Chapter 118 Trapped?
118 Trapped?
"What!!!" Zeras stood in shock looking at the dark stretch of ink right outside the forest. Palpitating waves could be seen at its surface extremely threatening and making his hair rise on their head.
"The Malevolent Sea..." Zeras screamed out at the same as Princess Diana herself.
He immediately skidded to a stop causing him to kick a stone into the sea and Zeras stood there shocked looking as the stone made a sizzling sound and was immediately correded to nothing before it could enter deeply into the sea.
One thing was sure, he would be immediately reduced to bones if he dared stay too deep into the sea.
The sound of thunderous footsteps echoed loudly from behind him as Zeras turned rapidly.
A surprised gasp escaped the lips of every Humban present as they looked at the palpitating waves just behind him and they all immediately stopped their forward movement and even took a step back.
If there was one person who had the most fear and knew well the terror of the Malevolent Sea, then it was the Humbans.
"I want to see where you would run to again this time, treacherous humans..."
"You shouldn't have stopped. Come on, keep running..."
Zeras ignored the group of barking Humbans as he asked the princess:
"How much of your cultivation have you regained back..."
"Only enough to be at the Early Star rank stage..." Princess Diana replied. This was the first time she had ever felt so weak and helpless before.
The chains binding her figure were used to stop her from escaping but most importantly were used to sap away all her Mana turning her into an ordinary mortal.
She had only been able to harness back a Mana at the Early Star rank level.
'Then fighting is out of the option...' Zeras thought to himself looking at the group of Humbans, each with cultivation greater than his. Only one thing would result from fighting them and that is death.
A 2.4-meter Humban suddenly exited the group as he walked to the front coming to stay ten metres away from Zeras.
"I believe you can see you're completely trapped here, human, and there's no way of you escaping sure death today. But I admire your courage and therefore willing to give you a way out..." The Humban said causing Zeras to raise an eyebrow.
"To be honest, we do not need you. The Shaman only asked for her and that is who we are after. So leave the princess to us and we will forgive your atrocity. Or you can both get captured and you'll surely be killed..." The Humban said his voice dripping with murderous intent with the last words making clear to Zeras knew he wasn't joking at all.
Heck, he knew they would have already killed him if not because of their fear of the Malevolent Sea.
"Zeras you've tried your best as an EIA official. You can let me go with them. Besides I'm the princess of the Amazonian Family. I'm sure that old Humban would dare not go too far. So... Concede to their request." Princess Diana said.
"Then it seems, I have no choice..." Zeras muttered before grabbing onto the hands of Princess Diana.
"I would never abandon you, princess..." Zeras said staring into her golden-colored eyes with a reassuring smile before turning to look at the gigantic Humban as he flashed a mocking smirk at him before suddenly turning back with speed as he blitzed towards the Malevolent Sea.
"Come back you suicidal fool..." The Humban screamed out to him in anger as he jumped forward trying to grab Zera's figure but he was unsuccessful and Zeras immediately slipped into the Malevolent Sea and quickly disappeared within.
The Humban was shocked and speechless as he looked at the wave of the Malevolent Sea that was formed when Zeras entered into the Sea that was quickly settling.
He immediately turned back as he dusted his hands, dragged his trousers upwards, and walked back toward the direction of the settlement while whistling a happy tune.
All the other Humbans followed after him and they all cleared away from the scene.
Why?
Because they were pretty sure about the fate of anyone entering into the Malevolent Sea and that was sure demise.

50 minutes later...
The five officers finally arrived in front of the Malevolent Sea as they looked at the dark stretch of blank ink even though they didn't dare to enter it.
"Damn it..." Officer Halo roared angrily as he threw a punch at the ground causing cracks to emerge as the floor immediately sank in by a meter.
"Now everything is gone..."
"Not yet... Zeras EIA watch has been linked to my sensory device and it's still shining a green light which could only mean one thing..." Officer Arroyo said as he he stretched out a triangular device and the others could clearly see the green light indicating Zeras.
"That means he's still alive..." Officer Emmaus said.
"But how..." Officer Zurin said looking at the Malevolent Sea.
"I don't know either, but that doesn't matter... The tracker of Zeras EIA watch is in the hands of the EIA base. I'm giving a call back to the base to immediately send a spaceship to wherever Zera's tracker indicated. We'll be getting back both of them at all costs..." Officer Arroyo said with determination as he gave a call to the EIA base and five spaceships were immediately sent out in the direction where Zeras was indicated by the tracker.
-- -- --
The water of the Malevolent Sea was extremely corroding as Zera's body flared with energy causing a circular dome of energy to surround both his figure and Princess Diana's protecting them from the water but Zeras could still see even the barrier he formed was being corroded.
"It wouldn't last long. At most a 30 seconds and we'll be reduced to bones..." Princess Diana said her voice completely hopeless.
Zera's eyes also narrowed as he realized that truly was the truth and locked at Princess Diana.
"Um princess, can I ask you for a favor?" Zeras said as his eyes steeled in determination.
"If it is about the Punishment, then you can forget it. It is useless if we'll be reduced to bones soon anyway..." Princess Diana said.
"Well, that's a promise... But that's not what I wanted to ask" Zeras said as he watched the water slowly seeping in.
"Oh, what's it?" Princess Diana asked curiously looking at him.
"It's simple really. Just help me keep my secret..." Zeras said with a smile as Princess Diana looked at him strangely.
"Ok, then. Although it'll still be useless in the end..." She said looking at the black water that was spilling over.
"Good. I hope you keep your promise in the end princess..." Zeras said out loud before he slowly closed his eyes as he dropped the princess on the ground.
'Activate Absolute Morph...' Zeras muttered to himself as he closed his eyes and focused, using the remaining points of energy within him to forcefully activate the genetic ability instead of his Mana. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
The technique immediately activated as Zeras closed his eyes and focused on an image, the image of a creature he had seen belonging to the Malevolent Sea.
Princess Diana moved closer to the barrier as she looked at the cracks that started enveloping the barrier before suddenly the dark inky water started pouring in and quickly reached her.
"Zeras..." She screamed out in fear as she felt a slight pain on the part of her leg where the water touched causing a sizzling steam to rise from it but as she turned back to Zeras, she was shocked and her eyes shone in horror as a gigantic maw of a creature covered the entirety of her vision and she was swallowed in a single gulp.
