Chapter 248 Identity Revealed
Chapter 248 Identity Revealed
Elliot shook his head. The cocoon of dark origin appeared to be relatively unharmed despite being attacked by the combined attacks of eight full-fledged Level 6 origin masters.
If the elites didn't gather in time, he would have lost his arms even if he kept his life.
The monster which almost killed Elliot in one hit and could take multiple hits from level 6 origin masters, the monster must be at least be at the top of the Level 5 origin master.
"Everyone."
Elliot ordered.
"Don't let it get away!"
"Be at ease, young master."
When the origin masters replied, the dark monster jumped up and it flew straight for the area with the least population density.
"Crap!"
"Don't let it get away!"
"You monster! Stop right now!"
The level 6 origin masters hollered. They channeled power to chase after the monster but a figure appeared seemingly out of thin air, surprising the fighters greatly.
The figure went straight after the monster that just escaped.
Elliot and the others couldn't get a good look at the new incomer, his eyes filled with vigilance. Whoever it is, this person must be powerful enough, confidant to show in the second powerful family's turf.
"Be careful!"
The figure didn't care what they had to say as she continued going after the monster.
"What a fool!"
Elliot and the other level 6 elites scolded the figure. That fool was bound to wound up as a pile of bones for her asinine move.
Then, something happened that went out of their expectations.
Boom!
When the uninvited guest smashed into the dark origin cocoon, the air around them exploded under the immense fallout. The soldiers who were nearby got blown into the distance. The resulting violent gusts also kept everyone rooted as they tried to resist being blown away by the attack.
Bang!
Another thud came as they saw the tanky monster get smashed into a wall like modern art. The wall collapsed under the immense impact.
They couldn't believe their eyes when they saw the uninvited guest who looked completely fine, her clothes weren't even ruffled.
Petrified by this great display of power, they looked on with awe.
It took eight level 6 cultivators to force the monster back temporarily. Yet, the new arrival just straight-up smacked the monster into a wall.
'Is she a level 4 origin master?'
Elliot couldn't believe his eyes when he identified the uninvited guest.
"Nemesis, It's you!"
"Nemesis?!"
The other soldiers looked at the figure with changed expressions.
As Camus clan members, Nemesis is a very familiar name.
She was the one who soundly defeated their young master in combat. The second young master also got wrecked when he tried to use underhanded techniques on her.
She was an infamous individual for the Camus clan members.
"Nemesis!!!"
A low growl came.
Buried under a pile of rubble, rotting origin wafted up from between the rocks. Then, the origin went back before exploding in a grand fashion.
A scaly monster with long claws and wiggling tentacles emerged from under the rubble. Its mono-eye had 7 pupils while its body shone with insidious whip-like dark energy. It bellowed in anger one more time, shaking the space around it.
"Nemesis !!!"
When the monster clad in dark qi roared, the others finally jolted back into reality.
The surrounding guards nervously stepped back when the monster shrieked with anger and hatred.
Even Elliot and the other level 6 origin masters subconsciously backpedaled. Nemesis was the only who still stood her ground against the terrifying monster.
Her blood reacted violently to the monster, it was telling Nemesis that she found her target.
Looking at the exact same monster Marcus transformed into, she sighed. The appearance of the monster itself was the only clue she needed to locate where the dark wisp of light went.
Nemesis frowned when she heard the monster howling. She felt a bit helpless.
It was almost like a replay of the last time she faced Marcus.
Is every dark light augmented lifeform going to have a beef with her? It also looks like the dark wisp of light is hell-bent on becoming enemies with her?
Nemesis was annoyed. She was not going out of her way to make enemies. Sge also didn't go around whacking innocent individuals. Those who died by her hands had it coming even if they were morally ambiguous, more importantly, they were the ones who struck first, seeking death by going after her.
Suddenly, she thought of something she hadn't thought before.
'So it is you.'
She should have considered this as soon as she discovered it was the Camus family. There was that scumbag she wretched, she had not feel her presence until now, so naturally it was simply because he had become the host to the black light.
"So, it's you..."
Nemesis's low volume entered everyone's ears. The monster also slowly reined in its dark origin.
'He knows who I am?'
Klaus said nothing although his scaly face twitched in nervousness.
"Y-you know who that thing is?"
Klaus felt a strange sense of unease when Nemesis said that.
Elliot's curiosity got the better of him.
''Nemesis, who is that?"
"Hmm?"
Nemesis turned around with a surprised look. She then dropped the bomb on Elliot and everyone else. It was quite shocking what she dropped as none of them seemed to have been expecting this.
"You can't recognize your own younger brother after he turned into a monster?"
"My brother?"
Elliot balled his palms into fists, his unease intensified.
"You're saying... that thing's Klaus Camus my brother?"
"Ahhh.."
Nemesis shrugged.
"Go ask that thing."
Klaus didn't take kindly to Nemesis's dismissive attitude. His dark origin exploded once more.
"Dieee!!!"
Klaus lashed out with his claws.
Fwoom!
The space shook as Klaus unleashed claw beams filled to the brim with corruption and corrosive powers. The claw beams expanded rapidly like an expanding field of dark lightning.
As the claw beams gouged the ground, everyone watched as the claw beams got close to Nemesis.
