Chapter 795: This better be something important!

While numerous individuals were battling for the remaining fragment of the Tree of Tate's core, Sinon, Lara, along with a group that included Neon, Lumi, Niamh, and a few others, finally arrived in front of a familiar planet concealed behind an invisible barrier.

Sinon turned back. With a heavy sigh, he hurriedly counted the number of people who followed him and Lara after parting ways with Bia and Nox. But he blinked.

"Huh? Three individuals are missing."

Lara patted his shoulder and shook her head, noticing the deep dark circles under his eyes. They had all been out of sorts since they had to fight nonstop on their journey to reach their home planet.

"You just noticed? It's Lily, Han, and his wife. They separated from us a while ago near the Sacred Divine Land."

Sinon scratched his head.

"Yeah, just remember. I need sleep. I'm going to collapse if we fight again... Jian asked us to send everyone back. I just hope the low head count won't put us in danger. They're all under Kyle's dad's protection."

He glanced back and entered the barrier around the blue planet. Fortunately, the area around the planet wasn't crowded with many other planets, except for one that had long been conquered by the dark side. So, their planet was safe for the time being.

Neon smiled at Sinon's words. Well, his father was going to make a scene about the fact that Kyle didn't come back. As for the others, the old man knew they were old enough to take care of themselves.

He and everyone else quickly followed behind Sinon, followed by Lara.

The invisible barrier they all stepped into shimmered and rippled as they gradually disappeared from sight, one by one.

The moment they crossed the planet's boundary, all the old inhabitants above (S)-rank felt their presence, as they didn't hide it. Kyle's older brother Ray, his father Ohan, and King Istalion, were the first to abandon their tasks to investigate.

The planet's air was clean, with peace prevailing everywhere, a stark contrast to the bloody war raging everywhere else.

Sinon and the group of people following him had just approached the nearest city visible on the horizon when Ohan's figure clad in a white robe arrived before them. The old man greeted them with a warm smile.

"You are all back already? It's only been a few months..."

His aged eyes darted around as if searching for a familiar face. He spotted Neon and nodded at his second son before continuing to look around.

"Where's my youngest son and daughter-in-law? I asked him to meet me with Yue the last time he contacted me. He didn't return? I want to see him. He had the audacity to get married on another planet!"

Sinon, who was seriously contemplating finding a good inn in the city and sleeping for a full day to regain the energy he had lost from battling the dark side nonstop over the past few months, glanced at him with a solemn expression.

"Ah, sir, Kyle has disappeared again. We don't know when he will show up."

He didn't mention anything else. That was enough. He knew Neon would fill the latter in on everything else.

Ohan's expression soured. He had wanted to showcase his newfound strength to Kyle. He looked a lot more muscular, radiating a powerful aura, all thanks to the treasures Kyle had left him, Ray, and Neon.

He sighed and rubbed his temples.

"His disappearing acts never seem to end. What about my daughter-in-law? My older sons haven't even found a decent match, but the youngest, who has already taken the plunge and tied the knot, won't even come back to introduce his wife."

He grumbled under his breath.

"I wanted to give Yue plenty of gifts to welcome her into the family... but Kyle, that little rascal, had to go and get married far away from home. We could have arranged a grand wedding for them here..."

Neon chuckled and gestured for Lara to take Sinon, who seemed to be dozing off in mid-air, away to find a good place to rest. He quickly dragged his grumbling father away. Ohan wasn't finished yet, but he had no choice but to swallow his grievance. The two separated from the group, but they had just moved toward their family home when Ray's panting figure appeared.

Ray's beaming eyes scanned the surroundings, seemingly searching for a familiar face behind the two. However, his smile faded in similar disappointment when he saw no one but his father and Neon.

"Did Kyle not come back?"

Neon felt sour. He had also left the planet. Why didn't they ask if he was alright? He rolled his eyes but couldn't protest since Kyle hadn't returned in many years.

"He didn't. I will tell you what happened. Let's go back home first. There's a lot I need to share with you two."

Everyone left the place. Only then did King Istalion dare to reveal himself. He was the reigning king of the human race, but Ohan held more authority and support than him. This had been the case ever since this old man broke through to the pseudo-divine rank and established his

own academy.

Istalion straightened his dark golden robe and clicked his tongue.

"The amount of treasures he eats daily is as if they are sprouting right in his garden! With that many treasures, even I would have achieved the pseudo-divine rank!"

His expression turned bitter.

"Damn it! Why don't I have a good son who would shower me with so many treasures? The ones I have are all useless."

He vanished back to his castle to wait for his son, Lucas, who had returned with Sinon and Lara, ready to coax some treasures out of Lucus when he would back home.

Meanwhile, Sinon landed in front of a massive city gate alongside Lara. As soon as they stepped into the boisterous city, the others with Sinon and Lara dispersed in all directions. They needed to wait for Neon to inform Ohan about everything, and then they had to alert their people to be prepared for the dark side, that could attack at any moment. The entire universe was in chaos, and they couldn't afford to be complacent.

Sinon glanced at their fading figures one last time and yawned while surveying the elves around him. It appeared they had entered the elven city.

"I am going to find a good place to rest-"

His words were cut short as he and Lara were surrounded by a crowd of elves who welcomed them with wide smiles.

The crowd had recognized them, and how could they not? All those who had fought to save the planet about a decade ago from the monster lords and the dark evil beings that attacked their homes were renowned.

Lara and Sinon were among the young guardians who stood as the pillars of their planet and

its hope.

Their portraits were displayed in all the academies as the heroes who saved the planet, and now they served as role models for every young person on the planet.

Sinon coughed as the elves invited them to their homes, restaurants, and hotels to stay and eat for free. Some of them even offered gifts. The respect and awe in their eyes was clear. Lara

gave him a glance and vanished.

"Wait!"

He shouted, unsure whether to laugh or cry. She just escaped the crowd. He sighed.

"I just want to sleep."

With a blink, he too disappeared from the crowd, leaving them all disappointed. His figure

appeared inside a small hotel, and he shushed the person at the counter, who gasped upon seeing his face. Before he could get a room, his communication crystal buzzed in his mind

space. "The hell!"

Sinon cursed loudly, frustrated and unsure what grudge the universe held against him that

prevented him from sleeping at all! It was true he didn't need much sleep due to his power, but he hadn't managed to rest a single moment since Kyle vanished! Even though sleep wasn't a necessity for him, he was sure he would collapse if he didn't get some soon! Grumbling under his breath, he retrieved the communication crystal and stepped aside to answer.

"Who is it? This better be something important!"

His voice was loud and clear, but he fell silent the moment Carcel's voice echoed from the

crystal. The man's tone was sharp, making him sweat.

"Oh? Are you busy?"

He chuckled and wiped his brow.

"Of course not! What's going on, bro?"

Carcel remained silent for a moment. He wanted to reach out to Jian, Nine, or Yue, but none of

them were answering, so he decided to contact Sinon instead.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"It's about the mass of energy."

He began, and Sinon's expression immediately turned serious. He didn't interrupt as Carcel

continued.

"Mia and I were assisting a planet in the vicinity, so we were the first to notice when the

shield around the mass of energy began to tremble. The guards James stationed to protect the shield are in a state of panic. No one is certain what's happening inside the shield. There hasn't been any movement since the Forsaken Land crumbled. I wanted you to inform the others since Mia and I won't be able to reach out for a while."
