Chapter 135 : Expand
"Big bro, I'm excited to share that all five of our restaurants are thriving in Wulleamp District! It's been over a month since we opened our doors, and the profits we've generated this month alone are impressive. After stabilizing operations, our four 1-Star Restaurants have collectively brought in 80 million Gold Coins, with each restaurant contributing at least, 20 million Gold Coins. Adding to that, our 2-Star Restaurant has raked in over, 30 million Gold Coins, on its own. In total, that's more than ,110 million Gold Coins! After deducting salaries for our talented chefs and staff, we're left with a remarkable profit of 60 million Gold Coins."
Nixie stood before Felix, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she presented the financial report.
Felix listened intently, nodding with a satisfied smile, he wasn't surprised by the success; he had faith in their venture.
"And this is just the beginning!" Nixie continued enthusiastically. "I'm confident that the upcoming months will yield even more promising results."
"That sounds great," Felix replied thoughtfully. "Now let's shift gears, how's the hiring process for chefs going? How many have we brought on board so far?"
With a serious expression, Nixie responded, "According to my reports, we've successfully hired around fifty Spirit Chefs. Most of them are 1-Star Chefs, but we do have a few who are above that level."
Felix raised his eyebrows in surprise. "Fifty? That's impressive!"
"Yes!" Nixie beamed. "Our restaurants are gaining fame and momentum here in Wulleamp District, attracting many talented Spirit Chefs eager to join us."
"Good to hear," Felix nodded approvingly. "So how many 2-Star Spirit Chefs did you manage to hire?"
"Among those fifty chefs," Nixie quickly reported, "we have thirty 1-Star Spirit Chefs, fifteen 2-Star Spirit Chefs, and five 3-Star Spirit Chefs, plus the first three 3 Star Spirit Chefs, totaling eight Star Spirit Chefs!"
Felix was genuinely impressed; he hadn't expected such progress during his time away in the Cultivation Room.
The more he observed Nixie's dedication and talent for management, the very reason he entrusted her with this responsibility, the more satisfied he felt.
"Nixie, you've done exceptionally well," Felix praised her warmly. "I didn't teach you for nothing!"
"Of course not! I learned from the best," she giggled softly while covering her mouth with her dainty hand.
Curious about their next steps regarding the newly hired chefs, she asked, "So big bro, what's our plan for these talented Spirit Chefs?"
"Absolutely, we're putting these to great use!" Felix exclaimed with enthusiasm.
He pulled out two scrolls and unfurled them across the long table.
One scroll showcased a detailed map of Wulleamp District, while the other illustrated Astheria in all its glory.
Pointing at the Wulleamp District map, Felix continued, "Given its size, we can open five more restaurants here without stepping on the other five restaurants ' toes."
He paused for effect before adding, "We'll establish four 1-Star restaurants and one 2-Star restaurant, bringing our total to ten branches in Wulleamp. This is a solid plan since we're targeting the high-end market. However, the number of wealthy and noble families in this district is limited, so it's time to explore other districts for expansion."
Nixie studied the maps intently, her expression serious. "So, big bro, which districts are we eyeing first?"
Felix rubbed his chin thoughtfully as he surveyed Astheria's map. With 108 districts to choose from, Wulleamp was relatively small compared to the others.
"Right now," he explained, "our resources aren't sufficient for larger districts. We should focus on those that are similar in scale and status to Wulleamp." He pointed out five districts that matched this criteria.
Nixie's brow furrowed as she read the names: "Araton District, Riverstone District, Arkfield District, Veilmoor District and Blelport District."
She looked up at Felix with curiosity. "But why these five? They may be similar in size to Wulleamp but are also among Astheria's most significant districts, especially Riverstone and Arkfield!"
Felix chuckled softly before elaborating. "Let's break it down starting with Arkfield District. It's primarily agricultural; about sixty percent of its land is dedicated to farming and livestock production. In fact, Arkfield supplies thirty percent of Astheria's raw food materials! There's a wealth of farmers there who could become valuable partners for us."
He paused briefly before continuing, "Plus, establishing our own farm will allow us to produce fresh ingredients rather than relying solely on external sources, vital for running a restaurant that demands high-quality resources daily."
Nixie considered this carefully before nodding slowly. "I see your point about potential profits from farming… but opening branches there could be risky since the restaurant scene is already competitive."
Felix shook his head confidently. "That's just part of business, risks come hand-in-hand with opportunities! If they can't compete with us when we're new on the scene? That's their issue!"
After a moment's thought Nixie asked curiously about Riverstone District: "And what makes us want to develop there?"
Felix raised an eyebrow playfully. "What do you think sets Riverstone apart?"
"What's special about Riverstone District?" Felix asked with a smirk.
Nixie's eyes sparkled for a moment before she responded, "Riverstone District is truly unique because of the Twilight Stone River that flows through it. That's actually where the district gets its name!"
Felix smiled and nodded, as he asked again. "And what makes Riverstone District stand out even more?"
"Well," Nixie continued with enthusiasm, "it's home to an incredible variety of Magical Beasts living in the water! The Twilight Stone River is teeming with seafood, especially the legendary Twilight Fish. I've heard it's the most delicious fish around, but catching them can be quite a challenge!"
"Absolutely! The Riverstone District boasts an abundance of marine life, everything from fish to crabs and lobsters," Felix chimed in.
"In fact, it produces fifty percent of Astheria's seafood! It's a treasure trove for culinary delights."
He paused for a moment, contemplating their restaurant's offerings. "Even though our Morningstar Restaurant is well-known and our dishes are scrumptious, we're missing something crucial."
Nixie's eyes widened with realization. "Seafood dishes!"
"Exactly!" Felix exclaimed. "We're overlooking a massive opportunity here! We need to open branches in Riverstone District to explore seafood dishes and enhance our restaurant's versatility and diversity."
Nixie sank into deep contemplation, her brow furrowed in thought. After a moment, she turned to Felix and asked, "So, how are we going to distribute all 50 Spirit Chefs across the five districts? Keep in mind that we're developing in all three at once!"
Felix chuckled, waving his hand dismissively. "First things first! We'll open ten branches in each district: five 1-Star Restaurants, two 2-Star Restaurants, and three 3-Star Restaurants in both Arkfield District and Riverstone District. For the remaining districts, we'll establish at least ten branches total. However, Araton and Veilmoor Districts will each have one 3-Star Restaurant. As for the distribution of the others, make a plan and get it to me later."
Nixie nodded in understanding but added with a hint of concern, "But before we dive into those districts, we need to investigate them thoroughly."
"Absolutely," Felix replied. "I'll send word to Zephyr so that the Abyss Eye Intelligence Network can conduct a detailed investigation. Once we have a clear understanding of these areas, we can strategize our next steps."
"Got it, big bro! Is there anything else?" Nixie asked.
Felix shook his head with a smile. "Let's just stick with this for now."
"Alright then! I'm off to get busy; there's going to be a lot of work ahead!" Nixie said enthusiastically.
"Go ahead," Felix replied with an encouraging wave.
As Nixie exited the study room, Felix remained behind, lost in thought.
Suddenly intrigued by something he couldn't quite place, he raised an eyebrow and chuckled softly to himself. "What is it?"
From the dark corner of the room emerged a dense black mist that gradually formed into a figure completely clad in black robes with a hood obscuring its face.
The figure knelt respectfully before him. "Patriarch," it greeted.
With his back still turned toward the figure, Felix smiled knowingly. "What brings you here?"
"The Gate Master sent me with this," the cloaked figure replied as it produced a black scroll from within its garments.
Felix nodded thoughtfully. "You may go." He waved his hand dismissively.
"Understood, Patriarch." The figure bowed deeply before transforming back into swirling black mist and vanishing from sight.
Yet somehow, the black scroll the black figure took out appeared on the table beside Felix.
Curiosity piqued, he glanced at it before opening it up to read its contents.
Moments later, his eyes sparkled with intrigue as an amused smile spread across his face.
"These guys are really interesting! Well… taking care of them could be fun," he mused while shaking his head lightly.
Although he was smiling but his eyes were terribly cold, the temperature in the study room suddenly plummeted.
"Well, well, I was looking for a scapegoat but I didn't expect you guys to bring yourselves" he chuckled coldly.
With that thought lingering in his mind, he tossed the scroll onto the table and closed his eyes.
