Blood Titan System

Chapter 59 To Die Or To Survive

Erian's inhuman scream was drowned by the screams of the several hundreds of students their was certainly very terrifying to witness even the people in white had to place in noise cancellation devices in their ears to block the noises. The terrifying screams from the hundreds of enhanced students gathered together, forming ripples that undulated visibly in mid air. But it had little to no effect in helping their condition.

Erian felt another dozen hot syringe pierce through his back, into several segments of his spinal cord as it pumped another hot fluid into his body. This made the pain erupt to another level. He felt as though his bone marrow had melted and his spinal cord had turned to liquid. As though it was far from enough, the fluid continuesly floed into his blood stream, organs heart and flesh as though his body was a dying sponge.

As if the fluid was an intelligent being with knowledge about DNA, it rapidly began changing Erian's DNA sequence, editing it one by one and completely rewriting it. Erian's scream climbed up by a few octave as an excruciating pain that even seem to touch his soul entered his body. He felt as though someone was busy cutting, melting, hammering and at the same time tempering his body at very high temperature.

The pain was extreme and Erian wished he could just faint to numb the pain. He didn't know why this was more painful than stated by other people. If other people were to experience this type of pain, barely anybidy would pass the transition.

,m If someone were to inspected Erian's body through a microscope, one would notice as his blood cells began mutating in an unknown pathology. His strands of DNA were being destroyed but at the same time reconstructed in an entirely different manner. They were getting even stronger and denser after each wave of destruction and reconstruction.

A few segment of the double helix shaped DNA started were being cut out as though they were useless and were being replaced by other foreign matters. This time, Erian's body slowly started to turn red which was a sign that his body and genes were being overloaded by the change. If the fluids didn't stop its destruction, Erian's body would exploded into a bloody mess.

Erian's scream constantly varied from sharp to hoarse and then to weak. Even his lungs were being destroyed by his intense screaming which was then repaired by the energy within the serum.

Suddenly, the pain vanished like smoke, only to be replaced by a faint feeling of soarness. Erian gasped hoarsely in relief as his body could finally rest. He honestly thought he was going to die.

His head was ringing intensely as he felt his brain pound like a tempering hammer. He couldn't hear or see what was happening around him due to the fact that the genetic code that made up his eyes had been destroyed and reconstructes. With enough time, his body would get used to it and he would finally be able to see and to hear.

Everything around his was darkness, even his own voice couldn't be heard. But Erian didn't care about that right now, all he wanted right now was to rest even if its just for a minute. Erian wished the pain wouldn't come back and only wanted it to end.

Just as his eyes closed, his pod made a few sounds as the tubes of greenish fluids stuck in his shoulder reduced in amount, depositing more greenish set of hot fluid into his body.

Right now, Erian's will power was at its limit and he really wished he could just die, but if he did, all the work he had down so far would go to waste and the grudges he had wouldn't be fulfilled. He would be counted as the weakest of the weak since he couldn't even survive the transition from becoming an higher lifeform. Leah wouldn't even remember that a guy name Erian ever existed and his revenge wouldn't even be close to being completed.

Even with his fading consciousness, Erian managed to persevere and held on to the thought of living and revenge. Those two were the only strange emotions that kept him going.

Bit by bit, his genome were being destroyed and then reconstructed back as the fluid passed through his cells. Humans are made up of genes which are set in a specific pattern, creating the shape of the nose, the eyes legs and other parts of the body, those patterns are call genetic codes or genome. The fluids entering Erian's body was like a form of a very effective editing program which reforms the entire body structure into that of a Titan. The fluids were a mass of nanobots, mixed with the spinal fluid from a Titan and other materials from Colossus, Kaiju's and herbs.

The Titan body was the only pure form the human body could sustain without the risk of exploding, taking over or mutation.

Several Genetist had tried rewriting the genetic makeup of the body into that of a different specie such as the Ape-x Colossus and several other strong species that could increase the strength and survival of the human race but there had been one problem or the other preventing the experiment from being successful. The only ever successful experiment was the Titan body. It was the purest form of genetic map that was relatively closer to the human body's genetic makeup, giving the humans even more strength. And also, the Titan body could also grow stronger through several means, making it absolutely perfect for the human body to sustain. Therefore, the transition to a Titan became mainstream and those who could become Titans received respect from people all over the world. Even the federation grant Titans several access that a normal citizen is unable to acquire.

"Uh?" A white-clothed Geneticist frowned with a peculiar expression as he gazed at the glass tablet in his hands.

"What is the matter Geneticist Park-Jeun?" A junior who was also dressed in white asked.

Geneticist Park-jeun didn't immediately reply and continued to gaze at his tablet. There were about 400 hundred dots on the tablet signifyimg each student in a pod but there was one dot that was blinking a red light. As he clicked on it to veiw the status report a few messages popped up.

"The student at Pod 367 would most likely fail the transition process." The Genetist soon spoke.

"One out of 400? It's considered a great result, there's no need to be overly worried sir."
