Chasing You Like a Tenacious Falcon

Chapter 44: Nothing to say Her fists are Hard

Chapter 44

The rumors about the canteen incident were smoothed over thanks to Zhuge Ying paving the way and Wei Shixu tying up loose ends, allowing Quan Zhisui to get away completely unscathed and even gain some notoriety from it.

Now the whole school knew that not only was she Zuo Zichen's cousin and older sister figure, but that she could beat Zuo Zichen into submission!

There was a hint that she was gaining the aura of Gang Linjia the overlord.

On her way home, Quan Zhisui saw a message on her phone that had been recalled. It was still Fang Yue being exceptionally careful about sending messages. However, it had been sent in the afternoon when she was in class and hadn't seen the content.

She didn't care at all! Her fist was hard!

These past few days, she had stirred up drama at the Zuo family, leaving Zuo Zhiyu and Xu Zhiyi scrambling to react, busy the whole time just dealing with "good morning!"

When Quan Zhisui returned to the Zuo house, she learned that Zuo Zhiyu had gone on a business trip, with Fang Yue accompanying him, apparently to deliberately avoid her.

The dining room had already been redecorated, with waterproof and oil-resistant decorative panels installed on the walls.

As expected of a prominent family, they were able to repair such extensive damage in just a few short days. The dining room now looked as good as new.

As the little brother, Zuo Zichen helped carry Quan Zhisui's schoolbag upstairs to her room. Quan Zhisui went to the dining room first to eat.

And so, there she encountered the gloomy-faced Xu Zhiyi.

When Xu Zhiyi saw her, she immediately flung her phone at Quan Zhisui without saying a word!

Quan Zhisui deftly dodged to the side.

Bang!

The phone heavily smashed into the door behind her.

Quan Zhisui asked very calmly, "Aunt Xu, what are you doing?"

Xu Zhiyi shrieked, "What did you do at school?! What did you do to my Zichen?!"

She had felt something was off all along, so she contacted Teacher Ding from 10th grade and only then learned about the major incidents involving her son at school.

And it happened twice! Both times in the cafeteria!

She had watched the videos. It turned out Zuo Zichen's injured hand was because of Quan Zhisui!

She had caused Zuo Zichen to fracture his hand!

And then there was today's video where she saw Quan Zhisui smear a face full of food onto Zuo Zichen, and even hit her son's head with that stainless steel lunch tray!

Yet Quan Zhisui shamelessly lied to her!

Xu Zhiyi was furious beyond belief. She charged around the round table, intent on getting violent. "Your dad isn't home today. I'm going to beat you to death! You little bitch! How dare you lay a hand on my son! I'm going to beat you to death!"

Quan Zhisui nimbly dodged her, completely out of reach.

Faintly, a bizarre gleam flickered in her eyes.

She asked, "Aunt Xu, are you sure you want to curse at me and hit me?"

"I'm going to beat you to death! I'm going to kill you! You bitch! My son's hand is your fault!" Xu Zhiyi charged at her again like a madwoman, throwing whatever was in her hand. She smashed up the entire dining room, causing a cacophony of clangs and clatters.

When Zuo Zichen came whistling to the dining room after putting down his schoolbag, he happened to see his own mother having a meltdown.

She kept chasing after Quan Zhisui to hit her but couldn't land a single blow as they ran around the dining room.

Xu Zhiyi was both frenzied and screaming, her hair disheveled and her clothes torn every which way. She looked like she had lost her mind!

Zuo Zichen was shocked and yelled, "Mom! What are you doing?!"

"Ah! Ahhh!" Xu Zhiyi kept screaming and raging.

On the other hand, Quan Zhisui calmly spoke, "Oh, your mom wants to hit me but can't, so she's gone mad from frustration."

Zuo Zichen said, "Mom! Why do you want to hit big sister?"

When Xu Zhiyi saw Zuo Zichen, she collapsed into his arms bawling, "Son! I'm sorry to you! I didn't know you were bullied like this at school!"

Quan Zhisui had already found a seat at the table and called towards the kitchen, "Uncle Ma, serve the dishes!"

This provoked Xu Zhiyi once more. She remembered the previous time Quan Zhisui had flipped the table, scattering dishes all over the floor and drenching her precious son in oil.

So she let go of Zuo Zichen and rushed over to flip the table as well.

As she flipped it, she yelled, "I'm going to smash you to death!"

But then...

That extravagant stone table was extremely heavy. Not only could she not lift it, she pulled a muscle in her hand.

So she howled and rolled on the ground in pain.

She really did look deranged.

The relentless high-pitched shrieking was too much for Zuo Zichen. He bellowed, "Mom! Can you please stop screaming! You're going to make me deaf!"

"You cheap bastard!" Xu Zhiyi still kept cursing. She glared at Quan Zhisui with eyes full of malice. "You and your mother are both cheap whores!"

As soon as these words left her mouth, Zuo Zichen sensed trouble brewing.

But it was too late.

In a flash, Quan Zhisui raised her hand and flung a plate of cold appetizers right at Xu Zhiyi.

Her aim was pinpoint accurate, as if calculated precisely!

The plate smashed heavily into Xu Zhiyi's face with a thwack, twisting her face to one side. As the dishes scattered on the floor, the shattered porcelain cut her right under the corner of her eye, and a drop of blood oozed out.

"Ah! Ahhh!" Xu Zhiyi clutched her eye in terror and screamed, "My eye! Call an ambulance! Call an ambulance!"

"Mom?!" Zuo Zichen was extremely worried and hurriedly went to check on her.

Then he breathed a sigh of relief, "It's nothing, just a small cut."

For a second there, he really thought the plate had hit his mother's eye. Luckily it was just a porcelain scratch, still several centimeters away from her actual eye.

He was very concerned about his own mother, but also afraid of Quan Zhisui.

Xu Zhiyi shrieked frantically, "She dared to hit me! She made me bleed! She even hit my son, she hit my son! Call the police, call the police now! Arrest her!"

The huge commotion in the dining room quickly brought the Zuo family servants rushing over, only to see their mistress having a breakdown.

"Call an ambulance! Call the police!" Xu Zhiyi pounded the floor desperately, nearly swelling up her own hand from the force.

The servants all looked at each other, very hesitant.

"Calling the police...what about the Master's instructions?"

Prominent families rarely resolved grievances by calling the police. They valued face greatly and feared scandals getting out.

These were all instructions Zuo Zhiyu had specifically laid out.

"Call the police!" Xu Zhiyi's attitude was extremely firm.

At this time, Quan Zhisui sat in the head seat, single-handedly propping up her chin as she sneered coldly, "Go ahead and call the police. Let Zuo family scandals become known to all, tank Zuo Corporation's market value, and show everyone in Liangxi City who the real cheap whore is."

Silence--

Xu Zhiyi's furious curses and screams vanished in an instant.

She's right...I can't call the police...

Zuo Zhiyu would divorce me.

The dining room became dead silent, with only the nervous breathing of the crowd remaining.

Zuo Zichen gave Quan Zhisui a complicated look and patted Xu Zhiyi's back, murmuring, "Mom, stop making a scene. Don't fight anymore."

You're no match for her.

She's clever, powerful, and ruthless.

Xu Zhiyi seemed to have lost her soul. She slumped to the floor in panic and helplessness, looking at Zuo Zichen, then at Quan Zhisui.

Quan Zhisui simply sat in the head seat looking at her, her eyes not icy cold or hateful like one would imagine, but an aloof gaze from one in power.

Like watching an ant struggle, mildly entertaining to play with for now, but can be crushed at any time.

This kind of terrifying yet powerful gaze instantly evoked Xu Zhiyi's memories. She had seen such frightening, mighty eyes before!

In Quan Feng's eyes.
