Chapter 213: Sword Abode
Chapter 213: Sword Abode
Wrik's sight cleared slowly, and he felt like he was in some unknown space. He did not get what the feeling was, but it was nothing like he ever felt before. Luckily, he had everything, including the sword, bracelet, and armour with him, though the scene before him was nothing but barren land.
Moreover, the best thing about this was that all his injuries and fatigue were healed like he never encountered those men at all. What type of sorcery was this? Clearly, it was something above his understanding.
[Welcome to the Sword Abode.]
As the transparent message appeared, the space shook and thousands of swords appeared stuck to the ground. Wrik raised an eyebrow and tried to feel one. He picked up one, and thought it was finally carved, but nothing else. He was waiting for the trial that he had to go through to get the strength he would need, yet all he got was a barren space and thousands of swords.
Scrutinising everything that came in his vision, Wrik started to walk towards the mountains before his eyes. Still, the odd feeling he had before did not leave him. The air here was heavy and breathing was a little hard, but the mana density here was superior to any place he ever visited. It was almost tens of times more compared to Gala. Yet why so bad when it comes to air?
A light bulb appeared in Wrik's head and with a thought, he enabled the [Eye of Insights]. His vision cleared and so did his perception heightened. He could feel the modality of the place more now, though it was far from solving it. Well, he could not tell what's wrong in the first place, other than that this place was entirely different from the tower.
The sky was empty and dark. There was not even a single star like the artificial ones he had seen inside the tower. Does that mean this place was outside of the tower? Perhaps, or it could also be that the artificial sky was turned off here. Whatever it was, he would not know.
He transferred his gaze to the sword in his arm again. Instantly, his eyes glinted, even though they already had that white glow in them. Before he had not seen what's wrong with the sword, but now he could somewhat see the modality of the sword.
It was as if the sword was not real. He pulled another one from the sides and inspected it, comparing both of them together. Both of the two were of different shapes, yet they were similar in oddity. He checked a few more as well, and all of them gave a similar vibe.
Each of the swords was different, yet in a sense, they were similar. It was as if they were made by the same person.
Forgetting everything about his trouble, Wrik sat down on the barren land with the few swords in his arm. He turned the eye to the next level as his perceptive doubled and got his attention on the sword.
He did not know why, but he felt bringing out the secret of the sword was the test of the Sword Abode. Literally, there was nothing apart from the swords and mountains. There might be something on the mountain, but he would like to see what's the deal with the sword first.
His high perceptive eyes inspected as his mind got filled with weird white lights. Wrik gritted his teeth and concentrated on the lights more and he started to see what it was. The more he saw, the more flabbergasted he got.
The lights were nothing other than the Axi scripts engaging together to make omega codes, and the omega codes together made the sword. This level of creation was beyond his level of understanding. Without the [Eye of Insights] he might never even find out about it.
It seemed his choice of learning to design turned out to be the right choice even though then he did not even have the slightest idea. Light attributes combined with the codes could create such things.
Keeping his mind under the control of those outrageous thoughts, he put his mind into uncovering the secrets of the codes.
Keeping his eyes on the codes in his mind, his palm worked and pulled out the designer pen that he got from Dairyland, the omega cube. He opened an empty holographic empty paper above the cube. Without a second thought, he started copying the axi scripts.
He was not trying to imitate the same things, but just doing a copy. There was no way he would succeed with his current level if he tried to imitate it. So the best thing he could do was copy it now and try when he has more time. He had not forgotten the trouble they were in and, worse; he had left Anton on his own.
The more he copied, the more startled he got. Though these scripts have some resemblance to the elnin and elneo, it was far more ancient and complicated. It would not be wrong to say, Elnin and Elneo were invented by these. Moreover, they have a similar vibe to the ones he saw with the weirdness that attacked him with the knowledge.
While the orb had an outrageous amount of knowledge that he did not know where to start, this one was straight up, barely simple enough for him to understand.
Time progressed, and he forgot how long he could use the ability to watch over the scripts. He was only a few steps away from getting the insight of the light sword, though he was not sure about if he could use it or not with his current ability.
A little piercing pain appeared in his head and Wrik gritted his teeth to continue. He was barely on the verge of completing one of the omega codes. How could he let it go now?
There were only about twenty chains of runic patterns left on the single. He did not know if all the codes were identical, but the farther he had seen others, they did look identical and made out of the same scripts together, though the shapes were different. So, uncovering one of the codes will probably make things easy for him.
Grounding his teeth, he ignored the pain as it got worse for him to continue, but he kept on going. His mind and arms work in sync, watch the chain, uncover the scripts and their flow and copy it in the cube.
His breathing got heavy and the blood pressure rose. Wrik cursed his mind and used the bracelet to swirl his mana even harder to calm the blood pressure.
12 more left and it would take half a minute more, though he did not know if he could survive till his head brust with the blood and grey matter. If not for the bracelet, he would never be able to calm his body while multitasking, uncovering, and copying.
He continued keeping in mind this might be the only way to solve the mystery behind the orb. Just when he was about to complete the last script, his mind black and he appeared in the empty space again. It was the void of nothingness and all he saw was the white light nothing else.
The chains of omega code glittered brightly with white light and rushed towards his mind, assaulting and infusing with his mind.
It was not just outside the weird things were happening, even on the outside. The sword turned into pure white light before it got sucked into his body and slowly turned to nothing. There was nothing in his arm now. The sword was already gone, as it was only an illusion before.
Wrik came back to reality, and a few notifications greeted his view. He sucked in a cold breath and a thin smile appeared on his lips when he read the notifications.
[Congratulations! Your light attribute upgraded to Light's Illumination (Legendary), Mastery: F]
[Maha Mana increased by 1.]
[Intelligence increased by 1.]
[Perception increased by 1.]
[Light's Illumination (Legendary): Mastery: F
- Light's Creation: This is one of the most ancient arts of Maha. it uses the waves of light as a tool of creation. With the help of suitable axi scripts, Light's Illumination could create anything, though the thing could be limited and short-lasting, considering the maha mana and level of light's illumination and scripts used in it.
- Light's Illusion: Other than the creation ability, Light's Illumination is best at creating illusions. it was almost impossible for an outsider who does not have great knowledge in scripting or illusions to tell apart real from fake.]
Wrik could not help but let out a deep breath and let himself fall on his back. He laughed on the barren field. If what was written on the test was current, then he got some core power of maha. Moreover, he thinks he has a high affinity towards it.
