A faint voice rang while Su Tang’s mind was in chaos…
“BEEP! Linking completed! Transmigration success!”
The white light gradually faded. Su Tang was instantly stunned when she got a close look at the environment.
All the trees around her were so huge that it would take four or five men to embrace them. The lush canopy blocked away most of the light. The ground was covered with a thick layer of wilted leaves, which felt soft to the touch and must have taken a long time to accumulate.
The forest was rather dark. Mushrooms the size of bowls could be seen in some damp areas! Vine, as thick as her wrists, crept up the trees. Some of them hung in mid-air and looked scary.
Su Tang stared in shock as she stood motionless with the tray.
A single question kept running through her head…
Where on earth was she? Was this some primitive forest?!
Such fresh air and ancient forests certainly no longer existed in the year 2222.
Su Tang’s hands kept trembling as she held the tray while the operating apparatus clinked crisply.
RUSTLE RUSTLE…
A sound came from the bushes behind. Su Tang hastily turned around and stared at the bush that was almost a meter high!
RUSTLE RUSTLE…
Su Tang was on the verge of tears. She suppressed the tears welling in her eyes and picked up the scalpel on the tray before she aimed it at the bush.
The bush swayed even harder as though something was about to jump out.
Su Tang’s heart palpitated. She was terrified and wanted to run, but her legs had gone limp.
She inhaled before mustering her courage to stare hard at the bush.
The bush shook violently before a white silhouette suddenly leaped out of the bush.
“AHHH!”
Su Tang yelled in shock as tears welled in her eyes. She stumbled behind the tree.
The white silhouette was certainly startled by Su Tang’s scream and hopped away.
Su Tang was a little stunned. Was that a rabbit?
A rabbit the size of a full-grown husky?
She walked up to a tree with her legs shivering.
Su Tang used her sleeve to wipe the tears from the corners of her eyes gently. She wrapped up the surgery apparatus with the cloth inside the tray, placed it inside her pocket, and hugged the tray.
Su Tang huddled under the tree as she scrutinized her surroundings frightenedly. She was still unsure whether she was in a dream or reality.
...
In the forest nearby, a stag hastily raised its head while it was drinking water. It smelled danger in the air and swiftly fled!
A winged white tiger with black stripes suddenly leaped from the tree and ripped the stag’s throat before it even took two steps.
The stag flailed its hooves in resentment before it moaned and closed its eyes helplessly.
“Owooooo!”
Men with animal skin wrapped around their waists and armed with spears fashioned from long sticks tipped with sharp stones charged out from everywhere. They encircled the white tiger and dead stag as they cheered excitedly.
A white light flashed from the winged white tiger before a strong lean man appeared.
“Chief! You were awesome! When will I become as strong as you?”
Cain looked calmly at the man and said, “Keep hunting. I heard something up ahead, so I’m going to check it out!”
“Yes, Chief!”
The moment Cain finished his sentence, he transformed into a huge white tiger and leaped onto a tree branch.
