Chapter 365 365 - Different Zombie
Slowly their car came to a stop in front of an abandoned building. The ceiling had sunken in and the walls were all covered with mutated vines.
Yue frowned deeply. before arriving here, he had copied tians but he was unsure if that can even work. they had limited weapons and limited manpower.
While traveling with his family they usually had unlimited weapons thanks to their mum's ability. but right now, they did not have such an advantage... "are you sure about this." they have to deal with the plant which had an unknown ability. if things got worse, they might end up a plant's food.
"It's okay. I have dealt with this before," Murong Shao only picked up a few guns and shoved them in his pants.
Yue fully prepared himself for battle, taking his sword and a few machine guns.
"Soon guns will be useless against zombies... try using your abilities to your max. the more you use it, the faster you can improve." Shao gently patted the top of his head. "it's really nice to have a brother."
Yue smiled softly. "That's how I felt when I met tian."
"How did you meet her, by the way? I was searching for her for so long…" he said, getting down from the car.
Yue followed suit tightly gripping his sword. "It was a coincidence. I just met her by accident… she was infected that day…. and thought I was going to kill her." He grimaced thinking about the past.
"Oh, that's so nice. Fate let you guys meet,"
They approached the vines. Soon as they were close to it the plant attacked them ferociously. Each vine of the plant was strong as steel. Yue's blades could not cut through it.
He instantly used his fire to attack it. but it was of no use.
"don't use fire! You're agitating it," Murong came running after he dealt with a nearby zombie. He simply just waved his hands. Slowly an elongated metal rod snaked from somewhere and in a second it formed a huge box around the vines.
The mutant plant banged loudly on the walls but it seemed to be unable to get out.
"This won't last long. Let's go in," Murong Shao said casually wiping his hand.
Yue looked at him in shock. Usually, plants like this would take him a few minutes to take out but this guy simply trapped it in a box in seconds. It was amazing.
'He was so powerful in his past life. Even In this life, this man is strong!….. maybe he is just smart that way,'
Seeing his blinking face Murong Shao softly chuckled. "You're cute. oh, and that level six in there might be very powerful when I tell you I need you to retreat immediately."
Yue frowned and shook his head. "I have dealt with level six before. I can take care of it."
"No, you haven't seen territorial beasts like these. They hunt very fiercely. I just want an assurance that you will leave when I tell you to before getting in there,"
"This is not a discussion. I'm going,"
Murong Shao frowned slightly, peering down at him.
"don't give me that look. I'm not a child!" Yue glared up at him. "And I can protect myself. I don't need someone watching my back!" he whipped out his fire ability and lit his sod red hot.
Murong Shao sighed. "Fine… let's go."
The building they were going to enter was half collapsed. the ceiling had fallen through and partially part of the house was still intact.
They climbed over the rubble carefully.
The closer they got to the intact part of the house more Yue felt a sense of danger. He could feel that dangerous pressure in the.
Murong Shao frowned. "It should have run out by now… something is weird." He moved his hand and a huge metal rod appeared out of nowhere.
"Where do you get your metal?" Yue curiously gazed up at him.
"well, I have mounted a lot of metal onto that van. You can't see it but it's everywhere in there," he waved his hand and form a huge shield out of the metal. "Stand behind me."
They slowly entered the house. the bedroom and the kitchen seem to be the only intact parts. The bedroom was completely empty except for the bones that were littered all over the ground.
So many human bones.
The behavior of this zombie was similar to those of bears who stack their prey in their caves.
His curiosity was piqued. 'What kind of zombie would this be?'
They cautiously entered the kitchen.
On the ceiling, there was a huge pod-like thing.
Yue frowned deeply. "What is that?!"
Murong Shao pulled him back safely. "That is a mutant mist wasp cocoon. We have a few nearby. That zombie seems to have occupied it. I guess it does resemble a hammock." He misshaped his metal into a lot of spikes and stabbed the cocoon repeatedly.
"That level six is about to break through. It's at its weakest now. But this darn cocoon is hard. I can't pierce through it," Murong Shao grunted. He made a protective metal wall in front of them.
Yue tightly gripped his flaming sword.
The sense of dread intensified again.
A soft growl was heard.
"Yue leave." Murong hao suddenly whispered.
"I won't."
"Leave!" Shao suddenly rushed forward.
The next instant the whole room was shrouded in a dark mist.
Yue was thrown off by this. the mist covered everything and he was unable to see anything. Even his hand in front of his face was not visible.
"Yue! Get out of here!!" Murong Shao shouted from the distance.
Yue gritted his teeth. "What power is this?" he openly lit the flames in his hand and set the room up in flames.
Even that was not able to dissipate the mist in front of his face.
He closed his eyes for a second to listen to the sounds. A faint scuffling of rubble was heard close to his right.
Instantly he stabbed his sword that way.
"screeee!!!!" the zombie retreated.
"Now is the chance!! Yue run!!!"
