Chapter 18: Going To The Dungeon!
"You shittin' me!" The Emperor of Great Devania received a message from one of his subordinates as he opened his eyes wide and cursed his fate.
"It appeared already? Why? Dammit, I was about to end this new masterpiece of mine, and now Mother is going to force me to go and conquer it! Fuck!" He who was supposed to be the king of the greatest and sole empire of this continent, he who was supposed to be the hero and savior of humanity, was nothing but a son trying to appease his mother and her wishes.
Unlucky for him, he had a very greedy mother.
*Boom*
"Son! It appeared! Haha! It appeared! Finally! After how many years?
I need to hurry up fast; I gotta snatch before someone else does! You stay here, I will go!" A young woman of celestial beauty who looked the same as her son but was a female version opened the door forcefully and entered.
She was wearing a black dress that spoke of her wealth and also her great physical proportions, She was beaming with happiness as she jumped and laughed, If anyone knew how old she was, they might just go crazy thinking how such a mythically ancient existence jumped around like an 8-year-old child...
"Who called me Ancient?!" A roar rambled through the entire castle. Indeed, a woman's intuition is horrific, especially an old- I mean powerful woman such as Empress Dowager Devania...
And indeed, the empire is named after this beauty.
"Mother, relax; no one called you, an- I mean of... age." The Emperor stood up and directly teleported near his mother, such an act was but a joke for such a powerhouse.
He appeased his mother and held her least; she forgets everything and searches for this non-existent(?) being who she felt called her this... forbidden term.
"Hmph, Anyway, don't stop me; I'm going." She pouted her cheeks and put her arms akimbo, turned her head, and said.
"NO! I absolutely cannot let any harm befall you! I will go th- I will send trustworthy subordinates to get it for you in the shortest time possible." He said.
"Trustworthy?" She raised an eyebrow.
"yeah, anyway, don't worry, there is nothing that can go wrong." he responded.
"NO! I will go, don't stop me, there is no one who can hurt me besides you anyway, I am already an EX-Rank being! and don't even think of sending your maid harem, those cuties cannot go to such a dangerous place."
"Ehhem! Then I will tell Old Man David to go." he coughed and said, knowing his mother will finally stop retorting.
"Ah... Mhm." she blushed and turned around.
"Phew, dodged a bomb. Hopefully, this will all go well." he said as he turned back to his masterpiece.
--------------------------
Similarly to the celestial academy and the empire, many other clans, companies, and agencies sent their powers to the forest, the heart of the forest, which could allow one to become the ruler of the forest and its resources.
This wasn't something anyone from this world could ignore.
Draco finally came to terms with what happened and calmed down enough after admonishing himself for being too hasty and thinking something that could have gotten him in trouble.
He promised himself to never think he was a chosen one and started carefully planning his next steps.
'Now that the forest is getting... rowdy, I could assume that not only those beings called the ancients could pose a threat to me in the future but even others from the outside. I don't know much but my [Intuition Surge] tells me that danger that could kill me and opportunities that could propel me to new heights are all around me or are coming very soon.' he thought.
'I won't stall any longer, I will go to the dungeon right now and create new spells on the way.'
He immediately acted as he turned in the direction of the dungeon from the memories of the orcs and walked towards it, it wasn't that far and he wanted to train on the way.
The orcs have been given a mission directly from a trusted subordinate of the king, and on their way to the goblin village, they encountered a dungeon.
It was a cave in a valley close to the river. It gave an eerie feeling to the group of orcs, and it had a swirling black foam door or portal.
Draco and the orcs weren't sure what it was, only that it led directly to the dungeon. However, Draco was sure it was a portal.
"I didn't notice before because I was quite...
enchanted with my progress; however, now that I have come to it, I have to say that this world is really a fantasy world." He said as he looked at the colorful sea that swam in the air in front of him, his [Elemental Vision] allowed him to see the elements and he had to say it was quite a mesmerizing sight, one he could look at for days on end without getting bored; however, he had no time for that.
The elements were so abundant in here that they formed multiple colorful strings of what seemed liquid but was more like air.
What was even more abundant than the others was what he assumed to be mana and the spatial element because they were the only ones he absorbed continuously.
However, a few other elements turned around him without getting absorbed; they should be fate, opportunity, and darkness. The former two were not elements but more like concepts; however, they also had their own manifestations that he could see with his physique.
"I feel more in tune with the elements now, Let's try to create the first spell." He said as he called Darkness, he looked at the elements turning around him, heard his call, and ran to his hand, The mana in his body and in the atmosphere followed as they merged to form a [Ball Of Darkness].
