Chapter 130 : Worth It
Felix's eyes widened as they entered the new district. .
"Wow! These people really know how to enjoy themselves!" he exclaimed in awe.
"Family Head, we've arrived at Azgarr District!" The coachman's voice rang out from the driver's seat.
"I know," Felix replied, snapping out of his daze.
"Family Head, where are we specifically heading?" the coachman inquired.
Felix shook his head. "For now, just keep driving the carriage. I want to take a good look at this district."
"Understood, Family Head," the coachman said respectfully as the carriage rolled along the wide, luxurious road.
Felix gazed out of the window, drinking in the sights of Azgarr District. He was genuinely impressed; nothing he had seen in Wulleamp District or any of the outer twenty districts could compare.
This place was on an entirely different level! The roads were ten times wider and more opulent than those back home.
The Mana concentration here was staggering, at least a hundred times denser.
From the moment he entered Azgarr District, he sensed at least twenty Tier 5 Grandmaster Knights and Mages nearby.
As for lower-tier cultivators? There were simply too many to count! This was something rare in Wulleamp District.
The buildings towered majestically overhead, adorned with luxury that made Felix's own estate feel like a chicken coop by comparison.
The people strolled through the streets with rosy complexions, draped in fine clothing that spoke volumes about their wealth and status.
Even Felix's carriage, pulled by a Tier 3 Magical Beast, felt somewhat lacking amidst all the extravagant carriages gliding by.
As they meandered through Azgarr District, curiosity bubbled within him; after all, it was one of the top twenty districts in the Royal Capital, five times larger than Wulleamp and far more advanced and beautiful!
Here lived some of the most powerful noble families and affluent merchants; those who resided here wielded considerable authority within the Kingdom.
Those who lives here have lineages that can be traced back hundreds of years even thousands of years ago. Those who loves bed here cannot be mess with at all.
After hours of exploration through just a small part of Azgarr District, Felix refocused on his purpose for being there.
He asked for directions and soon set off again as they navigated through busy streets.
Two hours later, they reached the heart of Azgarr District, a completely different realm altogether!
From above, it resembled a patchwork quilt dotted with magnificent estates; each one easily ten times larger than his own Morningstar Family Estate.
The Mana concentration here felt even denser than elsewhere in Azgarr.
As Felix took it all in, he sighed heavily and shook his head. "These people really know how to enjoy life."
The carriage glided past other luxurious vehicles pulled by massive Magical Beasts radiating power, causing Felix's Tier 3 beast to flinch slightly whenever they passed by such imposing creatures.
A few minutes later, they stopped before an enormous black iron gate guarded by soldiers in standard armor.
"Stop!" A guard suddenly stepped forward, halting the carriage in its tracks. The coachman sprang up from his seat, swiftly opening the doors as Fekic emerged.
As he stepped out, Fekic's eyes flickered with surprise at the imposing line of guards standing at the entrance.
The Mana fluctuations radiating from them revealed they were all Tier 4 High-Level Knights.
"These Noble Families are really good huh!", Fekic thought, taken aback by such a luxurious lineup as guards.
"Who are you? And what brings you to the Maywraith Noble Family Estate?" one guard demanded, fixing his gaze on Felix.
Snapping back to reality, Felix offered a polite bow and flashed a warm smile. "I'm Felix Morningstar, here to see Young Master Quill."
The guard's eyes widened in surprise as he scrutinized Felix from head to toe. "What business do you have with the Eldest Young Master?"
Maintaining his gentle demeanor, Felix replied, "We're friends! He invited me for a visit."
"Do you have proof?" the guard pressed.
Felix nodded confidently and produced a token, presenting it for inspection.
As the guard examined it, his expression shifted to one of astonishment.
He looked back at Felix and bowed slightly. "I apologize for my earlier rudeness."
"No worries," Felix waved dismissively. "You were just doing your job."
Relieved, the guard said, "I still need to confirm this with the Eldest Young Master."
"Of course," Felix replied with an understanding smile.
"Please wait a moment; I'll be right back." The guard bowed again before hastily disappearing through the gate.
Felix didn't mind their caution, in fact, he admired their dedication.
It made him consider hiring some guards for his own Morningstar Family Estate!
.As he stood there in awe of his surroundings, he couldn't help but think how modest his estate felt compared to this grand estate.
His estate looks like a chicken coop compared to this one infront of him.
"This guy really knows how to live!" he muttered under his breath while waiting.
After about half an hour, the massive iron gate swung open once more, this time accompanied by laughter.
"Hahahah! Big bro Felix! You made it!" boomed Quill as he bounded out like a joyful whirlwind. His considerable belly jiggled with each step while his cheeks flapped animatedly.
Felix was momentarily speechless at this giant meatball charging toward him but quickly realized that despite Quill's size, he was surprisingly agile!
In an instant, Quill reached him and enveloped him in a bear hug that nearly knocked him off balance. "Hehehe! I thought you'd never come!"
"It's great to see you again too, Quill," Felix chuckled as he returned the embrace.
"Come on! This isn't a place for chit-chat; let's head inside " Quill enthusiastically pulled Felix towards the gate.
Quill glanced at the guards, a confident smile playing on his lips. "This is my big brother," he declared, his voice firm yet friendly. "Don't stop him again when he comes here, got it?"
The guards quickly dropped to one knee, their expressions shifting to one of respect. "Understood, Young Master," they replied in unison.
"Good!" Quill nodded proudly, feeling a swell of satisfaction. "Now, let's get the coachman to park the carriage inside."
With that, Quill and Felix strode through the towering iron gate.
-------------------------
Nestled within a sprawling, tranquil garden, Quill and Felix sat in a charming pavilion, their laughter mingling with the gentle rustle of leaves.
"Big bro Felix! I honestly didn't think you'd come to visit me. I thought you'd forgotten all about me!" Quill exclaimed with an exaggerated sigh.
Felix chuckled warmly, "Of course I had to come! After everything we've been through together, how could I not?"
Quill leaned forward, curiosity sparkling in his eyes. "So, how have you and the others been settling into the Royal Capital?"
Felix nodded thoughtfully. "It was tough at first since it's our first time here, but we're managing well now."
"That's great to hear!" Quill replied enthusiastically. "Where are you guys staying?"
"We've got an estate in Wulleamp District," Felix said casually.
"Wulleamp District? Which one is that?" Quill asked, scratching his head in confusion.
Felix paused for a moment, as he looked at Quill with a speechless face but he understands since this guy have mostly lived his life in this big and luxurious district.
"It's one of the smaller districts on the western side of the Royal Capital," Felix explained gently.
"Oh!" Quill said sheepishly. Then he perked up with an idea: "Why don't I buy an estate here so you guys can move closer?"
"No, no! We're perfectly fine where we are," Felix quickly waved his hands dismissively but smiled warmly at Quill's offer.
He understood that while Quill seemed naive and generous-hearted, he was also quite astute.
If they moved to Azgarr District under Quill's protection, given his Maywraith Noble Family's influence they would be save but at the same time they would also exposed to greater risks.
Felix shook his head with a smile. "I must say, your family residence is enormous! Even my estate pales in comparison."
"Hahaha! Well, our Maywraith Noble Family is one of the largest clans in Astheria and throughout the Kingdom!" Quill beamed proudly as he patted his chubby cheeks.
Felix nodded knowingly; he was well aware of the immense power wielded by the Maywraiths in Astheria, the Royal Capital of Avalonia Kingdom.
"So what brings you guys to the capital?" Quill asked suddenly.
Felix shrugged casually. "Back in Brigdemoor City, we ran a restaurant business and decided to open branches here as well. We've already set up five locations in Wulleamp District, business starts three days from now!"
"Wow! You guys work fast!" A look of surprise lit up Quill's face. "It's only been a few days since you arrived!"
"Yeah," Felix replied with a grin. "We have a big family to feed!"
"Actually, that's exactly why I'm here," Felic suddenly declared.
"Oh? What is it you need, big bro? Just so you know, there's nothing in Astheria I can't handle!" Quill boasted, thumping his fleshy chest with confidence.
Felix waved his hand dismissively. "It's nothing serious. I just need to get my hands on some ingredients, though they're pretty rare and hard to find."
"Oh, that? Piece of cake! I thought you were in some major trouble," Quill replied, looking a bit let down.
Felix raised an eyebrow at Quill. Did he want him to land in hot water or something?
"So what materials do you need?" Quill asked directly.
Felix pulled out a neatly folded piece of paper and handed it over.
Quill scanned the list and nodded thoughtfully. "Hmmm! Now I see why these are tricky to find; some of them are even rare for me!"
Felix's eyes widened slightly. "So you can't get them?"
Quill rolled his eyes playfully and patted his chest again. "I didn't say they can't be found! Just give me three days, and I'll have everything for you."
"Thanks a lot, man!" Felix sighed in relief, a smile spreading across his face.
"Don't mention it!" Quill waved off the gratitude before leaning in curiously. "So what are you planning to do with these materials?"
Felix chuckled softly. "I'm going to make something special! But for now, it's a secret. When it's ready, I'll invite you to try it out!"
Although Quill was itching to know more about Felix's mysterious project, he decided not to pry further. "Alright then! I'll be waiting for this surprise!"
"You bet!" Felix grinned back.
As for why he didn't inquire about the cost of those materials, it was simple: bringing up money might strain their budding friendship and upset Quill.
Besides, he had picked up on Quill's honest and humorous nature during their journey to the Royal Capital.
To Felix, building a friendship with someone like him, valuing personality over powerful connections, was worth far more than any price tag.
