Chapter 104 Toxic Radiation
104 Toxic Radiation
Aryan gritted his teeth, his blood shot eyes glaring straight at Erian. His severed arm wasn't too big of a deal since it would at most take a day to heal but his expression soon changed as he realized his cells near his severed arm weren't regenerating but dying instead.
There was a massive amount of toxic radiation that had poisoned his cells, repeatedly contaminating and killing every cell they come into contact with. If this continues, his injuries would worsen and there would be no hope of regenerating his arm! (1)
Erian was far too ruthless! The amount of radiation placed in his attack had surpassed the amount his body's cell resistance could handle, killing off his cells instead.
If he didn't use his nuclear energy to clear the radiation, there would truly be no hope to regenerate his arm.
"Cold-blooded bastard!" Aryan flared and cursed, staring ferociously at Erian's massive figure, he immediately turned around and fled. Dealing with his injuries was the most important at this moment.
Erian blinked his massive eyes but did nothing to stop Aryan. With his appearance, he wouldn't be so bored anymore. Moreover- Erian's left eye moved and reflected within his pupil was a tiny figure standing at the edge of the nuclear reactor building.
It was forbidden for any student to go near the nuclear reactor which means the person standing at the top of the building should be an envoy or maybe one of the legendary Supernal Class. Nevertheless, it was best to be careful from now. Those from the Elite class and Supernal class would not be easy to deal with.
His muscles trembled in a peculiar pattern that made his massive figure shrink slowly as his muscles and flesh compressed back into his humanoid form. He shook his head as he thought it was a shame. The mission of wanting to use Aryan as practice failed, his opponent wasn't that strong to force him to use even his basic cards.
"Do I have to go to Blood River Volcano?" Erian mulled about it as he headed toward his building. As though he hadn't noticed the lady standing on top of the nuclear facility,
"No matter how risky it is, as long as I don't go too deep, it should be alright."
He was about to enter his building when he heard a voice call out to him.
"Prime Erian!"
Erian paused and glanced backward. A grey-haired student limped in his direction in a hurry. Erian recognized this person as the guy who had almost been crushed by Artyom.
'Is he here to cause trouble even with his injuries?' Erian pursed his lips as he stared curiously at the young man.
Seemingly noticing the change in temperature, the young man quickly explained. "I mean no trouble. I just want to thank you for helping me back there. If you hadn't intervened, my injuries would have been worse than this."
Erian blinked his eyes casually, waving his hands. "Don't get me wrong, I didn't help you. if you were still standing when I arrived, I would have dealt with you the same way."
The grey haired young man's eyes widened and a little bit of panic appeared in them but after a second, he stuttered.
"S-still, even if it is unintentional, you still saved me so thank you."
With an expression of interest, Erian raised an eyebrow. It was his first time seeing someone so- innocent? within the academy.
'Is this guy for real or is he faking it?'
With his sharp senses, they were telling him the sincerity in the young man's face wasn't fake either.
'How did he survive the entrance examination? Interesting!'
Erian nodded his head and accepted the man's apology.
"I-if you don't mind, I'd like to treat you to a meal?" The young man smiled widely as he asked hopefully.
Erian's expressionless eyes glance as the young man without saying anything until the young man was uncomfortable before finally stuttering.
"I-it's fine if you don't want to, later maybe?"
Erian ignored him and entered his building.
As soon as he entered, he noticed Beira, Devert, and the third servant standing by the door. Immediately they caught sight of him, both Devert and Beira stepped forwards and echoed.
"We thank Mr. Erian for the serum."
Their faces still had a few bruises and bandages, but overall, they looked alright the left side of Beira's chest was entirely flat while the other was big, making her figure appear rather awkward.
Erian frowned slightly when he saw this, but didn't say anything, releasing a grunt. If she is lucky, it will regrow in a year since she had taken the drug Erian had bought but if she is unlucky it would take at most ten years to grow it back.
Erian waved his hands and headed straight for his room, making a few calculations in his head. After which, he entered into his student's website, purchasing several guides to the Blood River Volcano. To Erian, a thousand blood points weren't that much.
It took about half a day of preparations before Erian considered himself ready to head towards Blood River Volcano.
The Volcano is filled with countless hidden dangers which are said to have evolved and mutated from the death of countless Titans, beasts, and Levithians.
The probability of a single core titan dying is rumored to be about a hundred percent and only those double cores and triple cores have a slim chance of surviving. But even after these statistics, the institute strangely didn't forbid anyone from venturing into the volcano. It was as though they didn't care for the lives of their students at all.
The Volcano is located at the eastern part of the academy and is estimated to be 10,900 miles wide when measured horizontally from the Major Nuclear facility to the academy walls and 15,500 miles from north to south. It was the size of an entire country on earth but within this world, it was the size of a volcano.
(1.If you are still confused, consider Nuclear energy as food while radiation is the aroma of the Food. That's)
