Chapter 204: World Devouring!
High Heaven was in turmoil. The emperor of the ascendant sword empire used every method he thought was possible to ask for the reason behind the tower's disappearance, but he got no answer, not even a hint.
But he didn't have to guess for a long time, as only a few minutes passed after the tower vanished before Draco appeared in the sky.
"Who are you?!" The moment the emperor sensed Draco's appearance, he got out of his castle and went towards him to question him.
"Me? Just a passerby." Draco joked.
"You dare joke around with the emperor? State your purpose or die!" The Emperor shouted.
"Hmm, now that is very rude." Draco stopped laughing as his aura exploded, scaring the living soul out of everybody within the city and straight away killing anybody below the Lord realm.
"I am starting to wonder how long your world has lasted before it gets destroyed if I didn't come." Draco thought out loud, his spear's blade facing the head of the emperor.
"Oh great one, this lowly one is blind and failed to see Mount Tai. Please forgive my rudeness and spare my empire." The Emperor begged.
"How low of you." Draco shook his head.
"An emperor begging for his life? You do not deserve such a title." Draco stated.
"Huh? I-" Before the emperor could speak another word, his head, which was intact just a split second ago, slid from its place and fell to the ground before he followed it.
"It'd be better for you to remain silent." Draco said, his figure mysteriously appearing behind the falling emperor, his head that was holding his spear, outstretched.
"Now, how should I deal with this world." Draco looked bellow him at the city that had corpses all over its streets from the sudden release of Draco's aura.
The remaining survivors, who were at Lord-level or above, came out of their estates and fled in all directions, thinking that they had a chance at escaping Draco's slaughter.
"Seems like I will have to get creative." Since it was the first world he was going to destroy, it would leave a bad taste in Draco's mouth if he just straight out destroyed it, so he wanted to slowly destory it and take his time enjoying the show.
"Host, I got just the right skill for that." Zero appeared next to Draco and looked at the city below here, a cold smile on her face.
"Oh?" Draco looked at his assistant while wondering what she would suggest. He was quite pleased with the way she had done things in the recent past and was looking forward to what she had in mind.
"It's a skill called {Chaos Infusion}." She said, raising her head to stare right into Draco's eyes. Draco could see the evil in them as he smiled. This was how he wanted his tool to be like, Ruthless and creative.
"Very well." Having a connection with Zero allowed Draco to access everything about her, including her thoughts, so he immediately got the idea she was playing with.
Draco's spear vanished as he stretched both hands to the side, a crazed smile on his face.
{Chaos Infusion} he called.
*Fwshh*
The clouds of High Heaven turned dark and the atmosphere quickly changed as thunder struck the ground repeatedly and rain fell heavily.
From the dark clouds, strange swirls were formed and from them, tiny little strings descended slowly, aiming to infiltrate the world, and in but a few minutes, they achieved their goal.
All around High Heaven, such tiny little strings were appearing and following the same pattern.
Draco watched all of this in amazement, as the scene he had just created was pretty mezmerizing.
However, he knew that something better was waiting for them, and so he waited. His senses covered the entire world and he stood there in a lotus position while Zero was standing in her place.
The first day passed, and Draco watched how in some places space just cracked to swallow entire towns of mortals, and then thunder struck on top of an entire sect, wiping it from existence. Somewhere else had a volcano that was dormant for millions of years erupt, drowning an entire kingdom with it.
Such events were happening all around the world as monks started traveling their cities and preaching that this was the end of the world and that one should repent.
The second day came and this time it was the temperature that started acting crazy; someplace it was hot enough to burn a person in a few seconds, and other places it straight away frozen people in their places.
The random catastrophes of the first day were still occurring all around the world, and this went to further speed up the process of the world cleansing.
The third day arrived and High Heaven finally couldn't take it anymore; it started cracking slowly as horrific earthquakes caused the casualties of the world to finally cross half the population.
And then the final day came. The world became barren as it only looked like a dead asteroid in the sky, all of its previous vibrance and colors lost forever.
Draco, who was the author of this world's death, finally got up from his seat.
"Is it ready to be devoured?" He asked.
"Yes, host." Zero, who was next to him, replied, her gaze lost on the beauty of the process this world went through.
A world devourer had to go through many phases to finally usurp a planet, and it definitely wasn't easy.
Some even took years to finish it as they found a hard time defeating the celestials. Then they have to destroy the tower, and this was the trickiest of all, as the tower is only destroyed as fast as you ascend it—something nobody understood but this was the way the Great Mother did its job.
Draco, who had flawlessly ascended the tower, however, found no problem in such a process, and now...
{Devouring}
He had managed to destroy his first world and take his first step towards the next tier.
