Chapter 1580 A Display of Overwhelming Prowess(2)
"Queen! What should we do?! We're completely powerless right now and are no different than sitting ducks waiting to be slaughtered!" One of the Fiery Garden of Hell members suddenly cried out loud.
Fiery Queen didn't immediately respond. She surveyed her surroundings with a dazed look, taking in the devastated scene. Over eighty percent of her forces had been defeated in less than a minute, but they still had 100,000 players remaining. If Yuan had exhausted all of his energy, they still had a good chance of defeating him.
"There's no need to despair! We may have lost a lot of players, but we are still 100,000-strong! Player Yuan's definitely exhausted his Qi this time! This is our chance to defeat him once and for all!" Fiery Queen shouted.
She pointed in Yuan's direction with a whip in hand and continued, "Advance!"
The players quickly scrambled to their feet and started running toward Yuan's castle for the third time with their eyes peeled open for incoming attacks.
"He's stopped attacking! I think he's really out of energy! We need to hurry and reach him before he recovers!"
"Move! Move your asses! We cannot allow him to recover even slightly!"
The Fiery Garden of Hell began advancing like madmen, almost as though they were racing each other to see who reached Yuan first. Even if they don't have the capability to defeat Yuan, they could still hope to delay his recovery.
However, unbeknownst to them, Yuan still had plenty of spiritual energy. In fact, he'd been holding back the majority of his strength this entire time.
If he'd used his full strength—or even half of it, the players wouldn't have survived it, even with the formation's protection. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
Seeing how desperately the Fiery Garden of Hell was trying to reach him, Yuan sat on the ground before completely lying down, looking like he was going to take a nap.
"What in god's name?! Player Yuan appears to be taking a nap in the middle of the war! Did he run out of energy after using so many powerful techniques at once?!" Yan Xiaoxiao exclaimed.
"He really loves to show off, doesn't he?" Wang Ming chuckled at this scene.
"He's just bullying them at this point." Shi Lang shook his head with a slight smile.
The arena was so massive that it took the fastest player in Fiery Garden of Hell nearly twenty minutes of straight sprinting to finally reach Yuan.
"That bastard's asleep?!" The player almost couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Yuan casually resting on his back, seemingly without a care in the world.
The player immediately thought about launching a sneak attack, but he quickly became doubtful whether Yuan was actually asleep or not.
'What was I thinking? Unless he knocked himself out after exhausting himself, there's no way he would actually be asleep. This is obviously a trap!'
However, even if it was a trap, the player couldn't stand there and do nothing while Yuan continued to recover his energy. He had to do something.
The next moment, after taking a few deep breaths, the player made his move. Using his movement technique, he closed their distance almost instantly.
With a dagger in his grasp, the player aimed for the badge hanging by Yuan's waist.
However, when the player reached Yuan, he saw that Yuan's eyes were suddenly opened, and they were staring right into his eyes.
The player felt an incredible chill throughout his entire body, almost like he was suddenly swimming naked in ice water. Unfortunately, it was already too late to stop, and the adrenaline in his blood made him move even faster.
"Die for me, you monster!" The player roared as his dagger inched closer to Yuan's life badge.
Right as the dagger was millimeters away from touching Yuan's badge, the player suddenly found himself unable to move even the slightest, almost as if he was frozen in time.
Before the player could even react, Yuan casually smacked him in the face, sending him flying across the arena until he hit another player several minutes away.
"Where the hell did you come from?!" The player struck by the one who got hit cried out loud.
However, the player couldn't respond, as he was knocked unconscious. Eventually, Fiery Queen and the rest of the players reached Yuan, who was no longer napping on the ground but hovering in the air instead.
"What took you so long? I fell asleep waiting for you." Yuan said as his gaze stared at Fiery Queen.
"Shut up!" Fiery Queen bellowed with an enraged expression.
"Keep acting arrogant, but we all know that you've already exhausted your energy!"
"Oh, really? What gave it away?" Yuan smiled.
"Unless you have unlimited Qi, there's no way you're not exhausted by now!" "But I had plenty of time to rest."
"Hah! Who are you trying to fool? You wouldn't be able to recover completely even if we gave you an entire day!" Yuan laughed, "Fiery Queen, you don't learn, do you? How many times do I have to teach you this lesson?"
"W-what lesson?" Fiery Queen frowned.
"That you'd never be able to defeat me!"
Yuan activated God of War's Astral Art again.
The golden giant returned and even looked bigger than before.
Fiery Queen and the other players' faces immediately darkened, and their hearts all dropped at the same time.
"Fiery Queen, let this be my last warning to you. If I have to deal with you again, it won't be so peaceful."
Yuan proceeded to bombard Fiery Queen and the remaining players with a barrage of attacks. Each time the golden giant swung its sword, the entire island would shake, and a new fissure would open up in the ground. After destroying almost the entire arena, Yuan deactivated the technique and descended before Fiery Queen, who he'd purposefully left alone.
Fiery Queen stared at him with a dumbfounded face. She opened her mouth, but no words came out.
In the end, Yuan destroyed her badge without uttering another word.
