Chapter 1312 Ancient Ruins
Chapter 1312 Ancient Ruins
A week before Xuan Hao was thrown out of the tower of secrets, Mui was still escaping from the large group of demon beasts that had now been chasing after her for a rather long time. Making her start considering using one of her master's talismans to scare them off.
Roar!
ROooar!
This only became more pressing as the Domain Lord Realm demon beasts chasing after her slowly began closing the already short distance between them.
Having experienced the domain of her senior brother and sister, she understood that it would be difficult for her to amount much of a resistance if she ended up getting caught in one of the Domain Lord Realm demon beast's domains.
Not to mention escaping at that point in time, she feared that she wouldn't even be able to properly use the talismans that her master had left for her!
"Is that a ruin? Master did mention that this place once had a powerful sect controlling it..." However, before she had the chance to throw out one of the talismans, she noticed a massive complex of ruins appearing in the distance. "Ah!? My divine sense is getting blocked by them!" Not just that, but she also realized that the ruins seemed to be blocking her divine sense. Making it impossible for her to investigate it without personally going down into the ruins.
"Hm? Maybe… Maybe I can use those ruins to hide? After all, if my divine sense is blocked, so should the demon beasts and their domain as well!" Realizing that she might be able to use this to her advantage, Mui didn't seem to know about the obvious difference between a domain and divine sense, as she wasted no time diving down from above and into the ruins below. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Roar?
Roar…
Roar!
Seeing this, the group of demon beasts following her were first confused, then surprised and finally overjoyed, as they finally seemed to see a chance to catch Mui. None of them displayed the slightest bit of care or consideration towards the strange ruins below.
For all these demon beasts knew, it was just a random set of ruins, something they had grown up seeing all the time inside the mystic realm.
From their personal experience, there was nothing to be afraid of inside of these ruins outside of those in the deeper parts of the mystic realm.
And although the one in front of them was a bit strange when it came to blocking divine sense, it was nothing unusual for the ruins found in the mystic realm to have these kinds of strange traits that were otherwise completely harmless.
If anything, the weirdest thing about the situation was the fact that none of these demon beasts had ever seen this massive complex of ruins before, something they should have noticed given its location in the outer part of the mystic realm.
Roar!
Rooaaar!
However, none of the demon beasts cared about this as they all dived down towards Mui filled with greed, all of them wanting nothing more than to devour the strange metal ball that looked like a giant spirit stone of unparalleled purity in their eyes.
Swish~
For this reason, none of the demon beasts noticed a faint barrier forming around the massive complex of ruins the moment they made their way inside. Instead, they remained focused on trying to find Mui, as the stronger demon beasts also discovered that they couldn't use the power of their domains inside the massive complex of ruins.
Because of this, Mui had successfully managed to hide away after entering the ruins. Finding a small corner to hide away inside of as she waited for the demon beasts to grow tired and leave.
Rumble~!
However, before Mui or the demon beasts had a chance to do anything, the entire complex filed with ruins began trembling ever so slightly, as the barrier surrounding the place became fully visible to Mui and the demon beasts-
RUMBLE-!
Roar…?
Roar?!
"Wha-!?
And before either of them could do anything, they found that the sea of trees outside the barrier surrounding the complex of ruins had suddenly disappeared, being replaced by even more ruins that stretched as far as Mui could see.
Obviously, she and the demon beasts had been teleported somewhere by some kind of ancient formation that had been beneath the ruins… And the place where they all ended up inside of was an even larger ruin.
Possibly an ancient city that had once belonged to the ancient sect that ruled over the mystic realm they were inside of in the ancient past.
But more importantly than that…
ROOOOOAR-!
The demon beast they heard roaring in the distance following their arrival was clearly stronger than the Domain Lord Realm!
…
Back to the present and in front of the tower of secrets.
Given that Xuan Hao had decided to go see Mui and how she was doing on her own, he didn't waste any time, as he directly made his way out of the exchange hall space where the tower of secrets was located before starting to make his way in the direction of the border region of the mystic realm where he had originally left Mui when he went to the deeper parts of the mystic realm by himself.
"Hm? She… Isn't here…?"
However, as he arrived above the forest, he had left her in to hunt demon beasts on her own, he was surprised to discover that she was nowhere to be seen.
Together with the fact that all the demon beasts in the Nascent Soul Realm had already been killed, it didn't take long for him to realize that she had already left the forest and gone deeper inside the mystic realm.
Although this was a bit worrying considering the large number of Domain Lord Realm demon beasts that could be found just a tiny bit deeper inside the mystic realm, though, she might have used some of the talismans he left for her, Xuan Hao didn't worry too much about her.
The main reason for this being that the mark he had left on her as a last line of defense hadn't been triggered so far. Meaning that she hadn't encountered a life-threatening situation she couldn't deal with.
Outside of that, there was also the fact that he could easily track her down by simply focusing on the mark he had left behind on her. Making it rather simple for him to find out where she was as long as he focused some of his attention towards trying to find her.
Of course, it wasn't entirely fool proof, as he didn't doubt there would be some kind of crazy sealing formations inside the mystic realm constructed by the Mirage Sect that could fully isolate Mui from the outside world and prevent him from tracking her down.
However, if that really did end up happening, he would still be able to notice the connection between himself and the mark disappearing, something that hadn't happened.
With that in mind, Xuan Hao closed his eyes for a brief moment as he sensed the direction and general location of the mark-
"Huh? Wha-what is she doing there- No… More importantly, how did she even get there!?"
However, when he did that, he realized that her current location was somewhere deep inside the mystic realm. Far deeper than he himself had ever ventured inside the mystic realm.
Given the speed of Mui, this should have been impossible, as the deepest part of the mystic realm Xuan Hao had gone so far was the fourth celestial trial, a place that would at least take him a few days to reach from his current location at the edge of the mystic realm.
For Mui to have gone even deeper inside the mystic realm than that in such a short period of time, she would need the speed of someone at the Later Stages of the Dao Seed Realm, something Xuan Hao doubted she would be able to archive even with the help of her strange creations.
Making him guess that she had accidentally wandered into some kind of teleportation formation connected to somewhere deeper inside the mystic realm.
"Haaa… This is turning out far more troublesome than I expected it to…" Muttering this to himself as he stared off in the direction, he could feel his soul mark in, Xuan Hao didn't waste any time as his divine sense rapidly began expanding in all directions around him.
Considering that Mui should have walked through a teleportation formation of some kind to suddenly end up so deep inside the mystic realm, Xuan Hao intended to use his divine sense to find the location of the teleportation formation and reach the deeper part of the mystic realm that Mui now found herself inside of as quickly as possible.
After all, if he wanted to reach such a far-off location without the help of a teleportation formation, it would still end up taking him at least a week, a time that he couldn't help Mui in case she ended up in a dangerous situation…
