Chapter 343 343 - G City Prison
Deep in the night, a small shadow darted through the gaps in between the cars and rushed to a particular van parked in the middle of the clearing.
The small shadow swiftly wiggled its body through the small gap in the window and dropped into the car.
Prisitsky glanced at the rat that landed on his lap with a dull gaze. "Yue's rat? did you come here to give yourself up for my experiments?" he grabbed Trexa by her scuff.
The little rat froze.
Prisitsky just squeezed her small body a bit and let go of her. "Go, I won't harm you,"
Trexa squeaked and held up a small lotus seed to him.
"don't want,"
Trexa blankly looked up at him. weirdly so this little rat's expression looked human-like.
Sighing Prisitsky took the small brown seed and looked at it. it looked old. "no thank you," he handed it back.
Trexa just took it from him and all of sudden tossed it at his face.
"What are yo…" the seed got stuck in his throat. He hurriedly gulped down a bottle full of water and swallowed the seed. "You have a death wish. Come here."
Trexa simply ran away after accomplishing her initial purpose.
Prisitsky grumbled and gulped down a few bottles more of water. somehow he felt very thirsty. It was unquenchable. He drank at least four or five liters of water before exhaustion hit in. sighing he slumped down on the back seat of the car and slept.
Hary who was watching from the distance walked close. Only when he confirmed that he was asleep did he get into the car and sit beside him. he pulled the slender man in his embrace and held him close. "you can't push me away.. I won't allow you to."

The next morning, by daybreak, they started their car and sent off to their new base. It was only a ten minutes' drive from there.
The zombie population also seemed to be surprisingly low.
Yue hugged little Zara in his arms and watched out the window. "its weird.. where did all the zombies go?"
"They must have followed the hoard to our base." Fan said from the driver's seat.
Yue's frown deepened. it's hard to believe that every single zombie just ran in one direction. Something was fishy about this area.
From this place, he could see the G city jail.
It was one of the high-security jails so the jail was commissioned to be built in the outskirts of the city. It was in between a vast clearing just so the prison guards can easily capture the escapees.
In his first life, he had never been here, but he had heard rumors of this place. Some said that the prisoners stuck here ate each other's flesh and drank the blood to live. Some said that the prisoners all died on the same day as the Apocalypse and turned into zombies.
He was unsure what was true.
If the initial rumor was true, then they were stuck in a dangerous situation. They needed the walls of this prison for their protection. If it was already occupied by someone else, they might even try to attack them.
If the latter one was true, then they had a very large group of hungry zombies to deal with. They had been stuck in that prison for very long. They would be in a very bad state of hunger. Killing them would not be easy.
He grabbed Fan's wrist. "Go slow. Have an earth ability user check the ground in front of us,"
Fan did not ask for more details. He conveyed the order through the walkie and slow down.
Yue kept a keen eye on the road. There were a few human bones and clothes littered all around. one skull in particular had a bullet hole in it. Judging from the level of decay, these corpses were about a month or a few days old.
Fan frowned deeply. "The prison might be occupied."
"hmm… how do we deal with this?"
"we can try to ask for cooperation. If not… we'll see what we can do at that point," he picked up the walkie and warned all the soldiers to be armed and cautious but not to attack before he gives the command.
The car slowly rolled down close to the prison.
It was a huge concrete structure with high walls and electric fences set on top. From the looks of it, the fence was in working condition. The only entry point was a huge gate in from the front.
It was now barricaded with an earthen wall.
It was an obvious sign of someone living in there.
Yue gently rocked Zara in his arms. "What are we going to do? Can we talk to them?"
Fan picked up a gun and stuffed it in his boots. "All stay in. I'll see if these people are willing to cohabit with us,"
Yue grabbed his hand. "I'm coming too."
"Dear these are criminals we are dealing with. It's not safe to leave the kids and your parents alone," fen gently caressed his face.
Yue still was very reluctant to let go. As fans said these people were very dangerous criminals. They can easily hurt his husband.
Just as Fan got down, a red laser dot fell on his forehead.
"Fan! Get down! there is a sniper aiming at you!' he screamed hurriedly.
"Raise your hands up." a soft voice called out through a microphone
Fan remained still and raised his hands up.
"We don't have any space for your lot. It's better to leave now," the man said calmly.
Fan glanced his way.
Yue simply shook his head. If not this prison, they can try to find another spot to stay. Fighting with dangerous criminals who have abilities is a risk.
Fan nodded at him comfortingly and once again concentrated at the microphone. "we don't mean any harm."
"I don't care,"
the red laser points on Fan's forehead multiplied.
Yue could not sit back and watch this. he hurriedly gave Zara to his mother and rushed out of the car. He grabbed Fan's hand. "let's go. We don't have to stay here."
"Yue?" the soft voice whispered.
Zou Yue glanced at the walls, frowning. "Yes?"
"You are alive…"
Fan glanced at him questionably.
He simply shook his head. he had no clue who this person was.
"Open the gates. Let the guests in."
