Chapter 48 Meeting An Acquaintance

"Nothing really, just want to check up on my college information." Erian shrugged but then asked.

"You didn't apply to any university?"

Newfang shook his head and smiled bitterly. "Sadly I'm of a 1-star talent otherwise I wouldn't be here working and be studying instead."

"Oh!" Erian blinked his eyes awkwardly, not knowing what to say for comfort. Although most people form the common class had 1-star talents, it still isn't a thing to be proud of especially since one is fated to remain an Enhanced forever. With only slightly longer lives compared to normal humans.

"What University did you apply for, anyways?" NewFang asked, trying to get rid of the awkward silence

Erian replied without thinking too much about. "War God Academy."

Newfang nodded unconsciously. "The name seem decent, seem like a good uni- Uhn?" His eyes opened wide once the information about the University flashed in his memory. How could he not remember a university with only 20 percent chance of survival? He and his friends had made a joke about the University saying even if they accept 1-star talent, they will never dare apply into that university.

Now, he was hearing a person volunterily enter the university, Newfang couldn't help but think Erian was in a hurry to the after life.

"Wait? The minimum requirement for the university entrance exam is 3-star and last I heard, you were of a 2-star low grade nuclear pulse, did you make a mistake." The young worker frowned as he gazed at Erian with a frown.

Erian just shook his head. "Don't think to much about it. Is there an availabile Cybernet here?"

The young worker's furrowed brow loosened. He found tell Erian had changed from the last time they spoke, he seem a little confident, perhaps a little too confident. But since it wasn't his life, he wouldn't tell othe people how to live theirs.

"Seat 36 is available. Don't worry about the money, I will take care of it. You can just leave when you're done alright. I need to take care of other matters, see you later."

"Thank you. I appreciate." Erian smiled, tapping the young man's shoulder, he turned around and began searching for the seat.

He could see a few students checking their E-Box for any new information about the university they applied for.

Erian sat on a chair with soft fluffy leather attire and before him were two large panel of transparent glasses.

The large on the top was the screen while the other one in the table was the keyboard. Erian turned it on by swiping the large 24 inches transparent glass from left to right.

With a sound, a soft glow emanated from the glass as a screen appeared.

Typing in his information, Erian froze slightly when his password was asked. He suddenly couldn't remember what he used for the password. Shrugging, he place his thumb on the side of the small rectangular shaped glass that's the keyboard.

An animation of a scanning fingerprimt appeared in the screen.

"Identification complete!"

"Welcome, Erian."

Swiping out the message, he checked his inbox.

There were several messages there, some of which were about tech information. They were channels the previous Erian was interested in.

However, Erian wasn't interested in seeing this, what he really want to see was a message from the university.

"War God University wish to congratulate you on your application to our university. Your application has been successful and we welcome you on board."

"The entrance examination will be taken on the Universuty grounds, therefore a train would be around to pick you up in '3 days, 17 hours and 7 minutes ' at this location 'Latitude: 37.41061, Longitude: 72.04160'"

"Please be there in time to board the train. Say goodbye to your friends and family before you leave."

"Below is a list of things you could bring to the university."

"1. Nothing."

"Stay safe."

A picture of an AI generated lady flashesd a smile at Erian as he finahed reading message.

Erian breathed our a sigh of relief. Even though this was to be expected, Erian was still glad his application was accepted. Moreover, he was now a 3-star talent. Therefore Erian wasn't particularly worried about being detained.

After setting up somethings, with his account and checking a few things on the Cybernet, he finally exited the café after about thirty minutes.

He directly went to a tech store and bought a Cyber Wristware for about 20,000 bronz. He knew he was going to need it where he was going. Previously he didn't have the cash to buy such a tech, but now with a enough cash on him, twenty thousand wasn't worth a lot of money in his eyes.

As Erian activated the Cyber Wristware, he couldn't help but be impressed. This was the most high tech device he had seen so far, a notch higher than even glass screens he had seen in the store.

As he turned it on, his wrist lit up as a seven inches rectangular screen appeared on his wrist. It seems as though his skin was the screen itself!

Erian was surprised. He had no idea how it was entirely possible, but he was loving it. Setting up hjs information, he connected his bank details, his security number and his E-box along with a few website with the Cyber Wristware.

After he was done, Erian went to his room, grabbed the bag of money and headed towards Old Jon. The man rarely asks questions which was why Erian went to him. Moreover, he claimed to transact in all kinds of business.

Erian enetred into the old man's store and was slightly surprised to find a young lady speaking with the old man. The store rarely has customers and everytime he was here, he had never seen a single person walk past the store, hence his surprise.

Erian walked quietly to the counter.

"Hey. Erian right?" The young lady flashed him a smile.

Erian suddenly remembered where he knew her from. She was the lady in the store where he had submitted his quota for the sterilized syringes the last time.
