Chapter 1

C1 – Nineheaven Divine Dragon Tower!

“Nine-heaven Divine Dragon Tower, Ten-direction Prison Suppressing Technique.”

Qiao Mao sensed a flood of information within his mind, originating from a small tower he had once considered an unparalleled treasure in his lifetime.

“Regrettably, it was only in death that I realized this nameless tower was the Nine-heaven Divine Dragon Tower, and its greatest secret was the Ten-direction Prison Suppressing Technique.”

The Nine-heaven Divine Dragon Tower was a formidable prison crafted by the Ancient Dragon Clan using the power of countless living beings to suppress gods and demons.

Why the Dragon Clan undertook such a task was not disclosed in the information Qiao Mao received. However, the Ten-direction Prison Suppressing Technique was a supreme skill inscribed on the tower, designed to harness the power of imprisonment.

“The Nine-heaven Divine Dragon Tower and the Ten-direction Prison Suppressing Technique together could create a prison capable of detaining the Whole Heaven Gods and Devils. I believe there’s a significant secret involved, and mastering this technique would undoubtedly make me a Super Expert.”

“Alas, I am already dead. I’m uncertain how long my soul will last. My regrets are profound.”

If Qiao Mao had been slain in the battle between the Celestial Ancient Burial Land and the Nether Clan due to his lack of strength, he would not harbor much bitterness.

The Nether Clan’s invasion was formidable, and Qiao Mao saw no hope for survival. Yet, unexpectedly, as his life hung by a thread, a long sword pierced his chest and shattered his Life Spirit.

The assailant was none other than his beloved disciple, Dong Polang, who had secretly conspired with the Nether Clan to seize the Nine-heaven Divine Dragon Tower he so cherished.

With his Life Spirit shattered, Qiao Mao knew he was beyond saving. In a final act, he ignited his Soul Essence and, despite his grievous injuries, executed a forbidden technique. In a cataclysmic self-destruction, he and the Nine-heaven Divine Dragon Tower annihilated everyone present.

The battle claimed innumerable lives.

The Celestial Ancient Burial Land fell, and countless experts perished.

Qiao Mao’s consciousness was fading. His soul was on the verge of vanishing.

“Wait, there’s Spiritual Energy drifting nearby. It’s faint, but it’s definitely there. That can’t be right; I perished in the explosion with the Nine-heaven Divine Dragon Tower. My body was obliterated. There shouldn’t be any Spiritual Energy here, not even the slightest wisp.”

“But what if I didn’t die? That’s impossible.”

Qiao Mao’s eyes snapped open, and to his astonishment, he found himself lying in a bed, his body transformed into that of a young boy.

“Mao, you’re finally awake. I was so worried about you. Please, don’t ever scare me like that again.”

Qiao Mao jolted at the sound of the voice and quickly turned to see who was beside him. He was met with the sight of a woman, her eyes red and veined with blood, swollen as though she hadn’t slept for several days and nights.

“What’s happening? Wasn’t I supposed to have died in the Celestial Ancient Burial Land?” Qiao Mao’s mind raced with shock, but in that moment, the woman’s tender hand reached out and gently stroked his face.

The touch was startlingly real, sending a shiver through Qiao Mao’s entire body. He stared at himself in disbelief, finally realizing that he had been sent back two hundred years in time.

Qiao Mao quickly examined his body to confirm his return to the past. This year, he was only fifteen. Just a few days prior, he had quarreled with his cousin, Qiao Hee, never imagining that Qiao Hee would secretly harm him and send him back home.

His grievous injuries had kept his mother awake and caring for him for five long days and nights, and his Mortality Transcending Level Three Heaven strength had vanished without a trace.

“Nine-heaven Divine Dragon Tower, Ten-direction Prison Suppressing Technique, imprisoning all Whole Heaven Gods and Devils.”

As this knowledge from the Nine-heaven Divine Dragon Tower flooded his mind, Qiao Mao quickly inspected his dantian. There, the Nine-heaven Divine Dragon Tower lay, emitting a faint glow, then remaining unchanged.

“So that’s it,” Qiao Mao murmured to himself. “When I triggered the self-destruction of the Nine-heaven Divine Dragon Tower, it couldn’t be destroyed. Instead, it brought me back here, two hundred years earlier.”

With this realization, Qiao Mao exhaled deeply, a weight lifting from his shoulders. Reborn with the Nine-heaven Divine Dragon Tower, he was certain he could achieve immortality. He vowed to crush the billions of the Nether Clan and those who had betrayed him in his past life beneath his feet.

Having survived his own self-destruction and taken millions of enemies with him, Qiao Mao saw this as an immense opportunity.

“Mao, your father has gone to Fallen Cloud Valley. You must wake up, or I might as well die.” The woman sobbed as she gently caressed Qiao Mao’s face.

Qiao Mao’s heart melted with compassion. Despite his miraculous second chance at life, the sight of his mother’s anguish made him clench his fists in resolve.

“In this life, I refuse to let my mother suffer any further. I will ensure that my father returns from Fallen Cloud Valley unscathed.” Qiao Mao silently vowed. Then, he quickly sat up and reassured her, “Mother, I’m alright now.”

“Mao.” Upon seeing Qiao Mao awake, the woman’s grief vanished instantly. She embraced him tightly and, with tears in her voice, exclaimed, “Mao, I’m so relieved you’re okay.”

Qiao Mao offered a comforting smile and tenderly wiped away her tears with his sleeve. “Mother, I’m perfectly fine,” he assured her.

Zhen Gui managed a smile and said, “I’m glad you’re okay. If anything had happened to you, I wouldn’t know how to face your father.”

At the mention of his father, Qiao Dou, Qiao Mao’s brow furrowed slightly, and he inquired, “Mother, why did father go to Fallen Cloud Valley? From what I understand, it’s hardly a safe place.”

In his past life, Qiao Mao was unaware of Qiao Dou’s journey to Fallen Cloud Valley. It was only after their family’s downfall that he stumbled upon some information. By the time Qiao Mao entered Fallen Cloud Valley, Qiao Dou had already perished, his remains never found.

Back then, Qiao Mao had been pursued by enemies and was forced to flee from Fallen Cloud Valley. It wasn’t until he grew stronger that the Nether Clan invasion occurred, leaving the issue unresolved.

Qiao Mao regretted not knowing the cause of his father’s death in his previous life. He thought remorsefully, “Father, I failed you.”

“How did you find out your father went to Fallen Cloud Valley?” Zhen Gui asked, taken aback. She had kept this matter from Qiao Mao to spare him worry and was surprised he had learned of it.

“I heard it from someone else,” Qiao Mao replied, using it as a pretext. Naturally, he couldn’t reveal his rebirth. He then pressed on, “Mother, what exactly prompted my father to venture into Fallen Cloud Valley?”.
