Building A Business Empire From Scratch In Another World

Chapter 137 : Family

"Come on, let's check it out!" Felix said with a bright smile as he led Nixie into the impressive office building.

He pushed open the grand entrance, and they stepped inside.

What greeted them was nothing short of breathtaking, a vast lobby that seemed to stretch endlessly.

The floor was adorned with pristine white marble tiles, intricate golden patterns weaving along the edges like delicate lace.

Towering white pillars stood majestically throughout the space, each one embellished with ornate designs that caught the eye.

Around the lobby were expansive reception desks, all crafted from elegant white marble.

At the center of it all was a stunning fountain featuring an exquisite stone statue, surrounded by fine couches and tastefully arranged tables adorned with vibrant flowers in every corner.

"Wow! Big bro, this place is absolutely beautiful!" Nixie exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with wonder.

Felix chuckled softly. "Let's head upstairs." With that, he guided her to a corner where ten sleek silver doors lined up neatly. Each door had buttons beside it.

"What are those doors?" Nixie asked, curiosity lighting up her face.

"Those are elevators," Felix explained enthusiastically. "They can take us to any floor we want! Just press the number on those buttons," he pointed out.

Nixie nodded eagerly. "Okay! Is this like the wooden elevators at our restaurant?"

"Exactly! But these are much more advanced," Felix replied with a grin.

Standing before one of the elevators, he pressed a button.

With a cheerful ding, the doors slid open invitingly as they stepped inside.

Nixie's curiosity peaked as she examined her surroundings while Felix pressed the button for seventy, the top floor of their new office building.

As they ascended rapidly, Nixie's eyes widened in amazement. "Big bro, are we going up already?"

"Yes! Just a few seconds more," Felix assured her.

Before long, they arrived at their destination; the elevator doors opened to reveal an expansive space—big and airy but currently empty.

"Come on! Let's see your office!" Felix said cheerfully as he walked forward with Nixie trailing behind him.

They approached a separate door at the end of the floor and entered to find an impressive office fully equipped for success: a sturdy desk, an executive chair fit for royalty, shelves filled with books lining one wall, potted flowers adding life to corners, and even an aquarium showcasing colorful fish swimming gracefully about.

"This is incredible!" Nixie exclaimed as she took in every detail, the elegant decor radiated sophistication and warmth.

"What do you think? Do you like it?" Felix asked with genuine interest.

"Isn't it amazing?" Nixie exclaimed, standing behind the desk and gazing out through the expansive glass windows. "From here, you can see so much of Astheria! The view is simply breathtaking."

As she looked out over the vast landscape, tiny dots of buildings dotted the horizon. Below her lay a complete panorama of the industrial base, truly a perfect sight.

Turning around with curiosity, she asked Felix, "Big bro, how did you manage to build such a stunning glass structure?"

Felix replied with a playful smirk, "Let's just say our construction workers are top-notch."

In reality, constructing an entire skyscraper from glass was unheard of in this world. Felix had utilized his system to create this office space.

The of this world have never seen anything like it, a towering building made entirely of glass, and while it might attract attention, that was exactly what Felix wanted.

He aimed to make a statement as he prepared to venture into new industries.

It had been nearly a year since Felix arrived in this world; he had already laid down solid foundations in the Food and Beverages Industry.

Although he hadn't fully explored every avenue yet, he felt ready to branch out into something new.

With a smile directed at Nixie, he asked, "What do you think? This place is perfect for managing our business operations!"

"Absolutely!" Nixie nodded enthusiastically. "Using this location along with the central area will help us manage our restaurants across various cities much more effectively than running from one place to another."

"Great! Get ready," Felix said seriously. "We're going to be busy, really busy."

"Why's that?" Nixie asked curiously.

"We're entering another industry," Felix replied cryptically. "I can't reveal all the details yet, but prepare yourself."

Nixie straightened up and nodded with determination. "Got it!"

"But first," Felix continued, "I need you to recruit a large number of chefs. No special requirements, just skilled professionals who know their craft."

"How many are we talking about?" Nixie pulled out her notebook and pen.

Felix pondered for a moment before responding thoughtfully, "Start with a thousand chefs for now. We'll need even more later on."

Nixie's eyes widened in surprise. "A thousand? Are we planning to open restaurant branches all over the Kingdom?"

Felix shook his head lightly. "I can't explain everything right now, you'll find out soon enough."

"Okay!" Nixie took a deep breath and jotted down his instructions.

"What else do I need?" she asked eagerly.

"You'll also need to hire wine brewers, experts in crafting fine wines and beverages," Felix added.

"Should I recruit another thousand?" she teased with a grin.

"Do you really need me to hire a thousand of them?" Nixie asked, her smile playful and teasing.

Felix chuckled, shaking his head. "Nope, just five hundred will do."

"Got it!" Nixie nodded enthusiastically as she jotted it down in her notebook.

"But that's not all," Felix continued, leaning in slightly. "You should also start scouting for some management talent to fill this building. We need the right people to help run the company and support our team."

Nixie glanced around thoughtfully, taking in the bustling environment. "I know, I know," she replied with a hint of determination in her voice.

"Oh almost forgot" Felix scratched his head and said.

"Can't you just say it all one sentence" Nixie looked at Felix and said with a speechless face.

"Sorry about that" Felix grinned as he looked at Nixie.

"Ok what's that you want me to add?" Nixie shook her head and sigh.

"Here is the thing I want you to start building small restaurants across the entire Wulleamp District but make sure the locations of these restaurants are good " Felix said.

"Why?" Nixie was puzzled as she looked at Felix, " I mean why do want to build small restaurants across the entire district.

" It's part of the reason why I told you hire a thousand chefs" Felix chuckled.

Nixie was utterly bewildered. "Why on earth do we need to hire so many chefs in the first place? And now you want to open small restaurants all over the district?"

Felix chuckled softly, "As I mentioned before, it's hard to put everything into words right now. But trust me, you'll see soon enough."

"Well, it's your decision," Nixie replied with a resigned shake of her head. "You can do whatever you want."

"Good!" Felix beamed. "I promise I'm not doing anything that won't benefit me."

Nixie's brow furrowed slightly as she looked at him. "I hope this turns out to be a good thing."

Her trust in Felix was unwavering; after all, he had pulled them all from the depths of poverty and transformed their lives for the better.

Without Felix, she often wondered where they would be today, lost and uncertain.

Nixie felt a wave of gratitude wash over her as she reflected on how far Felix had brought them all.

She, along with Trinity, Gwendolyn, and Brixton Zephyr, owed their transformed lives to him.

No longer burdened by worries about food, clothing, or shelter, they had stepped into a new world as Mana Cultivators, something that once seemed impossible.

Their lives had completely shifted from the brink of despair to newfound prosperity.

Just thinking about what could have happened if they didn't meet Felix sent shivers down Nixie's spine.

She shook her head to dispel the dark thoughts and turned to Felix, faint tears shimmering in her eyes.

Her gaze was warm and gentle, accompanied by a heartfelt smile that lit up her face.

"Huh!" Felix blinked in surprise at the emotion radiating from Nixie.

"Nixie, is everything alright? Are you okay?" he asked, concern etched across his features.

Nixie nodded and quickly wiped away the tears threatening to spill over. "Big bro, thank you," she said softly, her smile unwavering.

"Thank me for what?" Felix replied, puzzled by her sudden gratitude.

"Stop pretending! You know exactly what I mean," Nixie teased playfully while rolling her eyes.

Felix chuckled and rubbed his nose before stepping closer to ruffle her soft pink hair affectionately. "No need to thank me; after all, we're family."

"Yeah… Family," Nixie echoed with a cute smile that warmed Felix's heart.
