Chapter 2946 - Fighting Taihe

"However...." After confirming how they would do things, Demoness Yin turned her beautiful, black eyes to Tianming. "This kid’s rather hard to deal with. You should help me take him down. After this, I'll help you fight Yi Daiyan."

"We can't kill him. I still need to use him to find someone," Mister Taihe said, voice low.

"Don't worry! My technique doesn't kill. At most, his mental faculties will regress to that of a child. It won't be a problem." Her voice carried a hint of danger.

"Then, we shouldn't dally." Mister Taihe looked back in the direction of the Sky Palace Formation where countless people watched them, enraged.

Ji Ji's extermination of so many Intrepideans had further reinforced the faith of the denizens of the Sun. Every single person felt a blazing flame in their heart. Such a miracle even made Mister Taihe feel a sense of threat and urgency. If even someone like him felt agitated, Demoness Yin was even worse off. She had made a bad bet that resulted in the deaths of most of her top subordinates. Tianming would have to pay for all of this.

Four foundationeers charged at Tianming mere moments after Ji Ji's explosion. Any cosmic cartographer would be forced to kneel by the sheer force of four foundation fortresses, with first-level ones being turned to dust in a single instant.

Yet Tianming and his burning gaze only grew stronger, even facing enemies of such caliber. His omnisentient power reached new peaks. Gripping his nine-starred Grand-Orient Sword, he let out a low growl, joined by Ying Huo, Meow Meow, Lan Huang, Xian Xian, and Yin Chen. They sharpened their wills and claws as the enemies closed in!

"Kill them!" Not only did Tianming not run, he charged toward Mister Taihe and Demoness Yin! "We already made a huge profit, but we can always do more!" Like a mad fiend, he channeled even more omnisentient power within him.

Ying Huo and the rest grew ever stronger, their bodies filled to the brim with the power of the masses that they had to expunge! Though their bodies were in their compressed forms, their might didn't diminish in the slightest, and not even foundationeers dared to take the bombardment of their abilities straight on. Infernal Haze, Sixpath Infernal Lotus, Triworld Afterlife Halls, Yinyang Boltwheel, Cosmic Lance, Ghoulface Fiendsong, and many more abilities whipped up a storm that wasn’t much less potent than Ji Ji's supernova!

"How fast!" While the other two foundationeers weren’t too much to deal with, given that they were roughly Ba Xiao and Su Tian's level, Demoness Yin was utterly terrifying. With a flash of her black, starry dress, she disappeared entirely from sight, making her much more of a threat!

Tianming had tried to lock her down with his Xia words, only for the five-pupiled white-haired fiend to burst through the lifebound beasts' bombardment and swipe his cosmic-artifact-like claws toward Tianming's head! Li Fan and Zi Zhen were savage and raw enough, but Mister Taihe was the embodiment of those things! The brutish air around him alone caused most people to cower in fear.

What was worse was that he wasn't just using brute force! Instead, his battle arts were swift and precise. Each claw strike and movement had been refined over thousands of years of combat experience. Even as he was merely charging, he left afterimages in his wake, evading all of the abilities of the Primordial Chaos Beasts. When he attacked, his claws seemed to split into tens of millions of forms, an attack that was no less complex than the ultimate sword art of the wonderians that Meng Ying had used! Mister Taihe was no brute, and anyone who thought that paid the price with their life; he was the genius creator of the Starshatter Formation!

"How intense!" Tianming was facing immense pressure from the assault and couldn't afford to divert his attention to look for Demoness Yin. He used his Xia words to suppress the white-haired fiend and just barely avoided getting torn to shreds. Then he split his sword in two and executed his spacetime sword art as quickly as he could. Both swords clashed countless times with Mister Taihe's claws, only barely able to deflect them with every ounce of totem ki, cosmic impulse, and omnisentient power at his disposal.

The monster from Myriadpath Valley was powerful beyond measure. Not only was his body so tough that his claws didn't chip in the slightest when clashing against the Grand-Orient Sword, his attacks were swift as well! Tianming and his beasts were forced back by Mister Taihe alone. Every moment in their melee could spell certain doom.

Mister Taihe's five pupils rapidly spun around and achieved a similar kind of illusory effect to the ebons' taixi divine eyes. Tianming's mental state was greatly affected. Even if he didn't directly look at it, he could feel his vita being pulled toward the vortex that the pupils created. Even with omnisentient power, his astral brain pulsed with pain.

There were some enemies that he knew he stood no chance against in a simple exchange; Mister Taihe was one such enemy. He was far stronger than Ba Xiao and Su Tian. Though his attacks seemed primitive, they were by no means simple, and Tianming already knew that there was so much more he hadn't been using. Mister Taihe was merely helping Demoness Yin subdue him, after all. It would be all too easy for him to kill Tianming straight up, even in his elevated state.

"The gap is far too large!" Even though he refused to give up, he was feeling a chill of terror. Not even the grand lexicon wonder could do much against Mister Taihe, whose every punch and scratch ruptured the ground beneath them. The two of them sank deeper and deeper into the ground as everything around them fell apart.

Tianming's lifebound beasts tried to take some of the pressure off of Tianming to no avail. What was worse was that Demoness Yin and two other foundationeers were still in the fight. As expected, when Tianming started having trouble keeping up with Mister Taihe, they showed up!

Tianming's fused Imperator's Mural and his divine wonder's attacks were completely mitigated by a simple claw strike from Mister Taihe; it seemed that he was even stronger than Demoness Yin.
