Chapter 29: Returning to the Flying Sword Sect
Chapter 29: Returning to the Flying Sword Sect
The rest of the journey back to the Flying Sword Sect went without any problems and soon, Xuan Hao made it all the way back to his mountain peak.
Back at the mountain peak, Qing Yi had spent most of the day before training and spent the rest of the time hanging out with Zeng Shihan, whom she had met earlier at the dining hall of the Flying Sword Sect.
She already knew that her master had gone out to get the herb needed to awaken her divine physique and was really grateful towards what he did for her.
Wanting to repay her master, Qing Yi decided to train extra hard and not disappoint the trust that her master put in her. Qing Yi trained with her full focus on the sword in her hands. Not even noticing Xuan Hao as he appeared at the entrance of the training count.
Seeing the hard-working Qing Yi, Xuan Hao backed off and decided not to interrupt her for now. Reaching such a focused state was hard and would be beneficial for her.
From what he remembered, such a state of mind was called sudden enlightenment or something. A cultivator does indeed have an increased brain capacity compared to normal humans and the stronger they got, the harder it would become to focus on one single thing at a time.
Xuan Hao guessed the reason for the name sudden enlightenment was because the cultivators were not used to focus on solely one thing. The constant divine sense spreading out from a Nascent Soul cultivator, even when restrained, would still feed an enormous amount of information constantly to the mind of the cultivator.
Reaching a state of constant focus, or constant enlightenment would surely bring a qualitative change for any cultivator.
Xuan Hao himself had tried to focus his mind as well while cultivating, but all he could do was get a few minutes of enlightenment. Even just that was able to help him improve rapidly compared to his normal cultivation, cultivating 5 minutes under the enlightened state was comparable to over a week of normal cultivation time!
At least for now, the dream of constant enlightenment was far off…
"Oh yeah, the servant sent by the servant quarters have not arrived yet. Maybe she will arrive later today or tomorrow?"
Having spread his divine sense around his pavilion, Xuan Hao noticed that there was still only him and Qing Yi at the pavilion for now.
"Maybe I should go and take a look at the servant quarters and see how they are doing? Sitting around cultivating all day is quite boring and I just got back as well. Going for a small walk would be a nice change of pace after the fight earlier." Thinking to himself, Xuan Hao decided to go pay the servant quarters a visit and see if the servant was picked yet.
From what he knew, a competition would always happen at the servant quarters whenever one of the core elders, the Vice Sect Master or the Sect Master asked for a servant.
Apparently, it was a prestigious thing to serve as one of the Nascent Soul experts' servants. Shocker…
Xuan Hao did not wait for long and immediately took off, walking slowly towards the servant quarters. Making sure to enjoy the view of the many mountains along the way, even if most of the mountains were artificially created by Nascent Soul cultivators, it was still a beautiful sight to behold.
The thing that Xuan Hao liked the most about the Ewaria continent was the cultivator's dedication to make things breathtakingly beautiful. Even if they did not realize so themselves.
From the beautiful plum trees to the humble willow trees, everything fit perfectly together with the majestic pavilions of the elders and humble dwellings of the disciples. Everything looked straight out of a painting.
Meanwhile at the servant quarters.
Zhi Ruo had just won the competition and was being escorted by manager Hou to the registration building.
Inside the registration building Manager Hou took out a relatively small book and wrote something down before placing it back at a small shelf.
"Okay, with the registration done, all you need to do is pack the things you have left and move to the peak of Core Elder Xuan. He should know that a servant is coming, so there is no need to be nervous." Seeing Zhi Ruo getting more and more nervous as he started talking, manager Hou slowed down and assured Zhi Ruo that there was nothing to be worried about.
"Ah, by the way manager Hou, do you know anything about elder Xuan's disciple?" Zhi Ruo was rather curious about the disciple of Xuan Hao that she was going to be serving and couldn't help asking.
"Hmm… I honestly don't know much about her but from what I could gather elder Xuan picked her at the recent entrance examination." Thinking about it for a while, manager Hou answered with a slight shake of his head. Not really knowing that much about elder Xuan's new disciple.
"I see…"
"Well, no need to worry, I'm sure that elder Xuan's disciple is a splendid person individual to be chosen by him personally!"
Manager Hou chatted a bit with Zhi Ruo as both of them talked together about Xuan Hao and what she should remember to do and how to behave accordingly.
All in all, Zhi Ruo left the registration building a little later than she had expected, and the sun was already high up in the sky by the time she packed her things and exited the servant quarters. Heading towards the mountain peak that Xuan Hao's pavilion was located on.
Xuan Hao on the other hand had already arrived at the servant quarters and saw Zhi Ruo exiting the servant quarters.
Ignoring her, Xuan Hao walked into the registration building to see if the servant quarters had chosen a servant for Qing Yi yet and quickly discovered that one had apparently already been sent.
"Ah, it should be the girl from earlier…" Remembering Zhi Ruo who had exited the servant quarters a little while ago, Xuan Hao decided to make his way back to his pavilion and greet the servant sent over by the servant quarters.
"Qing Yi should have finished her training and should be resting at the pavilion at the moment, should I let the two of them meet before introducing myself?" Thinking about it, Xuan Hao decided to take a longer path back to his pavilion and instead allow for the two girls to chat with each other without him being there.
It would probably be easier for the new servant girl to talk with Qing Yi a girl around the same age compared to him, a Core Elder of the Flying Sword Sect at the Nascent Soul Realm…
