Chapter 159: First Tribulation!
When Draco entered the tower, he found himself within a white realm.
Up down, right left, everywhere he looked, white boundaries similar to his [Endless Nightmare].
All he could se was the system panel in front of him telling him if he wanted to skip the first 90 floors or not, seeing as he is already an Origin Emperor.
Draco simply skipped them, not caring, and a system panel appeared once again.
[You can start the 91st floor trial, also known as the first tribulation, anytime, host.]
"Zero." Draco called and his reliable partner appeared next to him.
"Why did I stop getting quests since you leveled up?" He asked.
"Ah, you see, Host. Most of the quests you end up piercing through easily, thus, the system was made in a way where missions only appear when you are struggling, which failed to happen all this time." Zero replied, slightly anxious that, in her complete and perfect form, she was still not as useful as she hoped to be to her Host.
"Then how can I evolve you enough if I don't get quests? If I remember correctly, I only got around 5 quests since the start." he said.
"You're right, Host." Zero replied, being reminded once more that even without her, Draco would still reach where he was.
"Look, I need you to be in the most optimal form. You do something about yourself and find a way for me to level you all the way to the max." Draco told her. The reason he wanted Zero to evolve as fast as possible was mostly because of the informations she could provide.
Most of the memories he absorbed had unreliable sources, incomplete information, or were straight away false. Thus, if he could make sure that such a thing would never happen with a reliable tool, then why wouldn't he?
"Very well, Host. Instead of the Quest system, I shall reward you for every milestone you reach or achievement, and you can stack them on top of each other and, in the end, choose from set options the best rewards you want. What do you think of this?" She thought for a while and after thorough calculations, she came up with this surefire way to rid Draco of all of his worries.
"Good." Draco nodded.
"Let's start the first tribulation." he ordered.
[Please choose the Origin Law you want to use: [1. Fate(Authority - Unable to choose], [2. Blue Lava], [3. Sinful Chaos], [Precise Eye]...]
"[Sinful Chaos]" Draco chose and he watched as the realm started changing into endless planes with a a starry sky, as if he were standing on top of a flat world in the middle of space.
[The first tribulation, the Test of Offense, will start in 15 minutes... Would you like to skip?]
"Begin." Draco skipped the 15-minute preparatory time and went completely serious when he felt the oppressive air around him.
[Wave 1 of 1000 Starts Now!]
What Draco felt was an army randomly spawning in front of him and coming directly at him, every single opponent an Origin Emperor with control over an Original Origin Law.
"So this tribulation is a direct test of whoever owns the True Origin Laws, huh?" Draco pondered.
The Origin Emperors in front of him had a mind of their own; they weren't dumb NPCs coming straight at him, so he had to be cautious.
However, one thing he noticed is that, they were limited to attacking him directly up front, no one attacking from any other side.
"I see how it is." He thought.
"Well, isn't that simple." he smiled.
[Original Overseer of Chaos] he spelled.
The starry sky fragmented and cracked, giving way for the chaotic entity to gaze upon the incoming army, disintegrating them with but a thought.
Draco wanted to Devour them, however, they disappeared completely, not giving him the chance.
"Too bad." He shook his head.
The Overseer didn't leave, waiting for the second wave to come.
[Wave 2 of 1000 Starts Now!]
The second wave was slightly different. The army was coming from Draco's front and back, however, they also didn't last long, once again disappearing without him devouring them.
[Wave 3 of 1000 Starts Now!]
This time, they came from his right.
[Wave 4 of 1000 Starts Now!]
and now they came from all sides.
The next few waves started coming from all around him, putting him within a globe of enemies, coming from his sides, underground, and from the sky. but before they even had the chance to launch a single attack, they were gazed down to the seventh floor of hell.
[Wave 10 of 1000 Starts Now!]
This round was different. There wasn't an army of Origin Emperors, no. there was only a single enemy, but he was special.
"Ah, uhm, I can talk? Well, hello there, it's been a while since an Origin Emperor reached this wave." He waved at Draco, a jolly expression on his face.
"Not the type to joke, huh?" He slowly started walking.
He was holding a golden spear that was in the shape of an eastern dragon, its blade coming out of the dragon's mouth.
*Fwshhh*
He spun the spear around, causing heavy wind to launch in all directions.
*Slash*
He slammed it to the ground and approached Draco menacingly, his golden armor clinging all the way.
Draco looked at him and up at the overseer.
"You sit this one out." He ordered it as he cracked his neck and arms.
"I've never had the chance to fight a true spear expert." Draco stated, summoning his Chaos Spear, as he liked to name it.
"Most of those I fought weren't good enough." His opponent smiled and said.
While Draco stood on his place, the opponent walked towards him meanacingly, then he started jogging and then running, and in a second, he turned into a blur.
*BOOOOOM*
Draco held his spear to his upper right, blocking the slash of the spear expert.
"Well, aren't you quite fast."
