Chapter 256: Palkus’ Journey! Pause(36)
Not so many days had passed since Palkus and Azeroth had dealt with the vampires, and now they were living leisurely inside the estate.
Azeroth didn't leave the house for almost two weeks, then for the other two weeks, he only went to the bar, hooked up with the bar lady, and brought her back home after drinking all night.
Palkus, however, truly lived to his laziness and never so much as left his room.
He was starting to get sick of sleeping, so he was going to enjoy it while it lasts and move on to finish his job.
Today, a month after their little mission, Azeroth came and knocked on Palkus' door.
"What's up." Palkus, in his pajamas, opened the door and asked.
"Look at this guy. Every time I go out, I sense him stalking me from somewhere." Azeroth, holding an old vampire from the neck who was beyond unconscious, spoke.
"Who is he?"
"After I've done a little something, he was kind enough to tell me everything. Seems like he works for the countess." Azeroth nodded.
"I see." Palkus looked at the badly injured butler and knew exactly what happened.
"Alright, it seems like I have a mission." Palkus changed into casual clothes and walked out of the room.
*Crash*
"Can I get that countess?" Azeroth walked close to him after the butler got out of the window and asked.
"I don't care." Palkus replied.
"You're right. Why would you?" Azeroth shook his head.
It didn't take long for the two to appear in front of the countess' large mansion. It stood tall in the middle of the town, dark and glorious for all to see.
The gothic elements and the large tower with a cloth handing on top of it were mezmerizing to look at, yet the duo weren't here for any of that.
"She's there?" Palkus asked.
"She's there." Azeroth nodded.
They both looked at the room directly below the tower; they didn't want to waste time. Palkus had returned to his belief that sleep was better now that he had nothing to actually do so, he wanted to get things done over here and return.
If trouble came knocking again, he would follow it until he beats the living shit out of the primogenitor.
He was too lazy to directly go for him, but he could do one thing and it was to wait for him to come.
How will he do that?
Simple.
-------------
The vampire countess was in her office busy doing what a noble vampire had to do, and it was to look through paper.
The air was calm and she was focused on her job. No one was there to annoy her but her mind was still with her subordinate Dariel, who was tasked with bringing her information about the duop of troublemakers who were running around killing her slaves.
Suddenly, she felt a chill. She turned to look behind her and that's when she saw it.
*CRASH*
In but a split second, the tidy and organized office was turned upside down.
The owner of this all was on the ground, her neck held down by a pair of slippers worn by Palkus.
"Hey, hey, I should be the one to do that; you've been sleeping all month long; you weren't stalked by anyone." Azeroth appeared next to them and complained.
"I don't care. I need to go back to sleep. It's too boring." The young man suffering from depression replied. His unhealthy tendency to sleep too much was caused by the lack of companions and dopamine.
His wife and his party members were all back in the dwarfelven continent and he only had this fallen angel of a geezer who was even more down bad than him.
If going around drinking and getting things for free wasn't enough, he was also freely indulging himself with beautiful vampires.
*Cough* *Cough*
"Oh, you're still here." Plakus looked below him at the vampire countess, who was staring dagger at him.
"Get off me! Get off me, peasant!" The countess shouted.
Anger was visible on her twisted face and she hated her very existence for being put in such a position.
Her honor, her pride. All of it was thrown down the drain by a single action from the young man in front of her.
"You have two options. You kneel down, or die." Palkus coldly spoke.
His demeanor comes from his boredom. He wasn't the type to be ruthless; he was quite chill, but now he really just wanted to go back to his estate.
"You dare! I will fucking murder you, then I will everything you hold dear. After that, I wi-"
*Fwshhh* *BOOM*
"One more word." Palkus moved closer to the vampire countess, who was smashed against the door and onto the wall outside the corridor.
If he was bored before, now he was completely pissed.
"What were you saying?"
"I will make you my slave, peasant! I will make sure you pay the price. I will have you kill everyone you hold dear with your own hands!" She shouted, and a crazed smile was painted on her face. Her pride didn't allow her to bow down.
Her position and bloodline didn't allow her to feel fear.
But now… She would come to learn that speaking ill of those connected to Draco, the monster who had taken the world by storm and is moving to do the same for the whole universe…
Wasn't the best choice.
Azeroth just stood by the side with folded hands. He didn't stop Palkus; he was just going to enjoy the show.
'What a waste.' Looking at the angry youth, he shook his head at the loss of such a fine piece.
The countess was the most beautiful woman he had seen in Portalia by far, after his wives and daughters.
He would have done anything to get her. However, he would be lying if he said he also wasn't angry at the moment.
"Farewell." He said.
