Broken Tower Saga: The First Swordsman

Chapter 130: Power Up (2)

Chapter 130: Power Up (2)

Ryat smiled at everyone.

"First, let's start with the archer," he said, opening a certain cosmic space pouch from another pouch. He opened a bow out of it. It was not small in size, lengthen over one metre and red in colour.

Jacob was no expert in appraising a bow, but his pupils turned wider when he saw the red bow on the arm of Ryat. It was a lot larger than the one he uses, but Jacob did not feel any problem with the size though it was far heavier too.

"I think you should check out its specification," saying that the bald salesman sent out the details about the bow to them.

[Item: Red Redemption

The bow is made of 20% Lubricis alloy, 50% Cold Steel and the rests are Fire crystal and Megnarite, which gives it a fire attribute and more flexibility. It is inscribed with acceleration runes that could bring the firepower of the arrow by 10% and is quite easy to handle rapid shots.

-Give 10% more accuracy.

-Give 5% more focus.

-Give 5% more fire damage.]

"This thing is far better than the bow I am using," Jacob said, but his face lost the enthusiasm he showed when he first held the bow. "But I don't think I have enough credits to buy this, still I would like to ask how much is it?"

"Well, the price may be somewhat the limit a novice like you could buy," Ryat said. "If it was omega points, it was worth 2500 points, and in credits, it would go over 40 million omega credits."

"Just pack it back," Jacob said ruefully. "There is no point showing it to a peasant like me."

"Well, I knew you could not buy it, but you could at least borrow it for the rest of the test."

The Baldman's next words made Jacob's expression a little better, and so was everyone else's.

Then the bald salesman explained how that works. It appeared they were allowed to buy items within the limit of the test. All they have to do was sign a maha contract that if any damage is caused to the item in between the time period, the borrower would bear all the fault and would have to pay for the damage.

"But that has a price as well. There are some protocols in the test that none could break," Ryat said. "For one month, you need to give me 300000 omega points in exchange."

"That is still too much," the archer sighed again. He had just about one-third of the amount.

"I can pay for it if you like," Wrik said. "I know this bow would be extremely useful to use, especially after the awakening fire attribute."

"But--" Jacob was still reluctant.

"Just think like you are borrowing from Wrik," Anton said, giving a shoulder pat to the archer. "You can always give back the credits later when you have it."

Jacob thought for a second and nodded. He could very well pay it back after the test. Earning 300000 omega credits was not hard; for instance, he already had one-third of the worthentirely earned from the sanctuary. Given the test, he was very sure the rewards would be far better than the missions of the sanctuary.

In the end, Jacob took the arrow with more fire attributed arrows. His debt towards Wrik increased to 450000 omega credits. You could not just borrow arrows as it was an expendable article.

After dealing with Jacob, Ryat turned towards Davin. "What type of skills do you need?"

Davin did not need to think. He already did that before. "I need Earth Attributed sword art."

"Habitual or the regular version?"

"Regular," Davin answered without a second thought.

Habitual sync might be good for learning it faster, but it had some side effects as well, and it cost at least ten times, if not more, than the regular version. While regular was just like a textbookyou will get a detailed explanation about the skill in your omega account and anything else would depend on you.

"My friend, you are in luck then," Ryat said, opening the omega window. He swiped in the mid-air a couple of times, then looked like typing. He nodded, finding what he was looking for. "I have just the thing you are looking for."

With a swipe towards Davin, the bald salesman sends the details about the article.

[ Skill: Thousand Ton Sword Art (Grade: S) (Incomplete)

Regular version: 1000 omega points or 10 million omega credits.]

"Why can't I see the details about the skill?" Davin frowned, noticing there was no information about the skill.

"Because there is none," Ryat smiled. "The creator of this art is quite. .. um, what should I say. Picky. Yes, the creator of the skill was quite picky. He had left no description nor any remark. Moreover, he had not given any HS version of it."

"So how could I know if this thing is useful or not?" Davin asked. They were talking about quite a large sum here, even though he did not have that much he could borrow it from Tanya who held the credits lest by Mistress Sophia. Tanya would not make any fuss if the purchase was applicable.

"You have no way of knowing this. But this is surely the best earth attribute sword art and I give my word it is more powerful than anything you would find in this price range, even though it is incomplete." Ryat thought for a moment to open his lips again. "I should not say this, but you guys already met the creator of this skill."

"What? Who was it?"

"The manager of your sanctuary, Harakatz Bolvin," Ryat said. "Don't have the wrong idea that anyone assigned to the lower floor is not that strong. As far as I know, he may be as strong as your superior Sophia Syfinn."

Davin and others were quite startled, hearing that out. Even Wrik too. he had met Harakatz more than twice. He was the guy that brought them to the sanctuary and even fined them for making a ruckus at the cafeteria. The feeling Wrik got from Harakatz was that he was an honest man.

Tanya opened her lips first. "Davin, there is no need to think twice. If you want this, just tell me. 10 million is not that large of a sum."

"By the way, did you awaken your element yet?" Wrik asked with curiosity.

"No, but I have the catalyst. I had second thoughts about using it before, but I can't wait for more," Davin answered. "Mistress Sophia bought it for me."

"Then why are you waiting? Just buy it."

In the end, Davin chose to buy it, and Tanya paid for it.

"Now for the sword," Ryat eyed Wrik. "What type of sword do you want?"

Wrik showed the sword he had been practising with. "Similar to this long sword, but better quality."

"Umm," Ryat thought for a while. He did not unpack any of his bags, but opened the omega window again. "I may have one or two items related to the Light attribute, but none of them were swords. It's quite rare, you see."

"That's fine," Wrik replied nonchalantly. "All I need is a sword that I don't have to worry about breaking against any opponent in the test."

"That is easy then," Ryat said, sending out details about a sword almost identical to the sword Wrik was holding.

[Item: Zandra's Longsword model S3

This item was made from lubricis alloy, Cold Steel and Heavy silver. This model of the sword is known for its marketability throughout the tower. With Zandra's reputation, this sword was worth every amount of its price.

- Raise mana revolution speed by 20%

Price: 500 omega points or 8 million omega credits.]

"Do you have anything better?" Wrik frowned.

"Yes, but it would only be wasting your money. They do not just make swords or any weapons with higher specifications with no attributes. Moreover, you should save money, anything of the rare element could help a lot."

Wrik exhaled a hot breath, then bought the sword, rather than borrowing it. After that, he bought two armour sets with 10 million for him and Anton. It was of far superior quality than the ones they had. He even searched for any useful skills, pity he found none. In the end, he asked Lily, "Sister Lily, do you need anything?"

She shook her head without any thoughts. "Our weapons are made in our clans. We do not use weapons made outside of the clan."

That seemed like a rule of the Mah'shai D'borge clan, but Wrik could not say if it was good. In the end, Wrik nodded to her.

He helped Byul buy a couple of spell formulas with 5 million more. Tanya and Michelle bought nothing, as they had said. The bald salesman was about to depart when Wrik asked him to wait for a while.

"You guys go practice, I need a private moment with Mister Ryat here," Wrik said to others who gave him a startled look, but nodded.

After everyone left, Ryat asked Wrik with a smile on his lips. "Is it about the light attribute catalyst I gave to you?"

Wrik nodded. "Let's go someplace quieter," he said, showing the way out of the training ground.

Author Note: There was a mistake about the Omega Points in the previous chapters. I changed the worth of Swift Boot (Anton won in Wheel of Fortune) from 20000 to 2000.  And same for the Light attribute catalyst.  Sorry for the mistake. Thank you.
