."

Despite hearing this information, Liya remained uninterested and said, "I will need more information than that, or are you implying that I don't qualify enough to hear it?"

The government officials exchanged glances with each other before giving a nod.

One spoke a second later, "We believe a certain individual has too much power and could be a potential time bomb strong enough to destroy this world if not controlled. He's currently wandering the world unrestricted as we speak, and we'd like the Lord to do something about it."

"Who is this individual?" Liya narrowed her eyes.

"He used to go by Yu Tian, but he's known as Yuan right now, and he's a resident at the Dragon Spiral Mountain." Liya raised an eyebrow upon hearing this familiar name.

After realizing the situation, Liya couldn't help but crack a chuckle.

The government officials raised their eyebrows at Liya's reaction. Although they had met and spoken with her plenty of times, they had only seen her poker face, so it was an incredibly weird feeling to see her laugh, even if it was just slightly.

"Ahem." Liya cleared her throat and spoke, acting like nothing had happened, "You need the Lord to control this Yuan individual, correct? I'll lead you to the Lord right now."

"Already?" The government officials couldn't believe how fast they gained entrance. Typically, they would have to wait for Liya to contact the Lord before getting a response.

"Don't tell me the Lord is already aware of the danger Yuan proposes to the world?" One of them speculated as they passed the gates, entering the Dragon Spiral Mountain.

"Maybe that's why she laughed at us—because they are already working on it."

Sometime later, these government officials reached the peak of the mountain.

"Wait here for a bit," Liya said to them before disappearing for a few minutes.

While they waited, Liya went to notify the Lord of their visit.

"Government officials? What do they want?"

"That's a surprise." Liya smiled.

The Lord found Liya's behavior to be unusual and immediately became suspicious. However, he didn't question her any further and said, "Bring them to me."

"Of course."

Liya left to bring the visitors to him.

A few moments later, the government officials stood before the Lord's cave with their heads lowered so much their chin was kissing their chest.

"What are you all waiting for? This is an urgent matter, right? Go ahead and tell him what you told me." Liya spoke up when none of the government officials dared to speak without permission.

The officials felt something was off about Liya—almost like she was entertaining herself with their situation.

"W-we greet the Lord of the Dragon Spiral Mountain. Today, we have an urgent matter to discuss." Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"There is a particular individual we believe requires your attention. This individual possesses unfathomable power that threatens not only the balance of this world but also the world itself. He hasn't done anything requiring immediate action, but we believe it's only a matter of time, and at the speed he's growing, we should move as soon as possible before he becomes truly uncontrollable."

"This individual is a resident at the Dragon Spiral Mountain. He used to be called Yu Tian but is now widely known as Yuan, and we need you to put a collar on him..."

The moment Yuan's name was uttered, the atmosphere in the Dragon Spiral Mountain changed, and a dreadful pressure appeared at the peak of the mountain, forcing all of the government officials to kneel on the ground.

"I refuse." The Lord uttered in a cold voice a moment later without explaining any further.

Despite their pain, the officials tried to change his mind.

"Please! You're the only existence in this world who can control a monster like him!" "The world needs your help, Lord!"

"Why are you refusing to help us?! At least give us an explanation!"

"I will not repeat myself, nor do I owe you any explanation. Now get the hell out of my face before I lose my temper again!" The Lord roared, blowing them away with the force of his voice. "But—"

"The Lord has spoken. Unless you want to leave this mountain as a corpse, I suggest you leave now." Liya stepped forward and interrupted.

The government officials gritted their teeth in frustration and began descending the mountain. Due to the pain in their body, they had to support each other as they slowly limped away.

"Why didn't you try to stop them or convince them that Yuan isn't dangerous?" Liya asked the Lord after the officials left.

"You think they'd listen to me? Humans are foolish and cowardly creatures, especially when their power and control are threatened." The Lord sighed. "Anyway, this was bound to happen sooner or later. Let's wait and see how he'll deal with this."

Liya silently acknowledged.
