Chapter 37 Godly Doctors
Emilia was caught off guard after being addressed in such a manner.
Her beautiful face showed that she was confused, and she could feel that this man did not have ill intentions.
She thought that she heard it incorrectly, so she asked, "What…..did you call me?"
Hendric Smith repeated, "Ma'am!"
After hearing it again, Emilia's eyes which were filled with confusion turned toward Oliver Walker.
It felt unrealistic like a dream!
How much more shameless could this man be?
The old man standing before her should already be in his sixties. He was already old enough to be her father.
He was calling her ma'am, as in his master's wife?!
She was hoping to get the truth from Oliver Walker.
Oliver Walker frowned as she tried to explain, "My apprentice was in Colorado, so he wanted to pay you a visit and also treat Olivia!"
If this was heard but anyone else who knew this old man, their jaws would drop to the ground.
One should know that this apprentice was already a godly doctor! He was an expert in traditional Chinese medicine!
But, those who knew their identities would soon calm down.
Wouldn't it be normal for the Chaplain of the country to have one or two apprentices?
As for his other apprentices, none of them were worse than Hendric Smith!
Emilia was stunned. She quickly said, "You..."
Would she believe it?
Oliver Walker felt helpless as well!
"Ma'am!"
Hendric Smith frowned as he said humbly, "I work for the International Medical Center and have had the honor to be called a godly doctor.
"I heard from my master that our little sister, Olivia, has leukemia, so I came all the way from Indiana with the hope of treating her.
As for the conflict between his teacher and his wife, Hendric Smith had already heard of it from the first god of war, Aiden Wilson.
However, Olivia's condition should be their utmost priority.
Oliver Walker nodded his head, "I told you previously about how I wanted him to treat Olivia."
Things had already happened in this manner, and there was no need for him to hide anything.
Since they would have to talk about it sooner or later, getting Olivia treated earlier would allow her to suffer less.
"Treat her?"
Emilia's eyes were now filled with rage, "You can treat leukemia with traditional medicine?!"
It wasn't that she didn't believe in traditional medicine.
It was because there had been too many charlatans out there.
When Olivia was first diagnosed with Leukaemia, she and her mother, Mary Grimm, felt as if the sky was about to fall.
As for her father, Isaac Davis, he brought home a doctor who specializes in traditional medicine as well. He even said that with 2 thousand dollars, he would definitely be able to treat Olivia.
The doctor sounded confident. Along with how desperate they were and that Isaac Davis was the one who found the doctor, they believed him undoubtedly.
They took out all of the money that they had and gathered 2 thousand dollars. They passed it to the doctor and got a few packets of herbs in return.
She had been making the medications as per the instructions, but Olivia's condition did not improve. Instead, it further deteriorated.
Feeling that something wasn't right, Emilia brought the herbs to the hospital, and that was when she was told that those herbs were used to treat the common cold.
Not only was it useless in treating leukemia, but it would also further aggravate her condition.
When she realized that she had been tricked, the old man who pretended to be a doctor disappeared along with Isaac Davis.
Now, Oliver Walker was going to use the same tricks on her! This was disgusting!
They even lied that he came all the way from the frontlines in Indiana!
Why did all the men in her life have to be assholes?!
Her eyes turned from suspicious to angry. She swore to herself that she would expose it personally this time.
"Ma'am, please rest assured. Those with modern medicine would only use surgery for leukemia."
Hendric Smith noticed that something wasn't right and tried to explain to himself, "But for me, it's just..."
Emilia snorted as she continued, "It's something that you can treat with just one dose?"
She had enough of these lies!
pA n,dan(-)0ve1.c0m She felt bitterly disappointed!
"Umm..."
Hendric Smith was stunned as he said, "You already know about it?"
In the entire country, there weren't more than 10 people who could say they could treat their patients with only one try. However, for doctors like them who could enter the International Medical Center, they were already considered godly.
And he was one of them!
