Chapter 17 – Hinata’s move

Sakura's enthusiasm for getting our first mission quickly burst when she realized it was just a simple quest to find a missing cat.

It was pretty simple with Hinata finding it in less than 30 minutes using the Byakugan cheat code and me calming it through hormones to where it let us carry it back to its owner as it purred softly in Hinata's arms.

We then got another mission which consisted of helping carry tree logs in a more hilly region on the outskirts of Konoha.
This one took our entire morning and, once done, the three of us were limping tiredly as we headed back to the village.

We ate together at some cheap stall while making small conversation but it was mostly Sakura, then me doing the talking. Nonetheless, all three of us were having a good time.

In the afternoon, our first training consisted of just sparing, all 3 of us vs Anko-sensei without using any jutsu.

We at least had a burst of energy, having dropped all the weight we carried on our limbs during the missions but that too quickly ran out.

By the end, all three of us were lying dead on a spot of grass.

Anko approached us

"Aren't you forgetting anything?"

"Ohhh..."

I spread my arms and roll Sakura and Hinata over to where they were now resting with their head on my chest being hugged by my arms, one for each-

"Hey, leave some room for me"

Anko goes behind me and pushes my upper body, leaving me sitting as she sits behind me hugging my neck.

I can feel 2 soft globes on my back but don't get to fully enjoy the sensation as I focus on my job.

I am so very tired...

I sit comfortably with my eyes closed in concentration.

My eyes flutter open.
Hinata's eyes are looking at me as we both lie down facing each other.

"Hinata? How long was I asleep? Where are Sa…"

She places 2 fingers on my lips, interrupts me.

"It's…. Just us Yami-kun"

The situation surprises me. I can't imagine how we'd end up in this situation.

"Yami-kun… I... I don't want to lose you"

I finally understand what's happening.
Hinata knew what happened yesterday.

Since she took the courage to reach this far, this is not the time to play dumb with her feeling. It's the time to man up or risk losing someone.

"I'll always be here silly, and I was never going to let you leave"

I roll over and get on top of Hinata.
She's done more than enough and I can't bear to see her push herself any further for today.

I take the initiative and move in for a kiss. Hinata quietly accepts as her eyes moisten in happiness.

I break the kiss only a few moments later.

"I'm not giving up on any of you. I'll make it work even if it means I have to walk in and beat up the entire Hyuga clan to take you away"

"Yami, please… I'm not worth"

"You are worth the world Hinata, and if you can't believe in yourself then just believe in me"

We share another kiss, longer this time, before getting up. Hinata glances up before leading me away.

I drop off Hinata at her clan before heading back home.

Standing on top of a tree close by Anko finishes her dango.

"Wasn't that sweet as a dango. Enjoyed the show Sakura?"

"hmph, hmphhhphhm"

"Ohh right!"

Anko cuts the cloth covering Sakura's mouth and starts untying the ropes tying her up.

"Why?" Sakura asks, her eyes misty.

"Because you couldn't see it. I've seen people like Yami before and they have too much heart to give.

It's better you understand from the start you'll have to share him or someone would have ended up hurt someday.

Besides it's only fair you got to watch as well".

"What do you mean Anko-sensei?"

"How do you think Hinata felt?
She's been with Yami longer than you but never got any of the benefits.
You show up later than her and while she's hesitating with doubts and fears you snatch Yami from her"

"I.. Didn't mean to"

"I know you didn't just want to hurt Hinata, you have the right to chase your happiness even if it leaves others sad.
But I think this is a game where there doesn't need to be any loser."

"You mean…"

"Yes, share Yami between yourselves, don't worry about what others think, just do what feels natural and leaves you happy."

"I'll think about it… but why did you really have to tie me up?

"You just looked too attractive, all tied up and forced to watch the love of your life be snatched away.

Anko smiles to herself.

'With this, hopefully, dramas can be kept to a minimum.....'
'Who am I kidding... they probably won't stop until they are both impaled on his dick.
I can hardly wait!'
