Chapter 49: 49 : Creating A Force
Bridgemoor City, Audaz District, Origin Restaurant.
On the fourth floor of the Origin Restaurant, in his office, Felix sat behind the desk with a smirk on his face. He was now rich, with over five million gold coins in his possession.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot, but system, isn't it about time the mission is complete?" Felix said to the system.
"Host, what mission is that?" the system asked, sounding confused.
"What do you mean, which mission? Of course, the mission that states I have to earn five million gold coins in one month. I've already completed it, why haven't I seen any notification for the completion of the mission?" Felix said in a speechless tone.
"No, Host, you haven't completed the mission yet," the system said.
"What do you mean? Haven't I already earned five million?" Felix was puzzled.
"Host, it seems you didn't listen to the details of the mission very well. Let me explain it to you simply. The mission really means that you have to earn five million gold coins in a month from the dishes that the restaurant sells to customers," the system said.
"So you mean the four million gold coins compensation I received from Sigurd and Seraphine is not part of the mission?" Felix asked.
"Yes, Host, the money extorted is not part of the mission," the system said.
"What do you mean extort? I was just asking for compensation, okay, that's not extortion," Felix retorted.
"But can't you make an exception? I already have a million gold coins, huh?" Felix said softly to the system.
"No, Host, you have to complete the mission panel. Besides, with how the restaurant is earning five million gold coins in a month, it's a piece of cake," the system said.
"Damn, I was so excited for nothing," Felix muttered through gritted teeth.
He had thought that extorting two million gold coins from Sigurd and three million from Seraphine Netherfrost would be enough to complete the mission.
Taking a deep breath, he paused to collect his thoughts.
The system was correct - with the restaurant's current popularity, earning five million gold coins in a month shouldn't be too difficult.
Plus, he had already earned over two million gold coins from the restaurant.
Felix shook his head,he have plenty of time to complete the mission.
The restaurant was finally on the right track, with no major issues for now. As long as everything continued to operate normally, everything would be fine.
Plus, with the added protection of the newbie Tier 9 Forbidden Knight in Bridgemoor City, Felix felt completely safe. All that was left was to increase his personal strength and put his plans into action.
---------------------------
In the Edel District of Bridgemoor City, inside the Morningstar Mansion, it was already late at night. The three huge silver moons hung high in the sky, surrounded by twinkling stars that shone like diamonds.
Inside the mansion Felix was in a large study room with Trinity, Gwendolyn, Zephyr, Brixton, and Nixie. They were all gathered around a table with a detailed map of Brigdemoor City on the table.
Felix studied the map, his eyes narrowing with a cold glint. He was surprised by the size of Bridgemoor City, considering it was just one of the most remote and smallest cities in the Kingdom.
"Big bro, why did you gather us all here?" Nixie's voice interrupted Felix's thoughts.
Felix looked around at the puzzled faces of his companions.
He put his hands in his pockets and asked, "What do you guys think about our current strength?" They all looked down, pondering the question.
After a moment, Trinity spoke up, "Our current strength is insignificant. Even though we have all become Mana Cultivators, we are still weak."
Felix nodded in agreement and turned to the others.
"Big bro, just like what big sis said our current strength is pretty weak right now. There are a ton of powerful Mana Cultivators in Brigdemoor city who could take us out without breaking a sweat,"
Felix nodded in acknowledged. " Just like what you guys said, our strength is utterly weak. And on top of that, we're running a restaurant that we need to protect."
Felix continued, "Even though there are six of us who have become Mana Cultivators, we're still pretty weak. What can six weak Mana Cultivators do if we come up against a strong enemy in the future?"
Gwendolyn asked, " Then what do you suggest?"
Felix grinned and said, "We need to build our own force."
Everyone was surprised by Felix's idea. They hadn't expected him to come up with such a plan.
Felix explained, "As Mana Cultivators, we'll get stronger over time. But we need our own force to handle simple tasks, stay informed about what's happening in the city, and better protect ourselves. I won't go into details but having our own force has a lot of advantages."
All of them sank into deep thought, pondering over Felix words and they all agreed with Felix. Having their own force have a lot of advantages and also many benefits.
But Gwendolyn raised a concern, "Creating our own force won't be easy. It'll take a lot of time and resources."
Felix reassured them, "I know it won't be easy, but once we get past the initial challenges, things will get easier. We have the restaurant to bring in money every month " Felix smiled," We also have the system " but he didn't say that aloud.
Felix didn't come out with such a thought like creating his own force in a whimp. He had been thinking about it for a while and had always planned to do so since he first got the system.
However, his strength and circumstances at the time didn't allow for it. Now that his foundation is more stable and he, along with the others, have become Mana Cultivators, creating a force of their own is more feasible.
Plus, with the help of the system, the difficulty will be significantly reduced.
"Okay, so what's the plan, big guy?" Zephyr asked eagerly.
Felix smiled and pointed to the map. "I have different plans for everyone," he said as everyone gathered around to look at the map.
Felix then turned to Zephyr and said, "Zephyr, this is what I want you to do."
Zephyr looked at Felix with a serious expression, waiting for his instructions.
"I want you to take control of the underworld of Brigdemoor City," Felix said.
Zephyr's eyes widened in shock, and Trinity and the others had similar reactions.
"How can I do that with my current strength?" Zephyr asked, taking a deep breath.
Felix shook his head. "I'm not expecting you to take control immediately. You'll have to do it step by step, and I have the perfect place for you to start."
"Where?" Zephyr inquired.
"The slums," Felix replied with a smile.
"The slums?" Zephyr looked confused.
"Yes, the slums where we first stayed. It's one of the largest districts in Brigdemoor City, and the Fire Gang and Smoke used to control a small part of it. I'm sure their territories have now fallen into the hands of other gangs after they were destroyed by us," Felix explained.
"And with your current strength, taking control of both the territories of the Fire Gang and the Smoke Gang is easy," Felix added confidently.
Zephyr paused for a moment, considering Felix's words. If taking control of the previous territories of both the Fire Gang and the Smoke Gang was what he had to do now, then it seemed quite manageable for him.
"Good," Felix nodded approvingly. "After you have secured control of these territories, you can begin expanding your influence to other areas in the slums. But the first thing you must do is cultivate a network of information personnel. We need to have our ears and eyes everywhere in Bridgemoor City to stay ahead of any developments."
"Understood, big bro," Zephyr nodded in agreement.
"As for how to take control of the slums, I trust you know what to do. You must act swiftly and decisively, taking control within three months, and if someone stands in your way, you know what to do" Felix said coldly, locking eyes with Zephyr.
Zephyr solemnly nodded, understanding Felix words.
Turning to Trinity and Brixton, Felix addressed them with the same seriousness. "Trinity, Brixton, here's what I need you two to do."
Both Trinity and Brixton looked to Felix, awaiting his instructions.
"I want you two to go to the Adventures Guild and register yourselves as adventurers," Felix instructed.
"Wait, you want us to become adventurers?" Trinity asked, puzzled.
"Yes, I want you both to become adventurers. And once you do, don't keep a low profile. Become well-known in the Adventurer District by raiding dungeons regularly. Aim for at least three dungeons every ten days, ensuring success each time. Start with dungeons that match your current strength level.
And once you rank up and meet the requirements, establish an adventurer team quickly," Felix explained, laying out the plan for their next steps.
" Understood "Felix gazed at Trinity and Brixton.
Both of them nodded in understanding.
" Big bro why do you want us not to keep a low profile and instead we should be high profile as possible?" Brixton asked confused.
Felix chuckled and replied, "Once you reach the Adventurer Guild, you'll see why."
Brixton scratched his head, still unsure.
" Big bro what about me and big sis Gwendolyn?" Nixie hurriedly raised her hand and asked.
Felix glanced at them, " For now you two will be managing the restaurant?".
Nixie's eyes sparkled with excitement, imagining the piles of gold coins she would soon be counting, her saliva dripped down the corner of her mouth.
Felix shook his head at Nixie's enthusiasm, knowing her thoughts were consumed by wealth.
" Gwendolyn make sure you look after her " He instructed Gwendolyn.
Gwendolyn nodded faintly in agreement.
" What about you big bro? What are you doing to do?" Zephyr asked.
Felix smirked mischievously, teasing, "Me? Well, hehehe..."
