Chaplain!

Chapter 11 Glorious Medals

The entire atmosphere turned cold because they heard him mention 'Frontline in Indiana'.

Was this man really a soldier?

Was he really a hero who returned with victory from the frontline?

Lily Jones continued listening to them and she knew there would be a super touching scene after this.

Oliver Walker bit her lips and nodded her head, "En!"

She really wanted a reply from her father.

But….who was this uncle though?

Why would he have the letter that she wrote for her father?

Was he a comrade?

Or….was this man really her father?

"Olivia!

"I am your father!

"I am terribly sorry that you had to wait so long for a reply!"

Oliver was putting out all of his emotions of missing home into words. He was spurting out all of the words that he couldn't say yesterday.

"The war ahead should be over soon.

"Your elder brothers and sisters should be able to do things independently now.

"Which is why I have the time to return to you.

"Although the cruel war on the frontline isn't stopping, the bloodshed that I see every day has not stopped me from missing you every day.

"I missed you dearly, and I would love to be by your side 24 hours a day so that I can watch you grow up.

"But, please forgive me for being a soldier. I carry the responsibility of protecting the country.

"There are still thousands of hot-blooded young men who are still fighting for this piece of land, and we are forced to put our families behind so that we can fight."

"..."

The entire place turned quiet!

After hearing what Oliver Walker said, they thought of the peaceful days they were experiencing now. They weren't living in a peaceful world but it was because there were others carrying these weights on their shoulders.

Lily Jones could feel that he was being sincere, and her tears slowly fell onto the podium.

As for the five elder brothers and sisters whom Oliver Walker had just mentioned, they were the five infamous god of war of the country that dominated the borders.

All of them were his apprentices, which made them Olivia's siblings.

"Although I have missed out a lot on your growth, I do hope that Olivia will turn out to be an honest, brave, and true little girl."

At this point, Oliver Walker was already sobbing.

He wasn't trying to show off. He only wanted to tell Olivia that the father whom she had been waiting for wasn't wasting his life away when he went missing. He was just bearing the responsibility of a man to his country!

"That's a lie, right?"

"But, it sounds so true!"

"He's only doing this to lie to the kid. Why should adults like us believe him?"

"..."

The rest of the parents whispered among themselves and started judging Oliver Walker, but it wasn't loud.

It was hard for them to believe his words.

But, Olivia Walker believed it all.

"Daddy, will you be able to stay by my side from now on? Buy toys for me just like the other fathers?"

Although she knew that the entire thing was an act…..

She still put all her feelings into it because it might be possible that this was the only chance where she would ever be this close to what was known as having a father.

Or perhaps…..she already took this man as her own father!

Oliver grabbed onto Olivia's little hand and took out the medals from his pocket. Then, he placed them on the table and said, "This is what I brought back as toys for you from the frontline.

"They're not normal toys but each one of them represented the utmost glory!"

The other adults, who were still skeptical about this, were surprised by the shiny meals.

"Three honorary medals!"

"Five first-class medals!"

"And...second-class medals?"

"..."

Suddenly, there were gasps that filled the room.

Some said that those who got the second class would be receiving it as they lay on their beds.

This meant that most who got first class would have already died, and as for second class, they would be paralyzed.

This meant that it wasn't easy for one to get these medals!

But….this man was an ordinary man. How would he be able to gain so many medals and glory?

Lily Jones's body trembled. For some reason, she felt like there was something stuck in her throat.

However, the thing that they would never know was that these were the medals that Oliver Walker received when he was just a general soldier.

Being honored as the chaplain was something that was truly honorable, but it wasn't something that can be proven by medals.

From the beginning until now, Oliver never thought of being a show-off. He was just trying to tell Olivia that her father was a hero!

The classroom was quiet. None of them could recover from the shock of the shiny medals.

At the same time, there were a dozen luxury cars that arrived at the entrance!

This was something that had never occurred in an ordinary school like Riverdale Nursery!

This immediately shocked the staff of the school, and the principal walked out in fear as he asked, "Mr. Williams, what brings you here today?"

The man who suddenly appeared was the first tycoon of Colorado, Leon Williams, it was definitely understandable for the principal to be so respectful toward him.

The school did not have enough money. If they were able to get close to his man and get him to donate just a little bit of money, they would be able to improve the school's facilities.

"I'm waiting for someone!"

Leon Williams stood up straight by the gates of the school, and he was still feeling confused. In the morning, he mustered up the courage to ask the first god of war about who the man was last night. He finally learned that it was the master of the five gods of war!

It should be noted that these five gods of war were in control of hundreds of thousands of soldiers and were all geniuses.

In order to be their master, how much better would he be?

But….this was something that Leon Williams could never have imagined, but it didn't stop him from admiring that man.

This was why he decided to come all the way here to tell Oliver Walker about Emilia.

The principal asked in a trembling voice, "Mr. Williams, who are you looking for?

"I will get him to come to the office!"

Leon Williams was someone influential in Colorado, and the principal didn't dare to offend this man.

Due to fear, the principal started guessing if there was someone in this school who had offended this VIP!

Leon Williams with a trembling voice, "I'll….I'll just wait here!"

Who is that man?

The master of the five gods of war!

How would he have the audacity to ask that man to meet him at the office?

The rest of the school's staff were dumbfounded. All of them had to stand at the gates under the hot sun and were sweating like crazy.

...

"Do you like it?"

Oliver Walker had a smile on his face, and his eyes were filled with the guilt and love that he had for his daughter.

"En!"

"I do!"

Olivia Walker nodded her head happily. In fact, she didn't even understand what these meant, but she knew these were presents her father bought for her.

Her dreams finally came true. All of the children here would know she had a father and wasn't a monster who came out of a rock.

The only regret was that this man wasn't her real father.

"Teacher Lily, aren't you going to stop him?

"That man is impersonating a hero fighting at the frontline!

"This is absurd! How could anyone still be alive after getting all these medals?

"If it were true, wouldn't it be all over the news by now?"

"..."

Suddenly, all of the anger in the classroom blasted unexpectedly!

The parents started pointing fingers at Oliver Walker with rage. They were screaming at Olivia Walker!

For them, these heroes were too far away from them, so they didn't believe the nonsense coming out of Oliver's mouth!
