Chapter 148: Return!
"THIS SHALL NOT BE THE END!!" The realm's voice was once again heard as the hand was nowhere to be seen, and the Overseer looking at this disappeared as suddenly as it came.
*Huff* *Huff*
The cowwoman heaved in relief as her barrier was cancelled and the dark clouds cleared just enough for them to see the commander with tears in his eyes.
The white flower still had the swirly white sphere around it, and the commander's hands pierced right through that to hold it.
Everybody watched him closely as he floated down with a smile on his face.
"I see you've survived. Good good. What a nice day this is." For a second, the commander's attitude changed, as he was genuinely happy that they could survive, as their deaths would have some consequences he wasn't ready for, especially Draco's.
The commander then scanneed the area for its destruction and then looked at the army that was waiting far away for them and back at the group.
"Let us move." and thus his words marked the conclusion of the expedition.
------------------
Portalia, Draco's Continent, Celestial Academy.
Within a luxurious suite reserved only for the top students, a young man with caramel skin, black hair, and brown eyes was clutching his pillow while crouching on his bed, his head buried as if he had a stomach ache.
"WHO?" he screamed, asking a question no one knew the answers to.
"WHO DID THIS TO YOU?" He cried.
"WHY? Why is life so unfair? Why did it have to be you of all people? Why, brother Marco, why?" He suddenly calmed down as his tears flew down to flood the pillow. He twitched and twitched as his voice turned hoarse from how long he had cried and screamed.
But, what did he have to do with Marco? And was it that, Marco?
"Your smile used to lighten my day; you were the light that brought me out of slavery and into a world full of joy and happiness... What happened that you became so... manipulative?" He cried and cried as he remembered the smile of his dearest friend, brother, and savior.
Out of all those closest to Marco, there was only one boy who had a history of being a slave.
It was Abdo, the moonlight of the group.
"Why didn't they notice? Weren't you dear to them? Why is it only me that noticed your change?" He asked, thinking about Marco's fiancee and his other friends who were with him to this day but didn't notice the molecular changes that made him cosmically more ruthless than he ever was.
"The pure soul that cared for those close and strangers to him. WHAT HAPPENED TO IT!" He screamed, nobody hearing him as the academy ensured full privacy for all of its students.
"When did this happen? When did it begin?" He asked, and nobody answered him.
Suddenly, he got up as he looked straight in front of him at the plain wall of his bedroom.
"Wasn't it when you returned from the forest? Yes! IT WAS THEN!" He shouted, finally figuring it out.
"Who did it then? Just who? I swear... I SWEAR I WILL MAKE YOU EXPERIENCE THE WORST OF HELL!" He shouted with all his might as his anger almost materialized, however, he was too weak for such a phenomenon, being only a D-Rank and just allowed to officially join the crew.
"My my, what a pitiful soul you are." Out of nowhere, a soothing voice that made Abdo's heart warm reverberated inside his room.
"w- Who's there?!" He shouted as he threw his pillow where he guessed the voice came from, Unfortunately, the owner of the voice wasn't physically here.
"Worry not, dear. I'm only here to help." said the owner of the voice.
"Don't screw with me! I won't accept anyone's help; I will be taking that bastard's life with my own hands." he said.
"You will never be able to." the voice said.
"How do you know." Abdo's expression turned annoyed.
"Because I know who it was, and it's a monster not even the Emperor of this continent was able to compare to." She said.
"Our Emperor?" Abdo's eyes opened wide as he couldn't believe what was just said. Their emperor was called the Anomaly for a reason.
"I can help you." The voice said when she saw the face of Abdo, who started second-guessing himself.
"What can you do?" He asked.
"I can give power and answers." she said.
-------------------
In the Cursed Forest, a massive city was built around the hearts of undead workers, and beasts of all kinds could be seen running around everybody doing their job.
This was the new empire that was formed as a home for Draco's subordinates.
A fenrir could be seen running around the medieval streets made out of concrete, the city that completely followed the fantasy-like medieval style of houses was large enough to house the citizens of the entire continent and still in the work, but an EX-Rank monster like the fenrir could easily cross that distance.
Running till the core, where the heart was situated, the Fenrir stopped just outside the dark Altar that was formed to protect the heart.
"My Lord, the first batch of Gomens that was sent to the Demon continent is coming. I heard the mission was successful and the heads of the remaining Sovereign Demons of The 7 Deadly Sins will be brought to you in as little as 1 month with the leviathan's as a gift." The fenrir spoke calmly in the direction of the altar with his head bowed down.
Suddenly, the closed doors of the altar opened widely, as if a strong wind had pushed them from the inside.
Draco, in his Chaos Anomaly form, came out to face the Fenrir with a smile on his face.
Draco walked all the way to the fenrir, and the latter got into position for Draco to ride him.
"Well, isn't that good news? We've finally conquered the 6 continents."
