Chapter 79 - Quan Jue, Youre a Bastard
Chapter 79: Quan Jue, You’re a Bastard
Quan Jue sat opposite Chi Jiao and looked straight at her with his dark eyes.
Chi Jiao curiously examined her surroundings. She felt that this room was indeed decorated warmly. Quan Jue living here was probably not inferior to the Chi family.
At the very least, he would feel more free staying here.
“Does your father know that you’re here?” Quan Jue asked suddenly.
Chi Jiao shook her head and said casually, “It’s my freedom to go wherever I want.”
Her words made her sound like a willful, rebellious child.
“I’ll send you home later,” Quan Jue said indifferently.
Chi Jiao looked up at the clock on the wall. It was already 11 PM.
What should she say to her father if she went back at this time?
At this thought, Chi Jiao shook her head. “I don’t plan to go back tonight.”
Quan Jue’s body instantly tensed up. “You’re not going back?”
Chi Jiao took a sip of milk and accidentally wet the corner of her lips. She stuck out her little tongue and licked at the stain. “It’s too late. If Brother Quan doesn’t want to take me in, I’ll go to the hotel. It’s alright.”
“No!” Quan Jue said without hesitation.
Chi Jiao looked at him in confusion, not knowing what he meant by that.
Quan Jue turned his face away from her, his deep, pitch-black eyes glistening with darkness. “If you don’t want to go back, then stay here for the night. But this is the first and last time. Got it?”
Chi Jiao blinked. She didn’t expect Quan Jue to be so easygoing.
Was it because he had said such hurtful words to her not long ago and he was feeling guilty?
“Then, can I come as a guest regularly in the future?” Chi Jiao asked softly.
“Up to you,” Quan Jue replied indifferently.
Sensing that his attitude had improved, Chi Jiao’s tone became more relaxed. “Brother Quan, what’s wrong with your leg? Can you let me see it?”
Quan Jue recalled the location of his injury and shook his head without hesitation. “It’s just a small injury. I’ve already treated it. It’s alright.”
Seeing how nonchalant he was, Chi Jiao still harbored some doubts. However, she didn’t say anything in return.
“Go take a shower first. There’s a clean towel in the cabinet under the sink in the bathroom. There’s also a new mouthwash cup and a toothbrush.” Quan Jue said, “It’s getting late. Go to bed after showering.”
Chi Jiao also wanted to take a hot shower. She had really been freezing downstairs earlier.
Hence, she didn’t hesitate. She got up and walked toward the bathroom Quan Jue had pointed out earlier.
Quan Jue sat on the sofa. The house wasn’t too soundproof, and if the noise in the bathroom was a little loud, it would be able to reach the living room.
Soon, he heard the sound of water splashing in the bathroom.
This was his first time being in the same room with a girl, and it was the girl he liked. Any normal man would be unable to control himself and think of strange images at this moment, and Quan Jue was naturally no exception.
Sensing that his body was a little hot, Quan Jue stood up and walked to the window to open it.
“Quan Jue, you’re really a bastard.” The scene in his mind made Quan Jue feel filthy, but he couldn’t control himself.
Standing by the window, Quan Jue felt the cold breeze blow past him for a moment. Sensing that the heat in his body had simmered, he closed the window.
Just then, the bathroom door opened and a small figure walked out softly.
“Brother Quan…” A girl’s soft voice was heard from behind him.
