Blood Titan System

Chapter 39 Ruthless

Huffing sounds echoed within the now quiet cave. The flash light illuminated part of the cave to reveal Erian's bloodied figure.

Chuncks of flesh and bones hung on his arm with blood and tissue meat trickling down from it.

Erian's nose scrunched up as the smell of guts and blood wafted into his nose. Proceeding to ignore it, he didn't dwell over the fact that he has just killed a fellow human. It was as though this wasn't his first time killing someone.

Finally, the corners of his lips curved into a smile. The Rainbow-stalk fruit had ripened and was bringing out an extremely smell that even Erian was almost unable to resist.

Erian carefully plucked the fruit from the stalk. This was the main reason why he had followed this group. He needed lots of nuclear energy and was well aware the violet-stalk plant contained massive amounts of them. Therefore, he decided to show him self even when it meant putting his life in danger. Even if they didn't ambush him, he still would have killed them all for the sake of the Rainbow-stalk fruit and Toxic Iron-back Tiger King's genetic nucleus. And if he couldn't succeed in killing them, he would just steal it and flee. He had given them a false name anyways. It wasn't likely they would meet again.

The amount of nuclear energy condensed inside of the fruit is enormous to the extent it had turned toxic to even a level nine expert. But Erian wasn't afraid he would be poisoned. Immediately he touched the fruit, massive streams of energy flowed into his body as though a dam had been opened. His body was like a black hole, absorbing the energt like a sponge. Even after ten seconds, the absorbsion was still going on.

"So much!"

Looking at increase in nuclear energy, Erian grinned wildly and he licked his lips like a hungry mad man.

Finally, the fruit started to decay rapidly and the energy beings sucked was starting to reduce until it could no longer provide anymore nuclear energy.

Suddenly, his eyes flashed with a cold light. Unable to relish his gains, Erian ducked from an arrow that came from the entrance of the cave. At the entrance of the cave, behind a tree, Nadja couldn't believe what she saw.

She assumed that Erian was long dead, but who would have thought he would slaughter her entire team.

"How good is this kid? Dodge is at the eighth level and he is almost of the same genius level as Clevel"

A handful of geniuses are certainly able to exceed ranks in battle with their terrifying senses and strengths. Especially those who had taken lots of Strengthening serums to increase their physique.

Although geniuses may have lower levels, but as long as they hit you, even with a lesser force, a human would surely still feel the pain unlike opposing a mutated beast.

"Since they are all dead, all these materials are mine now."

Nadja carried a haversack of materials, shot out of the cave crazily, and started to flee.

"Who said you could leave?"

Erian darted out from the cave like a bullet. He couldn't let her escape.

"Fast!"

Nadja abandoned the sack and bow, then evaded Erian's fist strikes by hitting the ground tumbling.

"That's some quick reaction!"

Erian was astonished, this girl's strength was around the same level as the twins, both were at the eight level, yet her deftness and reaction was much better than the two. If it had been Dodge earlier, he wouldn't have been able to evade.

"You think you've got an edge over me?"

Her weapon of choice of was two short blades. One with an orthodox upright stance, the other with an unorthodox reverse handle. Her battle stance emitted an intrepid vibe, seemingly able to ward off attacks from all directions, with no loopholes at all.

"Interesting, Take this!"

Erian's fist style and footwork was executed lightly. What seemingly was like a normal punch, in the face of the girl felt like a boulder falling straight at her. The fist trajectory was complex, in a blurr.

Startled, the young girl hurriedly put up her guard, pushing both her blades to the limit and desperately defending against Erian's punch style, sending sparks all over.

"Triple stab!"

Level six and level eight, these two individuals seemed to be 2 levels apart, but with the power of the Eternal Physique Optimization Art circulating within his, within, Erian's nuclear particles exploded and exceeded the strength of even a normal level nine expert. An unrestrained Erian , oppressed the Nadja with an overwhelming offense.

Dang!

She wasn't even able to stab three times before her hands went completely numb from force. With her right arm paralyzed, her blades were forcefully flung to the side, panic set in

"Wai-"

BANG!

What followed was her pretty head exploding like a water melon.

"With my current ability, I can easily neutralize an expert at the sixth level and contend overwhelm an expert at the ninth level with massive nuclear energy discharge."

Shaking off some of her scalp and hair off his body, Erian looked into the sack.

"These beast materials should be sufficient."

Level eight beast pelts were priced much higher than level seven beast pelts. 1 piece could be sold for at least 5,000 bronx

"Mm? This is another gene core?" but it's was only the size of a finger nail, it wouldn't be worth much. Erian directly absorbed the energy within.

Shouldering the haversack, Erian started to scavenge the remains of the corpses.

From Nadja, he found a large wooden box, in it were 10+ stalks of Low-tier, Class 1 herbs, 3 mid-tier, class 1 herbs from Dodge, and a dark green gene core from the twins.

Low-tier, class 1 herbs were valued at 1000 to 2000 bronx per stalk, these should amount to 15,000+ bronx. Mid-tier herbs are priced around 5,000 to 10,000 bronx per stalk, total of 3 would be around quite a few amount.

But this gene core was going to fetch a high price.

Not every mutated beasts had a gene core in it. Even if you search through a hundred beasts, you may not even find even 1 gene core. For beasts that did have a core, it had higher possibility for evolution. In this case, the level nine Blood Shadow Leopard had a gene core in it, and it could have evolved into a Blood Boned Leopard. A Blood Boned Leopard not only retained it's speed, but had enhanced strength and toughness, ranking it at the top few among the mutated high-tier beasts.
