Chapter 88 - Progress. Warrior-rank.
Aren was at the top of the tower, and there were two more people here with a telescope in their hands and were looking around in all directions.
Naturally, the telescope in their hands was far better than Aren's eyesight since it was an item powered by spirit energy and a crystal material that could zoom into things.
The three didn't bother with Aren since they were doing their job and just told him not to bother them in these dire times.
A while ago, when he was climbing the tower with Trion, he erased one of Aren's worries saying that since this central district in the town is an area of Guildhall and even if the enemy kingdom wants to destroy and conquer this capital town and kill the king to conquer the kingdom, they wouldn't harm the Guild's property.
The Guild is a giant entity with a presence in every single power in this world, be it organizations, kingdoms, empires, etc. And otherworlders can remain safe if they go into Guildhall on a condition that they did not officially affiliate them with any individual power like a kingdom, organization, or empire, etc.
Every branch of the Guild had a teleportation formation that connects to each Guild branch and headquarters, so if someone messed with the Guild's property, they would be entirely erased from the map.
Hearing that, Aren had an idea of officially joining the Guild as its staff member, but...Trion shook his head with a weak smile and said that....to become the staff member of any guild branch in any town is easy and risky both.
For instance, if Aren wanted to become a staff member in the Guildhall of this town, he...would have to affiliate himself with the Forcrent Kingdom. So if by chance Forcrent kingdom lost, then the head of the Guild branch here would kick them out and give them a chance to escape. If the enemy decided to chase this kicked-out staff and they couldn't run away, they might die. All of that is already written in the agreement before anyone decides to join the guild branch.
However, to become a true member of the Guild, one needed to be at least a Legendary Lifeform and pass the test at the headquarter of the Guild in the mysterious Trichrone region.
First and foremost, finding the Trichrone region and the Guild headquarter was the first test in itself.
Aren shook his head as he didn't have time to do all that since he was still a Mortal lifeform.
He was training in the Demon Yakum's spinergy method while observing the battle. Naturally, he was using 400 spirit energy per five minutes instead of 500 spirit energy, fearing that he might make a mistake with a load of 500 spirit energy roaming in his meridians since he was also observing the battles.
He saw Cerity bringing out red, black, and green lightning as well, and she was actually doing so many things at once. He didn't observe Ketu since he was speedily roaming and exchanging blows with the enemy at a fast pace.
After an hour, he turned to the right side and observed the battle there, which was even more dynamic.
Giant flame pillars, dark red and orange energy manifestation of various birds as they exploded in the face of other people who were defending with their skills and attack as well.
A giant round water wheel was spinning in the sky, spreading out dark blue crystals as they released laser beams.
It was a chaotic battle as twelve people were fighting each other. None of them had fixed opponents as they brutally rotated to take down and try to injure each other severely.
Three hours passed, but the battles were still ongoing as it seemed that none of them had run out of energy yet, 'guess they must have high-grade spirit stones with a high stock of spirit energy in them.'
Aren counted people, and according to that, he judged that the Legendary powerhouses from both sides hadn't fought yet. Or maybe they're fighting but at another place? He didn't know.
[Congratualtion! You have reached 5% progress in your Spinergy Method's 1st stage, your spirit core has been slightly refined, and your spirit energy pool's capacity has increased by 150.]
Aren saw this before he continued training while observing the battle.
Another hour passed, and it was a dead night right now, but everyone was still awake.
"Sigh...if only I got some kind of quest, "Aren muttered as he had spent all of his spirit energy from his spirit energy pool and even both spirit stones.

Aren was bored of observing the battle as he felt that there was no use observing it anymore. This war was not going in a way as he expected.
He descended the town and started walking towards the Guildhall to accept some quests.
After showing his id card, the staff there put his guild id card on a crystal plate and assessed Aren's rank was surprised.
"Huh? how come your guild ID card's rank is warrior-rank even though you are still mortal lifeform?" The staff strangely looked at him before he asked, "did you participate in a high-level dungeon and fought high-grade monsters?"
Aren was a bit confused about getting the warrior-rank part. Still, he nodded in agreement with other things, "Indeed, I was dragged into a hidden dungeon and also participated in high-level battles."
"But how do you know about it?" Aren asked with confusion.
The staff man said with a smile, "this guild id card has such a mysterious function to assess that and turn it into experience points. According to the experience points stored in your card right now, It just upgraded to warrior-rank after I put it on this crystal plate."
"I see, then It means I can accept higher-level quests, right?" Aren asked with a grin.
"Eh...sure, It's not strange to pick them if you are powerful enough. This id card is proof of that," the staff man nodded as he gave back the guild id card to Aren.
"Great," Aren nodded with a smile before he went to the quest board.
This Guildhall was far vaster than the Guildhall in Dusalmeir town and had a lot more quests.
After spending thirty-minute, he accepted a total of twelve quests that each gave him 500 to 600 gold coins and some potions with different effects.
There was a striking similarity between some of those quests and it was that all of them required one to kill a specific powerful beast in different locations while some required Aren to gather body parts as materials.
For that, he also had to buy a map that cost him 800 gold coins, and three tools that cost him 150 gold coins.
